I don't recommend ordering from this place online because they do not have good customer service. I ordered a large order of oxtail coming to $33 for them to not include a side of cabbage and also give me a small portion of oxtail. I don't appreciate them for sending my food to me in this manner. If they were out of steamed cabbage someone should have notified me especially with the price being so high. Every time I order for delivery they cut corners! If you must order from this establishment, I recommend the jerk salmon and the jerk chicken. read more

Food was good. I enjoyed the meal that I had especially the patty which I forgot to take a picture of before I ate it all. J ordered the curry chicken, rice and peas with cabbage. Also a side order of Mac and cheese. The curry chicken meal was good. Chicken consisted of thigh and breast meat. The Mac and cheese was just ok. Probably wouldn't order that again. I ordered for delivery and it took longer than predicted. I called the restaurant and asked the hold up. They said they were making fresh patties because they were all out. I was ok with that because usually restaurants would just call and say "we don't have that item". Thanks again for that. read more

So Ive heard the stereo types oh when you go to a jamaican/ carribean establishment they will not be nice or give good customer service unless your carribean I always thought that was nonsense so I never paid attention to that, but today showed me that its true & its honestly so sad that people who own and run a buisness let this happen. I go today because i wanted food from this establishmemt and first thing my mom taught me was manners in any room or place you walk in so i said hi to the lady serving food behind the counter, she ignores me granted she looks annoyed and like she should be anywhere but there everyone is allowed a bad day so whatever, now there is a gentleman at the cashier with a bonnet at a food establishment but i guess everyone has their own rules, attending to an older lady, he laughs treats the elderly woman nicely as he should, since the woman behind the counter ignored me he comes over he does say hi & i tell him i wanted the oxtail meal he says there is nomore and just walks away, I am thinking hes going to see if there will be another batch of oxtails because he does go to the back, but no he left never said anything and never came back. Ive worked in so many restaurants from carribean, to hispanic, to french from fine dining to casual dining & no matter how long the day has been, no matter how many customers i have served you know what i have never done ? Acted and made someone feel like their money or support to the buisness i work for doesnt matter because of the way they look, WE LIVE IN NEW YORK THE BIGGEST CITY WITH THE MOST DIVERSITY & INCLUSIVITY of people as a whole. I was walking to the train in disbalief & so sad that people could be so rude and so bad with customers, mind you the elderly lady was carribean because she had her accent & she was a darker tone, me i have red hair and i am bright as a light, but again its just so sad that the stereotypes were real, because i didnt grow up to pick and choose how to treat someone based off how they look but you treat everyone in the same manner and respect everyone unless they disrespect you. I didnt act rude or disrespect anyone so honestly I know it was of how I looked. But if the shoe was on the other foot we know how that wouldve went. Either way it is now clear to me only order online because only in that matter they cannot mis judge you or treat you poorly off what they see. And although they might have thought i am asian i am hispanic loud and proud but all the best to your buisness and the people you only desire to serve. So terrible service but decent food, but even after this i rather eat rocks. Thank you for a terrible experience. Guaranteed i was not expecting to get any special treatment at alllllll!!!!! Lets be clear, i come from humble beginings and dont want nothing from no one. But at an establishment where customer service is a priority, at an establishment where the customers money is what keeps the place alive, why would it be okay for these workers to behave in such a way? At times its not the food that gives a bad name but the service. TLDR - I am not sure what Island this restaurant claims to represent, but the food here is NOT great at all. Based on their social media, they seem to identify themselves as Jamaican, but I would beg to differ. I have ordered here once and that will be it because the food was bland...seriously flavorless and unlike any West Indian cuisine I have ever tasted. This coupled w the ridiculous fees ordering through delivery makes it an easy pass. I should have paid closer attention to the google reviews. I ordered the oxtail, peas and rice and cabbage. While I appreciated the inclusion of butter beans, i could not find much in the way of gravy. The oxtails didn't seem like they were browned properly and seemed boiled/pressure cooked in tap water. Just not cooked with any real seasoning. (where is the scotch bonnet, cream of coconut in the rice, etc. any ingredients from the Islands!?)Some of the oxtail pieces were tender enough, but I didn't finish it because it wasn't tasty. Rice and cabbage were also lackluster. In fact, I threw it out. I was looking for a new spot for West Indian food and was glad this place sounded like they made things homemade, but to be honest, although a chain, Golden Krust is better. I can't attest to any other main protein dishes, because honestly if you don't do the oxtail right, i don't care about the chicken, whether it's jerk or stew. My advice, don't offer things on your menu that you don't make well. The mac and cheese seems to have a velveeta type of base, because I did not taste any real grated cheese. I think that the patties are also made in house? The beef has a flaky pastry crust, but the chicken didn't. The beef was better. 3 stars is because i didn't find anything foreign in my food and it came well packaged. Would not recommend until they do a revamp on seasonings for their dishes. read more

I rarely leave reviews, positive or negative, but when I glanced at this page after eating from here I felt like I needed to help out the ratings with my experience. The reviews and ratings on Seamless are a better refelction of how goof this place is. I ordered delivery via Seamless. The order came quickly and it was carefully packaged. Inside there was a note explaining that the juice I ordered wasn't available and they tried to call me, but my phone was off. They substituted a delicious alternative. I really appreciated the note and their attempt to call. The jerk chicken is so juicy and has the perfect amount of spice for me. The beef patties are addictive. I don't think I've ever had them like this. Maybe they're homemade? The crust is delicious and flaky and the filling is perfectly seasoned. I think I've spent my life being sold mass-produced frozen patties that have been microwaved. Even the white rice was delicious. I'll be ordering again, and again, and again. read more

I didn't want to give 1 star , I have been coming here since may. I'm always polite yet the staff is not. The same rude chick that refused to give her name is a nasty coward. Please try n go anonymously and see how rude she is. This has happened several times like she's always upset, face screwed up. And I let it pass but not anymore. The prices are too high for that. I came to purchase Rasta pasta (which is great). As the menu above states; I wanted a large plain order and then I'm looking at the menu to see what else I may want. She walks over grabs a medium container cus she always "assumes " she knows what ppl are getting. (RUDE) I order n she says with an attitude " chicken or Shrimp" 3times in a row like I'm the one bothering her. I told her not to speak to me that way. She played unaware when she knows she was disrespectful but no one calls her on it. Then still speaking rude back n forth instead of apologizing and taking my order she storms to the back and never comes back. I told her how how nasty she always is and she acts like we are wasting her time, mind you I was the only customer there. So she could have waited for me to finish if (this was the case )perusing the menu or came back when I was ready but she's not intelligent or professional enough to do a.
