In fact, I use the specifically to receive mail, packages, shipping and supplies. Then again, who would want customers like this? I recently had Island Shipping package and mail a pair of aftermarket taillights for a Porsche 911 that I recently sold to someone. On the day that I dropped it off, I was busy and didn't have time to ship it myself so I had them do it. Several days later, I received a text and message and photos from the recipient stating that they were damaged and demanded a refund for $425 (the amount paid). The recipient stated that he believes the damage was due to poor packaging as both taillights were wrapped together snug. 2 days after dropping off these taillights to island shipping, I sold a separate pair of factory 911 taillights to someone else but I personally packaged them myself. I wrapped each taillight individually with bubble wrap, reinforced the corners / edges with cardboard, and wrapped that with bubble wrap as well. They arrived to that recipient in the same condition that they left my home with no issue. After apologizing, I assured them that I would speak to the shipping place on the next business day. I came in first thing in the am and a woman named Mary was behind the counter. The moment I began to explain the situation, she immediately got defensive and became argumentative with me. She advised that everything needed to be sent to their email before they could submit a claim with UPS so I went out to my car and sent everything to them. After email communication back and forth they submitted the claim A week later they advised that UPS agreed that the box was damaged during shipping and they would be able to refund $159.11 which I said was unacceptable. I requested to see the claim report or the results and they said there was nothing to show. Today I was advised that they could refund $231 ($100 from UPS and $131 for shipping). At this point, I do not have the time or energy to go back and forth. If I package an item and it's damaged in transit, that's my fault and I will take accountability for that. That being said, If I pay a shipping company to package and ship a product, I would expect that they have the knowledge and experience to properly package it securely. As I mentioned before, I packaged an identical set of taillights to someone else 2 days later and they arrived in the same condition that they left my house because I took the time to ensure they were packaged properly. There has to be accountability somewhere. I paid $131 to have them package and ship 2 taillights when I only paid $70 to ship 2 taillights and 2 headlights that I packaged myself. I don't mind extra as it's more convenient and I prefer to support a small business over a large retailer. Unfortunately, I will never use this company again and this mistake costed me about $200 but the lesson learned is always add insurance, especially if you didn't package the item(s) yourself. Even if they package an item for you, they are not liable if it's damaged, even if it's due to insufficient packaging. read more

I've always had friendly and quick service. They offer different shipping options. Cute shop also.

With the exception of one time everyone who helps me and my family at this store are abhorrently rude. I am so sad that this is the only option that KI has at the moment for shipping services. I miss good customer service and this locally owned business sets the bar so low, I can't believe that I am on the only one who has such a regrettable experience here, every time. In addition to severe rude treatment of the customers who allow their business to stay open my specific complaint is about dropping off prepackaged items for return. The employees never want me to stay to ensure the label scans. I believe even the owner will try to insist that the package be left before scanning the label. Anyone who has ever had an issue with a mail order return, like I have, knows how ridiculous it is to leave before your package is scanned. Every time they try several times to have me to leave the package prior to scanning I always say kindly my past experience, I have had issues with labels not scanning and then I am still charged for the item. They still try to insist quite firmly that I leave the package and I simply say, I do not mind waiting my turn. Both of the woman who 'helped' me today were so unpleasant and even went as far to lie and tell me they scan the packages in the back (this is a lie, they scanned it right in the front store then) and the other lady proceed to tell me that I can go to a UPS store (I wish the UPS store on Ki was still open because I never had such horrible customer service there). Then she says- 'You do know that it only scans in our internal system and does not scan for the UPS or fed ex'. I say, no problem, as long as the label scans I am good. I am walking away out of the store now and she speaks to my back and says they may be too busy to scan the prepackaged item in the future. I don't turn and kindly say, 'I do not mind waiting my turn! Y'all have a good day'. I will be reaching out to the owner and letting her know about the poor customer service in hopes that she will be able to help her employees provide improved customer service. read more

This is a very nice operation and easy to ship from they accept federal express which I prefer over the others. The staff there is very accommodating and very helpful with packages etc. The parking is a pain in the neck generally in the entire shopping center I don't know why they don't have front end parking along the sidewalk, but they don't. I prefer to do my shipping here then at UPS and I prefer using federal express because I know whatever I send is going to get there. read more

They are not a "Get Shipping Label" for Fedex as advertised on the Fedex website and do not print shipping labels or give received receipts if you print your own and drop off at this location. They have no fedex supplies to "do it yourself" - basically it's a big drop box location, which is fine, but don't expect Fedex support there or to be given a receipt for dropping anything off. If you just have an object to ship and don't care how it's shipped then they are probably ok to use. If you need proof you shipped from there forget it and go across the bridge or to Easton to an actual Fedex location. They have a nice little gift shop and the people are friendly. read more

I keep asking these folks to do the impossible and they manage to achieve it every time. I stopped in to mail a package to my son in college in Florida and the internet was down so they couldn't send anything, but they held my package till they could. He'll have it in time for finals! Super response and service by Island Shipping & More and specifically, Gail, for a notarization!! After our text coordination, Gail came by car next day to my house at the scheduled time. In our texts, I had expressed concern regarding safe distancing and practices for COVID - 19. Gail and I coordinated safe separations such that my identification, along with the agreed upon fees were left on a table on one side of our front porch. Gail reviewed and recorded as needed and then watched me sign from my position on the other side of the porch. I then moved safely away from here whereupon Gail reviewed the signed document, affixed the notary seal and then departed leaving the notarized paperwork and my IDs on the porch tables. Gail took all necessary precautions e.g., wearing masks, gloves, disinfect pens etc. This was a really nice, processional experience! read more
