Ordered delivery 2 times now & food quality wise is really good compared to other Chinese takeout spots in my area. Their orange chicken, general tso, egg drop soup, and chicken broccoli are solid choices. Now, here's where I get frustrated though. My partner and I have called for delivery for a few times. The first time they said oh minimum $30..then when I called again they told me minimum $25 to deliver. Same jazz that happened the 2nd time I called another time they said $30 and I'm like the last time you said it was $25 and so they took the order. It's this constant frustration and battle. I don't mind if you hold true to your delivery minimum but this little dance that we gotta go through it's not fun. My last straw was yesterday the lady straight up saying it's $30 minimum new policy when I told her 2 weeks ago it was $25..and I can tell she's just not telling the truth. Best bootleg Chinese food in the area. Run by mom and pop owners they are always busy. Many people come in for take out orders either drive or walk there. They do not have their own delivery people so if you want delivery you have to use one of the apps like grub hub to get their stuff. So, after looking at the menu and reading some reviews, I decided to go with the Jalapeño chicken and crab Rangoon. I ordered the chicken extra spicy. When it came it was sweet. I saw some jalapeños in it, but it wasn't even medium spicy. That being said, it was good. It's not saucy, so if you are craving sauce, be sure to order something else. Crab Rangoon was good. Duck sauce it came with was really nice. I will be ordering from here again and try something else. read more

This is one of several American Chinese restaurants in Woodside. The inside was small and there were two Hispanic customers waiting for their meals. I remembered this place also does oriental Japanese cuisine. There were two people working there. The only thing that was Japanese after the rebranding was the noodles. When I was about to order, a customer came in for his order. I ordered french fries, onion rings, Crab Rangoon, fried wonton, and pan-fried pork dumplings. Everything was served in takeout plastic boxes, instead of in paper. The quality is similiar to other American Chinese restaurants around. read more

For a Chinese fast food restaurant, the food was good. I told L to pick up some stuff after work. We haven't been to Woodside in ages so eh, might as well try one of their most popular dishes from this place. Ordered the jalapeño chicken in medium spicy. Wasn't spicy, jalapeños had heat if you wanted the extra spice. Might order it spicy next time, the carrots were very sweet.. peppers and celery were crispy but the best part were the mushrooms, they're even better than the chicken. Big, meaty, tender chunks.. A small family owned restaurant that has been open locally for what I want to say is about 20 years from what my mother has told me having lived in NY for over 30 years. Their food is always fresh and high quality. Along with that the staff is amazing. Always able to offer insight into recommended foods, you also get sizeable portions for such a good price. I am here at least once a week, sometimes even more lol. The owners are extremely nice especially the lady who is always so sweet and welcoming. This kind of service is quite rare at most Asian restaurants haha. Anyway, there's usually some nice deals where you get a free soda/drink when you order an entree. Make sure to ask for sauces any sauces you want and how many. My favorite dish here is definitely the Chicken with jalapeño peppers. It is sooooo good! I usually get an extra side of white rice since the white rice that comes with the small entree (which is still a good size) is not enough. Speaking of the small entree sizes, it is definitely big enough to share. My favorite appetizers here are the crab Rangoons. They fill it up ENTIRELY with cream cheese unlike most wontons where there's barely anything in there. The ribs here are pretty good too. And the dumplings! Honestly, I love coming here because mostly of their service and their specialties mentioned above. Unfortunately, they no longer have sushi (apparently, they couldn't find a sushi chef/helper) or cheesecake. Pacific Moon is a small Chinese/Japanese take out place with four tables. The staff is friendly and the General Tso's chicken was delicious and crispy. It's a good, cheap place for lunch if you are in the area. It's one of the best Chinese takeout restaurants I've been to. Credit card is accepted. read more

Delivery man is always super friendly and they always have my order correct, fast and hot. We've ordered the following: Hot and sour soup- great with big pieces of pork. Jalapeno chicken- my favorite dish. It's like general tso chicken but crunchier with hot oil and jalapeno slices. I get there and there's drivers and customers waiting while the two cooks are inside SCRAMBLING. Lady tells me "few more minutes". Fave Chinese take out spot. The general tsos and lo mein are delicious! Every time I order I get my food piping hot

I live in Sunnyside and despite the ludicrous variety we have for delivery and takeout, the thing we're really missing is high quality Americanized Chinese food. What I want to be able to do, in life, is place a phone call and have chunks of deep fried chicken thigh in one of many sweet and tangy sauces magically arrive at my door step in like 25 minutes, maybe with some noodles and dumplings as well. Pacific Moon effectively steps into that gap. However, Pacific Moon has an extra wrinkle that makes it really cool-- every entree I looked at has an extra spicy option. The menu also has a bunch of Thai offerings (which I haven't tried), so it seems like it's maybe an artifact of the sliding spiciness scale that Thai menus often offer. However it came about, this, to me, gives Pacific Moon a cool gimmick: you're used to sesame chicken, what about really spicy sesame chicken, or really spicy general tso's chicken, or really spicy beef with broccoli. It might as well be a brand new genre of Americanized Cantonese food and I'm super here for it. Good dumplings too! I guess you can't order them extra spicy but that's fine. read more

Ugh I just wanna support this place... I am currently CRAVING pacific moon and am waiting until 11 so that I can order from them ASAP. There's something about this place that is really hard to find at other Chinese takeout places. The veggies are fresh! The seasoning is on point! It basically feels like homemade Chinese takeout food that you know someone was in the kitchen and sautéed those veggies and fried those noodles. It just tastes so much better than most of the takeout out there in this world. Not only do they have an extensive menu of Chinese take out and Japanese food, including sushi, but they also know how to make all of it extremely delicious. I didn't want to give them a negative review just yet because their food has potential so I'm willing to give them another chance down the line. I ordered their chicken wings, chicken fried rice, red chicken, and their highly recommended items, chicken lo mein and jalapeño chicken. Let's just start by saying all the food is edible lol. With that said, the food is completely flavorless. The chicken wings tasted bland. The chicken fried rice tasted bland. I literally reheated the rice and added my own seasoning to it. The red chicken was just bland boneless fried chicken balls with crushed pepper. A dipping sauce would have gone good with this (just a personal recommendation). The chicken lo mein was quite tasty but it's not chicken lo mein if you throw just 4 strips of chicken into noodle lol. I decided to give the jalapeño chicken its own little section. In all honesty, it's such a unique dish filled with such amazing flavor. I never tasted anything like this so I give them a 10/10 for originality and taste. This was the only reason why I will give them another shot and hopefully change my initial rating of them. If you're in the area, just try the jalapeño chicken. You won't regret it! read more
