Theres a significant difference between the white table cloth Peking duck type of establishments and the fast casual over the counter always open during any day/ holiday/ weather. The staff isn't rude like a majority of the Chinese spots in NY. The food is clean. And flavors are great. I always grab their special where you can choose a platter with 2 proteins. Depending on my mood ill grab general tso chicken with crab sticks on pork fried rice. They would slip in an egg roll and drink. What more can you ask for.. craving satisfied. We ordered the standard stuff for a large group including wanton soup, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, Krab Rangoon's, steamed dumplings, boneless spare ribs, Lo Mein and pork with string beans. Krab rangoons were not as crispy as hoped but could have steamed in the container during delivery. Pork in with the string beans was okay but some pieces were fatty and chewy. I basically live in Florida but I have to come to New York for do some business and I miss a Chinese food. I ordered food form King Wah ( I had it before last year) and I very impressed for the food that I ordered. it's big and a lot more than 2 people can eat, worth for the money and it's delicious than Chinese food in Florida but one thing I feel sorry is I don't give delivery guy enough tip but I promise I will give him double for next time. Best Chinese food in the area for sure. Food is never too greasy and their sauces are never too gooey and starchy like, oh say, everywhere else. Their Pork Fried rice actually has a decent flavor, their vegetables are consistently fresh, their meat is never chewy or gristly and the delivery is fairly prompt. Expect to pay a buck or two more for your food, but definitely worth it. The single worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. I ordered 4 meals, the boneless ribs were so bad I felt awful even giving them to my dogs, the General Tso's chicken had very little meat, and was so sugary that it was nearly inedible. The chicken and string beans meal was just gross. I went to this place because of the good reviews, even went out of my way to get cash because they don't take debit or credit cards. What a mistake.. Its good for a quick dinner. Food isn't bad at all for takeout. My main beef is with the schmuck of a delivery guy they employ. I've tipped him well every single time we've ordered (I used to deliver thai food in Bushwick!) including this time. In fact, I gave him an extra 20 by mistake. I really wanted this place to be good. I pass by it every day and now I decided to order from it finally. A slow Sunday afternoon calls for great Chinese food. I cheated on my regular take-out spot.. but I shouldn't have. Delivery (by car?!?!) took 1 hour and 10 minutes. I live 5 blocks away :) As I got back inside and opened the bag, I was disappointed to find that poor tray arrangement had led into the bottom tray (which was one of the "chef's specials) had been punctured and all the sauce had leaked out, over everything else. IT WAS A MESS! One good thing that should be noted here is that portions are very large; however that is downplayed by the taste which does not offer anything exciting and actually does leave questions to be asked... the worse fried rice I've tasted :( . .. Even the simplest dish - veggies & noodles was very questionable.. the noodles were old and very saggy and the smell was a bit repulsive. The veggies had evidence attempt to steam, but a failed one none the less.
