love the lower level where you can find real fur and leather jackets and designer clothes for actual bargains and little known brands as well!!! VERY reasonable prices and most things are a steal when compared to other stores...my only gripe about this store is this annoying Chinese woman who owns a silver and stainless steal store on the main level at the end of the store...she is rude, obnoxious, pushy and loud...I think she should be on psych meds she is too weird, greedy and annoying.. I was there this past weekend and she tried to raise the price of a labelled SS chain by 5$ as the label said 20$...saying the price went up....will NEVER patronize her store again and she should be put out of business...I told my friend I was with to never buy from her again... made me feel to slap her silly.... read more

I loved coming here until today. I wanted to buy a DVD that did not have a sticker. For reference, I was purchasing Seasons 1-3 and season 4 of the TV Show Absolutely Fabulous. I wanted to also purchase season 5 since it was together but it was missing a sticker. I asked the girl at the register for help and she grabbed the DVD from me and very nastily said "no" I asked again because what?! Very nasty she goes "no you can buy it tomorrow" im so confused so I ask for a manager. First she tells me her manager is on lunch. I was here at 1030am. They open at 10am. Come on. I ask again. Now she tells me that the manager was downstairs. Which is it? Why is this woman lying?? I ask her to call for a manger. I'm waiting. I see someone on the other side of the store. I ask if I can have the DVD to go to explain to the other one and she rudely covers th DVD and says "no!!" After waiting another 10 minutes an older gentleman came over. He said he was the manager but I don't believe he was. He was also rude. He literally said to me "you got this on the shelf here?" As if I brought it in and asked to pay for it? Of course I found it on the shelf!!! I showed him the other ones I paid for and he wouldn't let me buy it. A lot of change here with prices that have gone way up after the pandemic. Also no more half off days. Also for some odd reason they don't let you take a pic of an item. I was near their " deluxe " item area and took a pic to show to my friend and text her but apparently you cant do that anymore ? Strange rules as I was told to not take a pic. I have been a patron for years since they originally opened. It was the place to find all Kinds of treasures and great prices. Since Covid it's looking more like a real store than a thrift store the prices have tripled on items especially clothing. Don't even try to buy a nice purse. On any given day they're charging 80 dollars or more for designer purses that you can find cheaper on sale Macys. Same with some of the clothing. I'm think they forgot that we can get the same items for LESS in discount stores and on sale and clearance I miss the days when I could purchase a pair of boots for 10 dollars not twenty or a belt for 3 not ten etc etc. REMEMBER we're all just trying to get by and your a THRIFT store. read more

I've visited the other My Unique in Westbury and have scored great clothing items with the original sale tags still on them. Today I ventured here in search of a gently used bike for my 8 year old. I was informed this location sells great furniture. Not sure about the furniture but we definitely scored an awesome used bike for $7.99 on 50% off Sale. Living in New York presents financial challenges and another issue of lack of space and long winter months. Living in a small 1 bedroom apartment has been a struggle and I haven't been able to store a bicycle in our home. This summer I decided that if I could find a bike for a low price I would store it in my car's trunk. Today we visited and there were quite a few bikes, some very worn and others gently. We were fortunate to find the bike we went home with. Metallic purple, functional brake system, inflated tires and no major scratches or rust. Minus mileage issues buying a used bike is comparable to buying a used car. The original price was $14.99 with the 50% off Back To School Sale, we scored her new bike at $7.99 and $8 after tax ! Great thrift shop located in tri country Bazaar. Sometimes the place can be a bit grungy, but if you are willing to look around and dig a bit you can normally find some cool stuff. They carry all types of books, electronics, games, movies and household items. There's also an app you can use as well which sometimes has discounts. The prices can be a touch higher than other thrift shops sometimes and the pricing seems to have little reason. But with the app it makes most items worth it. They also have a bottom floor with all types of clothing if that's your thing. Looks well organized. read more

Haven't been here in 10+ years, went today. I love thrifting, second hand shops, antiques, etc. lots of cool, older and well made clothing mixed in with cheap fast fashion, damaged goods. I thought this place looked a bit janky at first but I was quite impressed by the amount of organization they did manage to do. There's a lot of junk on the first floor like books, gadgets, eyeglasses cases etc but downstairs the clothing is actually organized pretty well. Men, women, boys, girls ... by category (dresses, pants) and even sizes as well. They had a surprisingly decent jean selection. I found a lot of 7 for all Mankind, Hudson, and Joe's Jeans there for like $10 or less. They also have some fitting rooms. This place used to be great but it's no longer worth going to. Everything is overpriced, I've even seen multiple things priced higher then the original tag attached to it including belts being sold for $10 with and original tag or 4.99. I thought I would try shopping here one more time since I was in the area but after todays experience I will not do so again. MyUnique, Levittown, has been a place my family has visited since it was "Mays" department store decades ago. Today, I had such a horrible experience that I will NOT shop there again and will advise everyone I know the same. While I was helping my thrifter niece look for items, after going through a rack, I turned to walk away and something sharp slashed my elbow. Initially, I figured it just stung more than the actual injury until it began bleeding profusely. I searched for help and came across a very nice worker. I wish I knew her name to compliment her. She asked if I needed a band-aid and called for a manager, named, "Matthew". He was amazing! He gathered bandages, spray, gauze, etc. He sprayed the open wound and bandaged it. I didn't even have to ask for an incident report because he had one. He also advised that I go to urgent care because we could not stop the bleeding. He called for his boss, named, "Jim" to inform him about the incident. This guy acted as though he had no interest at all in what happened. I explained to him that the injury was due to their negligence and asked if there was some sort of claim number to use at urgent care. He told me to just bring the receipt and they would pay. I asked him to put that in writing because we were not familiar with one another. He said, "I'm not putting that in writing!" Puzzled, I asked if he would instead go on video stating that they will pay and he said, "I'm not getting on any video" or something close to that. He walked away and refused to address the matter any further. It was clear to me that the one who should be his boss is Matthew! Jim has no compassion, empathy or professionalism. He needs to be retrained! After that horror show, I went to CityMD to have the slash glued and they gave me a tetanus shot. What fun! The only reason I gave 2 stars was because of superstar Matthew and the nice lady who initially assisted me. I thank you two again! Jim, take lessons from them! No class! SMH! read more

Wish they would go back to the old sale system with 25% and 50% off days. They tag most items with a color that is likely not even on sale for the week, it's rare to find something you like with the color that is on sale. And the prices wow I have come here for years with my mom but it is barely even a bargain anymore with the insane prices for a thrift store! In bad taste in my opinion to take advantage of shoppers like that, especially those with low income. Pros - clothes organized by size and not by the ridiculous color organization that other thrift stores do which makes no sense at all - no smell - lots of parking - convenient location - large selection - large toy and home goods section Cons This place is overpriced in the men's and women's sections. I only saw a few deals that I thought made sense for a thrift store. Someone definitely made a decision to just price anything that's a mall store brand (Old Navy, Ann Taylor, Loft, Gap, Abercrombie, Forever 21) in the $20-25 range, which is crazy. White House Black Market was $35-50. These aren't new or current styles either, I definitely recognized some stuff that's 5-10 years old. If you're looking for clothes those prices then you might as well just wait for a good sale at the original store. If you're committed to helping the environment by wearing used clothes then I'd say that you can definitely find options at Unique, but they're expensive. The only pricing I saw that made sense was in the children's section and everything looked really cute and clean and organized. I also saw a few people who were clearly there for flipping purposes and they didn't seem to have any luck either. read more

They have EVERYTHING here. I want to say 98% of it is in fantastic condition. Very rarely do I pick something up that isnt "like new" quality. The store is very clean and dosnt have a stale smell like a number of other thrift stores seem to have. Not to mention, you cant beat their VIP sales read more

Horrible incident at the unique thrift store old country rd, westbury. Employee rang all my merchandise up I didn't, than total me out as I put my debit card into the machine to pay, she tells me to wait. I had a picture priced at 5.99 it was with all the other pictures in the back of the store to the right. As I was about to pay she takes the picture shows it to another worker. I was told her supervisor and the feeling I got is they thought that I (the customer) placed that price tag on the picture. Than security comes over we exchanged words. The money I make I don't need to steal from a thrift store I donate all the time to thrift stores. Moral of the story proper training is a must . If the tags on the merchandise doesn't look appropriate, tell the customer it's not for sale. Don't ring it up and than make an issue. I was told that is store policy by security to ring up the merchandise by store employees and than store the customer from paying. Better training unquie. So much better off at SAVERS or SALVATION ARMY their prices are ridiculous And the store always seems so empty with customers probably because the word is getting around they're just too expensive For used donations I once showed the manager the price from the store was less than their price on the bottom I said are you going to charge me that he said do you want it and I said not for the higher price and he just laid it on the side not pleasant at all. read more

My favorite thrift store in Long Island! Thrifting isn't supposed to be glamorous and it certainly is NOT here. The selection is huge. The prices are decent, just have to keep an eye out for the colored discounts, and the clothes are great. Have found some great finds here. I usually go at least once a month. I love this thrift store . Its very spacious and the staff is very friendly. I have been comming here for about a year now after finally giving up on the Jamaica Avenue location. And this one is by far the best one I have been to. They have a lot of good clothing and furniture selections. The furniture and housewares are on the first level. On the second level they have clothes and shoes. The staff is great, very helpful and very friendly. Today, I was helped by the manager with a question I had pertaining to my VIP t-shirt. He was very nice and patient . Now I get 25% off on Tuesdays too ! I will always come here ! Love it. read more

The employees are of no help when you need assistance & insist on checking every item I purchase before leaving the store using their own self check out. Well the store is quite messy. Things are sort of all over the place. There's no social distancing and there's way too many people in here constantly. They don't regulate the amount of people in the store by any means, it's very dangerous. The prices are also pretty high for a thrift store. This store has by far the worst employees I have ever seen! I went in to browse the store and found 3 items I wanted to purchase and proceeded to the cash register. Upon scanning the tags and asking the sales girl to remove the alarm I was told the item could not be sold because the tag apperaed to have been changed. WHAT???!!! I said are you kidding me I didn't do it and the item has a tag on that was fully in tact. i asked for a manger and she tild me one was not present and she was a supervisor. Then as I raised my voice in frustration a manger magically appeared and made the situation escalate. I was in the store for about 10 minutes and have never stolen or changed a tag in my life! To be accused of something I did not do was very embarrassing! I said look at the damn cameras and you what see I did nothing wrong ! The manger was DISGUSTING and did not help the situation at all in step was very disrespectful. For items that they got for free they due this. The store has a tremendous mark up on items!!! People go here for a deal and they mark things up like crazy and then when an item is reasonably priced you are accused of changing a tag?! Can get busy but both floors of total discount items is great. Sometimes its a hit or miss but you can find some secondhand treasures and new items alike. Everything is organized nicely into sections until some people mess it up. Can be expensive and cheap as you want it to be. First time I visited this MyUnique store. It was not bad but as others have said some clothes were way to expensive for a used shop. I did score 3 pair of pants, 3 tops and a nice ice bucket for $51 and that includes the tax. They were all designer clothes. You have to pick through a lot to find good prices. Cashiers were mostly all speaking Spanish among themselves and was not really paying customers any mind. But overall will try and visit this place again when they have their weekly specials. The place was pretty decent and did not have a bad smell. The try on rooms was least to be desired some were filled with clothes and should have been cleaned up by the staff. read more
