I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about Marie (owner/teacher) and Holley her amazing teacher.. I've only taken approximately four classes (various types) and I cannot express how much this has helped me. They both were non judgemental (I was bald) and not only adhered VERY strictly to COVID guidelines but kept me isolated in my compromised state. This individualized attention raised my self esteem and the focus ony form...has resulted in a marked difference in my strength. I went from a dancer to a hard core runner and weight lifting junker... After loosing all strength....I'm back to the start! I cannot say enough positives about Marie and Holley.... Each instructor has a different teaching style and various exercises, but they all kick your butt in the best way! The lobby is small yet welcoming, and the instructors all take the time to personally learn your name. It makes working out much more fun and holds you accountable! The parking lot can get very packed depending on the time of day since it is in the same lot as multiple businesses, but other than that it's a great location.

I checked out the local options on Yelp and opted for Balance. And I LOVE THEM!!! #NewConvertHere!! I called for a same-day massage, and got an early evening appointment (another bonus -- services on St. Simons can shut down as early as 4 pm [#IMeanReally??]) for a 90-minute deep tissue with Megan, who. Is. Awesome. I mean, BEYOND. FYI: I prefer a super-deep tissue massage with very strong hands -- I have a muscular frame and it takes serious pressure to get my knots unwound. At first I was concerned that 90 minutes wouldn't be long enough to GET all of them OUT this go-round, but Megan delivered one of the best massages I have ever had (on three continents). And I had serious issues with tension in my lower back and hip flexors! She recommended a warm bath with Epsom Salt as follow up for my newly-knotless frame, which was a great idea, but I didn't. . . and I still felt awesome the next day!!! Balance isn't a white-robe-and-fluffy-slippers kind of Fifth Avenue Major Spa Moment, but the decor is clean, makes an effort and is perfectly fine.

The instructors were very welcoming,and gave me a tour of the studio. Class was a challenge (as usual)! My only critique would be my class instructor was newer (she told me so) and seemed to get a little flustered while instructing class and explaining the different movements. A different instructor might have been a better fit for me! Overall, awesome experience!
