If the blinds were open, you could see the view of the ocean! So nice!

When I was 12 or 13, my mom, her best friend and I took a girls trip to Flagler's beach for a few days. When we pulled into the parking lot, I was dumbfounded. Surely this wasn't our hotel. There was no pool, no second story! But it was spotless and the owners were so sweet! Fast forward thirty years, my husband and I decided that we wanted to go to the beach. After much searching, he and I decided to visit Flagler Beach. The little hotel came up in my search that looked much like the hotel from my youth...and it is! Despite's it age, this is truly a super clean hotel! The place has been completely updated and remodeled. It looks great! There's still no pool or second story but it's been well loved and taken care of. Pictures do NOT do this place justice! I am very particular when staying away from home and this little gem is amazing! I will definitely stay here again!

Pulling in was not exactly what I was expecting but we were so pleasantly surprised!! The room was adorable and spotless and the perfect space. We were able to walk to everything and had private beach access which came in handy watching the sun come up. Viktoria texted me when our room was ready for early check in and checked in later that afternoon to make sure everything was going well. I can't wait to stay here again!

The owner, Viktoria, is the bomb! She is so nice and helpful! I booked the hotel besides hers(will definitely book with her in the future)! I was walking by trying to find a coffee place and she asked me if I needed help so I told her what I was doing and she offered me coffee! It was seriously the BEST coffee I have ever had! My son really loved his hot chocolate as well. Upon leaving I told her that we would for sure book with her in the future and then she gave us a tour of one of her rooms and her business card. She gave me some restaurant ideas and gave her honest opinion on them and told me to call her at anytime if I had any questions! I will most definitely be seeing her every morning for my cup of coffee!

Newly remodeled quiet getaway spot right on the ocean in Flagler. Great rates! Just blocks away from restaurants and nightlife. Minutes away from Daytona and St Augustine down A1A. Very hospitable family owned and operated business. You must try the coffee!

This is also the special place where my husband asked me to marry him in 2016. The owner, Heather, is so friendly and generous. She makes the best cheese plates in the afternoons for happy hour and the BEST omelettes for breakfast. By the way, breakfast and happy hour is included with your stay. Everything is made to order and the spreads are always incredible. One of the best perks about the Inn! It's romantic and relaxing all rolled into one vacation. The customer service from each lady at the Inn is outstanding. They truly care about your vacation and constantly check in to make sure you're more than happy with your stay. Heather even made hot tea for my husband one day and brought it out to him by the pool. So kind. Our air conditioner had an issue one night and we were promptly given a key to another room where we could sleep for the night. Heather had maintenance out the next morning and the issue was taken care of quickly. We have stayed in the Flamingo room and the Serenity room all times we've been here. These are the only two rooms located in the spa building and the heated mineral pool is right outside their doors. We love The White Orchid Inn and Spa and already look forward to the day when we return. The ladies really made our trip special this time around and we are grateful for that. Thank you Heather and team!

Dogs, and cats, are welcome at the Beach Front Motel! In fact, all the shores of Flagler Beach,…read morenorth of Gamble Rogers State Park, are very pup-friendly. And most of the restaurants we found had outdoor seating for dining with our four-legged friend. For our anniversary this year, hubs & I wanted a leisurely beach weekend on Florida's east coast with Gilligan (our 6 year-old chiweenie). And since driving down A1A a couple of years ago, Flagler Beach has been on my radar as a cute beach town with an old-Florida vibe. Our stay at Beach Front Motel perfectly fit that image, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. I'd reserved a few days in advance; rental rates were great for the first weekend of December 2023, and the pet fee for one dog was incredibly reasonable at $30 for our entire stay. Driving across the state from Tampa on a Friday afternoon, I'd noted on my reservation that we were not sure of our arrival time. Day of, I received contactless check-in details via text. Super easy! As we entered our room, I found our invoice/receipt inside awaiting my signature, with a note to drop it off at the office in the morning. Room #8 wasn't huge, but was a good size with a good layout, and I loved the bright artsy decor & antique-esque furniture. I also liked being on the ground floor with Gilligan, with #CRVyLuna parked directly across the narrow patio for quick & easy unloading and packing up again on Sunday. Two Adirondack--style resin chairs sat right outside our door, with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean, and several tables were a few steps away. Inside, we had a mini fridge, coffee maker & microwave, plus the TV had Spectrum cable so I didn't have to *learn* a new remote for two days since it was exactly the same as my remote at home (don't ask how many times I pressed the "List" button trying to access my DVR). We also found dog treats & a beach towel bundled on the ottoman, along with an extra blanket. The window-style A/C was super loud but it was less bothersome at night after setting the thermostat a little lower so it would stay on longer (for constant white noise). And then that extra blanket came in handy! Our queen-size bed was comfy but we didn't have enough pillows. So when I dropped off my signed invoice/receipt the next morning, I asked for more pillows, and two were brought to our room within a few minutes. The bathroom had plenty of towels, but my favorite thing ever was the bag of rags! Our zip bag had two or three well-used washcloths with a note stating that they were indeed clean in spite of the stains, and ideal for things like make-up removal or extra dirty dog feet. What a great way to re-purpose! Hubs made coffee in our room the first morning & I thought it was fine. That said, the next morning, he went to the office for a Keurig coffee & the variety of flavored creamers offered. I passed on coffee that day; hubs said the coffee he made in-room was better but he loved the creamer choices in the office. Please note that almost all lodging on this stretch of Flagler Beach is on the other side of A1A, from just north of Gamble Rogers State Park to where A1A cuts west a bit south of Palm Coast. So "beach front" means unobstructed views & ample beach access, though you do need to cross A1A on foot to put your toes in the sand & into the Atlantic Ocean. But the beach is narrow (not a lot of sand), and nearly non-existent during high tides, so the walk from our room was still shorter than at many of my local beaches in Pinellas County. Also, A1A is just a two-lane road here, and not very busy, so crossing is easy. In fact, cars stopped for us on several crossings, which we appreciated! I'll add that we found plentiful parking (parallel-style) on the ocean (east) side of the road all along A1A in this area, with many many pedestrian access points to the sand. All of the staff we encountered at Beach Front Motel were friendly & helpful. I'll add that the building is older, but that only adds to the charm in my opinion. I definitely want to return to Flagler Beach, and stay here again!

This isn't the Ritz Carlton, but I give it five stars because it is a definite must stay in Flagler Beach if you want a room with a view, living room, kitchen, and a separate bedroom. Each room has a different theme: fishing, flamingos, boating, etc. The cottages have porches on the front and even a side door through the kitchen! We love to park right outside the kitchen and it's easy to load and unload our vehicle. They are pet-friendly and when we arrive there are doggie bones on the pillows, so if you have pet allergies... ask in advance for a non-pet option, although I have allergies and the room is kept so clean my allergies really didn't bother me. They have a pool, which is always sparkly clean, but we usually visit in November so it's too cold to take a dip! The walk across A1A to their lookout deck is easy and gives a perfect view of the sunrise in the mornings. Just a few feed south of the deck is a walkway to the beautiful sandy beaches.

Barry and Patricia were really nice, welcoming hosts to this old little motel. My husband and our…read moretwo friends were booked in units 10 and 9. While we enjoyed our stay with the dogs -- they are so dog friendly, and even offer sheets to cover the futon in the living room and on the bed -- I don't believe I would stay here without the dogs. Hurricane Matthew really did a thing to the Whale Watch Motel in August 2016, ripping off a roof of one of their cottages as well as the facing of a couple of their buildings. This is unfortunate, and still under repair, but really doesn't account for the insides of the cottages that could use a bit of attention. Simple things need fixing -- no drain plug in bathroom sink, super cheap and broken soap bars (thankfully we brought our own), extremely rusty appliances (I get that the Florida salt damages items easily -- I live here too!), broken handle on the refrigerator, rusty metal shelves in the bathroom and kitchen, missing paint on the walls here and there...it's the little things that could be fixed or replaced while the big items outside (roofs) get some attention. Maybe even some nice landscaping in front of the units could be an easy project that would provide some curb appeal. We LOVE the location of this motel right across from a quiet part of Flagler Beach, but be careful crossing the street. The speed limit is 45, but cars were regularly going 60 and some were passing and weaving in and out. Just be extra careful. Units 9 and 10 face out toward the water, but the bummer is that people kept parking right in front of our building. Unit 9 had a better view than unit 10 for sure, but it was a shame that people would not park in front of their own units. There was no reason for them to park where they did, and block our view. We will stay here again with our dogs because Barry and Patricia are animal lovers and really make it easy on dog families, and with Flagler being a dog-friendly beach, it really is a great location. If traveling just as couples, I'm afraid I need something with a few extra bits of attention. They still get a 4 for their kind nature, clean toilets (!), and location.
