They're dense, tasty, perfectly portioned, and ideal for a quick, satisfying boost. It also makes for a good study spot if you need a break. It always smells great and the added intricate ceiling tiles makes a huge difference when you're lying on your back trying to concentrate on keeping your core still! Rachael is incredibly personable, knowledgeable and fun. She is excellent with her cues in class and always identifying and accommodating each student, specifically those who may have an injury or are looking to strengthen their abilities in a certain area. I have taken and enjoyed quite a few Pilates reformer classes over the years but the spring wall and chair classes are quickly becoming my favorite. She has introduced a lot of new techniques and equipment that I wasn't aware even existed. It has been so fun to take the different classes and discover new movements. New routines are incorporated into each class so each one feels unique and never monotonous. I love that the schedule accommodates clients that have more flexible schedules as well as those who have set working hours. I checked out the local options on Yelp and opted for Balance. And I LOVE THEM!!! #NewConvertHere!! I called for a same-day massage, and got an early evening appointment (another bonus -- services on St. Simons can shut down as early as 4 pm [#IMeanReally??]) for a 90-minute deep tissue with Megan, who. Is. Awesome. I mean, BEYOND. FYI: I prefer a super-deep tissue massage with very strong hands -- I have a muscular frame and it takes serious pressure to get my knots unwound. At first I was concerned that 90 minutes wouldn't be long enough to GET all of them OUT this go-round, but Megan delivered one of the best massages I have ever had (on three continents). And I had serious issues with tension in my lower back and hip flexors! She recommended a warm bath with Epsom Salt as follow up for my newly-knotless frame, which was a great idea, but I didn't. . . and I still felt awesome the next day!!! Balance isn't a white-robe-and-fluffy-slippers kind of Fifth Avenue Major Spa Moment, but the decor is clean, makes an effort and is perfectly fine.

This is a very pretty park in downtown SSI. There are ball fields and a playground, and across the…read morestreet at Kings Park are tennis and pickleball courts, and a dog park. But if you're parking at Mallery, expect to just access the ball fields, restrooms and playground because the road between the parks is pretty busy (and there is a separate lot over there anyway). Parking at Mallery was ample on a weekday evening in March, even with softball practice in session. The playground has wood chips to keep things soft for kids. The slide/climbing structure is REALLY HIGH. I was really uncomfortable letting my toddler climb it. He was playing with older kids who were keeping an eye on him otherwise I'd not have allowed it. Parents of little ones, beware. Other apparatuses, like see-saw and swings were fine, but a small children area would be nice. I'm grateful they had bathrooms, which is a step up from nothing or port-a-potties. However, the bathrooms were DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY. Like a stench, trash all over the floor, and even a broken lollipop to stick to your shoes. Yuk! Overall the park is great, just make sure to use your bathroom at home before you visit!
