The business has been slow for the past few months, but it is picking back up. The jewelry store and the Donuts On A Stick are owned by the same man. I have meet him before, but I did not see him today. Today Lisa was the employee in charge. The dog in the picture is the real boss. The service here is always excellent from when I have been here. The merchandise here is lovely and I almost bought something for myself. I might do aquire something here one day, but I will have to give it some thought. I am sure we will be back here before we leave next Sunday or Saturday. Until then, this place is one of my favorite stores in Duck North Carolina.

It's all in the Silver Lining. On this day of days, we stopped by to see what the store had to offer. I saw one dainty little necklace that could be for a young girl or baby, but did not by it. I have no kids or nieces worthy of such a gift. Besides, they have grown out of the cutesy fartsy faze already. Nevertheless, the work someone did on the peices of art did not pass my eyes without appreciation for the fine details. The staff were polite, but not overly enthusiastic about us being there. It seemed to me at least they enjoyed each other's company than the guests arriving in their store. Nevertheless, I will keep this place in mind for my next book, or find a better location.

We stopped by and it was determined that the integrity of the ring was not good due to previous repairs. Tim suggested we had a replica made and took on the task without hesitation. They made two 3D images and constructed an exact replica that turned out awesome. We could not be more happy with the service and the end result of the new ring. The owners of Muzzie's, Susan and Mike, are a great couple who genuinely care about their pristine antique jewelry finds as well as their customers. They truly seem to be in the business to make good people happy. And that's exactly what they did with us. All of the selling stats of my ring turned out accurate after having an appraisal completed. I love it more than any other piece of jewelry I've ever seen. And it actually is older than we originally anticipated-- diamond hand-carved in Europe circa 1880's (Old Miner's cut). You MUST stop in downtown Manteo to the charming street of shops, including Muzzie's, if you are in the OBX. Not only did Mike let us try on rings and take them outside (by ourselves) to see how they "sparkle in the sun," but Susan hugged us when we left, almost felt like shopping with family.
