I'm here at Kazuko hibachi express I'm doing a review of them and see how they did

The food was great. The service is fast. The people around there were also very energetic too. It was a great place to come partake in there. I would definitely recommend this

Menu posted on the side of the truck. This was taken on 3/21/2021.

Just had lunch there even though Yelp said It's closed today (Sunday). They are in a red truck at the Gas Stop gas station on Broadway, next to Denny's. They said this was their new permanent location, 7-days/week. I am watching my carbs so I was happy to see that they have a "healthy option" where you get double vegetables instead of rice. It's a 50-cent up charge but worth it. Wife and I tried the steak and shrimp and my son and his gf got the chicken. We all enjoyed our meal. It didn't take long, either. Parking at the gas station isn't well defined. We parked behind the building in the parking area for the shopping center and walked between the food truck and Denny's.

This was the first time I've seen the Kazoku Hibachi Express truck downtown during lunchtime and being a food truck and hibachi fan I had to give them a try. My first experience was my hibachi "go-to," the Chicken & Shrimp combo. I really enjoyed it. The veggies, especially the carrots and zucchini, were great! The chicken and shrimp were both flavorful and cooked just right. The accompanying shrimp sauce was good and though I bought extra I did not need it as the standard 'issue' four ounces was plenty The only downside to me was the combo made this lunch a high prices option. A single entree provides a price more in line with downtown Knoxville lunch prices. The food was good though. The owners/operators were nice and provide very good service so I do recommend Kazoku and will enjoy their food again when I have the chance.

I even tried eating it with a fork which led to picking out all the inners. Overpriced for just rice, beans, and a protein. I had ordered the pork and it was good but needed to be roasted/braised more. I took one bite and all the pork pulled out of the burrito. A bit disappointed and awkwardly realizing that everyone else eating a burrito was possibly doing the same. It probably would have been a better fit if there was a burrito bowl option. I do have to say that the salsa had a nice little heat to it.

I was rooting for these guys so hard, given all the local and organic ingredients they use. I got a Super (supreme), which was supposed to have the addition of avocado, sour cream and cheese. The sour cream and cheese were forgotten from the burrito entirely (I even asked for extra sour cream as I was excited to try it - they boasted that it was homemade with Cruze farm dairy). 6 other people in our group also had the sour cream and cheese forgotten from their Super after the price hike. The avocado was a simple smearing on the tortilla. For my protein, I got the chile chicken, which lacked much flavor or heat. I couldn't really see any discernible seasonings in the meat, aside from a few chile slices. My burrito was 80% refried beans, and had only a small spoonful of the chicken pushed to only one end of the burrito. Every bite was tortilla and beans, so I just opened to tortilla and ate the insides, ha! Walked away feeling hungry and jipped. :(

He even came into the garage to double check on preparation for us. He gave us service that was exceptional. The food was delicious and we need to find CM again stat! Loved the location and the ambiance of the Garage as well. The one downside is that the "location" calendar was a little hard to use since I wasn't familiar with some of the places listed on it and didn't know where those places were since there weren't address on many of the listings. I was fully expecting a mouth-watering combo of sweet, salty and savory. I did not taste any of the blackberry jam even though I could see it was on there. Smoke was the sandwich's primary flavor profile. A bit much for me. I think my biggest issue was the globs of fat that made their way into my mouth. It was a big turn off and I did not finish the 2nd half of my sandwich. My friend got the Ricky Ricardo (which would have been my 2nd choice). She could not bite through the tough meat. I do recommend you give this place a try though. I will definitely revisit and try a different sammy.

The sandwich was pretty good. I prefer a more classic tale with pork and ham versus deli ham and bacon but it was not bad at all. The shop and eating area is really cute. I like that the sandwiches are prepared when you order so you can customize anything if you want to. The cinnamon roll was hugely disappointing. The bottom portion was totally raw dough but the top that was fully cooked was way too dry. I love grilled cheese sandwiches and I liked that they sold cheese curds so I'd probably give this place another try. Service was also friendly, which is a plus.
