But I was really drawn to Bauer because their team was noticeably thoughtful as they evaluated my existing flooring, and the strategy they discussed in how best to tackle the project. It was clear that this was a company that took pride in every project they took on, and were not in the habit of cutting corners. It was also a very competitive bid compared to other well-known flooring companies. They did not disappoint. From a duration estimate, professionalism, availability / communication, and quality standpoint, we could not be more pleased. The leveling and floor preparation process alone was something to be behold. Previous to hiring them, I had idle thoughts of taking on our flooring as a DIY. But there's no way I could have done what they did in this leveling process. We had 3 different types of floors across this space, and before they even began the installation, the preparation / leveling could have almost stood as a completed "concrete" floor. I even joked with the installer that just in removing / leveling what we had previously, they had already improved the look and continuity of our flooring. In the end, we're extremely pleased with the vinyl flooring installed as well as the baseboards and the new aesthetic it all creates for our downstairs.
