I was going to put the suitcase next to the SA truck that was present but didn't even have a chance before that nasty guy continued to talk down to me. I usually drop off donations about once a month on a Saturday when the older gentleman who drives the truck is there, he's always very polite. But this incident was unacceptable.. I'm going to reconsider donating to the salvation Army if these are the kind of employees they hire.

The delivery guys even offered to take my old couch away, but I said no because I already had a donation pickup scheduled and wanted it to go to a good cause. Then literally 1 hour before my pickup window I get a text saying they don't have any drivers and can't come. Now they're telling me they can't reschedule for a few more weeks. So now I'm stuck with two couches crammed into my small apartment and I'm scrambling trying to find someone to take the old one because I have no room for it. I get that things happen, but don't confirm a pickup if you can't actually do it. Canceling an hour before is ridiculous and completely screwed up my plans.

While some things were reasonably priced, other items were laughably priced. For example, an average quality small living room arm chair with slightly faded and slightly dirty fabric was $167.00. You can buy a similar arm chair in Bob's brand new and fresh smelling for $199.00 All in all, if you're in the area it's worth visiting since donations come in every week and you never know what you might find.

The need is immense in todays trying and expensive times. In addition to that they are helping to avoid clothing going into landfills. After volunteering here I will kindly recommend that you wash all clothing before donating. Volunteers will sort through to make sure only clothing with no rips/stains move on to be donated. All other clothing gets sent to a facility to be used in textile recycling or thrift store use which the organization receives money for so they can purchase much needed clothing items.

From the moment I asked a simple question, they responded with attitude, seemed annoyed and acted like helping customers was a burden. Customer service makes a huge difference, especially in a place that depends on the community. A little kindness and basic respect would go a long way. Instead, I was left feeling uncomfortable and honestly didn't even want to continue shopping. I hope management addresses this because no customer should feel disrespected for simply trying to shop.
