The business has been slow for the past few months, but it is picking back up. The jewelry store and the Donuts On A Stick are owned by the same man. I have meet him before, but I did not see him today. Today Lisa was the employee in charge. The dog in the picture is the real boss. The service here is always excellent from when I have been here. The merchandise here is lovely and I almost bought something for myself. I might do aquire something here one day, but I will have to give it some thought. I am sure we will be back here before we leave next Sunday or Saturday. Until then, this place is one of my favorite stores in Duck North Carolina.

They started in PA 30 years ago and ended up falling in love with the Outer Banks and setting up shop permanently there almost 20 years ago now. We love chatting with Cortney while we try things on. The new location is large and they did beautiful renovations themselves. They have more than just jewelry with a selection of home decor, crystals, stones, etc. It's always a must stop for us whenever we're in town, we never leave empty handed!

While Grays did have size stickers on some of their shirts I'd say probably about 50% or more didn't have a sticker. Therefore, I absolutely loved this store! There were a lot of beautiful selections, but at the end of the day I felt that the price of most items was a little too high to justify the purchase. Even for shops in this genre where you'd expect higher price points (independent spiritual shops in small towns that feature a decent selection of locally-sourced merchandise from local artisans), the prices felt a bit high. That all being said, I would imagine that there is a customer base of folks living in or visiting the Outer Banks who could more easily swing the higher price point than I could. If you're in the area and spiritual shops are your thing, this place is definitely work a visit.

I asked if I could stay in the dressing room with my daughters so I could help them and make sure they were okay, but I was told they would need to come out and show me each item instead. This rule made a simple shopping trip take three times longer and was very inconvenient for a mom with special needs children. While there was a sign posted with the policy, I did not notice it beforehand. I understand businesses need rules, but this policy felt impractical and made the experience frustrating. Unfortunately, because of this rule, inflexibility and unfriendliness, I will not shop here again.
