Her attitude was condescending and intolerant when I asked her to answer questions that I had. For a pediatrician's office, more care should be placed in making the office welcoming to children (age appropriate colors, toys, etc). Doctors should take time to introduce themselves to the children. It is a simple request to have doctors patiently and kindly answer parents' questions. I have never felt so unwelcome at a medical professional's office before. Answering simple questions is part of standard professional practice.

Never got a referral to a specialist for her issues or anything. I ended up switching doctors when she had a horrible smell coming from her face that I called them about. They took her in, looked at her eyes ears & in her nose. Failed to see the giant ball of cotton (that I seen from across the room but just assumed it was a booger). When I got her home I figured I should help her get that boogie out & had her blowing into a tissue for like 2 minutes before I took a flashlight and looked up there myself & that's when I noticed the cotton. I got it out myself & followed up with a ENT to ensure she was okay. I don't understand how they missed that. Never went back to them after that day!

Then after it was thrown onto the counter where I was also asked for a dose of pain medication and was ignored due to our grandchild's shot. one of the nurses walked up to the counter and said well it wasn't me but here's the paper with the info about her shots that were giving today they claimed she missed many appointments which I was told after her last visit she was good on shots her vaccines until she turned two. I was told by the nurse make an appointment close to her second year birth day. which I had. she also was due for her lead levels. They told me my baby needed six shots that day and I refused it due to the mistreatment we reviewed as well continue to relieve. I am now asking for a transfer to another pediatrician I am very comfortable with. The doctor intented and kept insisting my baby get all the shots that day I stated I knew that they're all important but felt that it was to much for her all in one time same day meaning. There was not one word spoken by anyone no I was not comfortable exspecially with it being people working with children I am asshammed I really am. Other than the Dermatologist I have, Erin is the only PA I have ever felt comfortable and confident with. As far as I'm concerned, they have me for a patient as long as they are In practice.

I think I would reserve emotion, good or bad, for people who would matter. When no other staff would come to her rescue from me. She did exactly what you'd expect and hung up on me. I have been trying to get a prescription for blood pressure meds refilled for almost two weeks so my mother in law doesn't stroke out. Pharmacy was nice enough to fill a 5 pill emergency prescription since she's been getting the same meds for 10 years, but this is totally incompetence on the part of Grand Island Family Practice. If you call them during business hours, you get the answering service 99% of the time. Calls are not returned or taken care of. To make an appointment, I had to walk in to the practice and get the receptionist to put down her cell phone to do it. The Drs/Nurses/PAs are competent, but you will get a different one every time because turnover is high. I have no idea who my current doctor is. Last year I could not get a doctor on the line during business hours, and my mother in law ended up in the ER and almost died because I could not get a prescription refilled in time. I thought it was a one-off thing, but apparently this has been going on for a couple years now, judging by the comments on the googlemaps listing for this location.
