Living in St. Augustine for 3 months, we found ourselves needing a pharmacy. After a couple of unfavourable encounters with Walgreens, we found this great local pharmacy. He is never too busy to talk to me in person or by phone. He remembers my medical history so I don't have to answer a bunch of questions to place or pick an order. I really wanted to support a local independant pharmacy. Unfortunately the illegitimate practices of this pharmacy make that impossible. The refusal to fill legal prescribed medications solely based on physician office location is unconscionable. If a prescription is submitted to a pharmacy via the legal required electronic portal, how can the physicians florida office location be the basis for declining the prescription? The failure to serve customers on this basis should be prohibited before additional restrictions are imposed. i urge you to not support the discriminatory, dangerous and self serving policies of this pharmacy. read more

So fast! They filled my prescription while I was waiting and I picked up a bunch of other stuff that I needed. They don't have everything in the world, but they have most of what you would want from a traditional pharmacy. For example, they don't sell 15 different flavors of M&M's...this is a medical establishment. The staff were super friendly. It was just a pleasure to come here and I would certainly rely on them in the future over a big box pharmacy. I really appreciate a local business who does things right! read more

Ok. Mixed reviews. I have used these people before. Great service. But one big thing. I was told that a medication I had that was prescribed by my primary care was a double. My PCP gave me this so I could sleep. They denied me. They act too much as doctors and not as there primary function. Would probably go else where for meds. We have been using Island since moving to Saint Augustine several years ago. The staff are all wonderful and the owner, Ryan, has been a huge help on several occasions. Island has become our family pharmacy, taking care of my Husband, my Son and me. We not only fill our prescriptions here but, we support them by making our other purchases like OTC meds, baby needs and other small items. I would much rather support a locally owned business and help a small business owner support his family than give to the major retailers such as Walmart. Island pharmacy is by far the most affordable for self pays. What I love is not only the great staff, fast 10 minute wait, but they also deliver to your door. For me that is unheard of. For years I went to CVS . Finally I got tired of being treated as if they were doing me a favor and at my doctors recommendation gave Island pharmacy a try. Best decision ever! I have a chronic condition so I regularly fill many medications. All of the staff is superb, cares about you & their service too you.
