I bought two bags of pistachios and chili mango and they are the best I have ever tasted. Fresh. I will buy again.

I just ate some neon gummy bears and they are literally better than all the other brands I've tried! They taste like real fruit gummies!

Had a great time!…read more From the greeter at the door to the bartender, we had an awesome time. Didn't get any food - we were stuffed - but the food sounded inviting. Nice atmosphere for talking and enjoying drinks.

I'm new to Whittier and still getting a feel for the area, and wow... I'm so glad my friends put me…read moreon to The Vandalist. This place instantly became one of my favorites after just one visit. From the moment you walk in, the whole vibe hits you--the moody, neon-lit ambiance sets the tone perfectly. It feels elevated, a little edgy, and honestly just the kind of spot you want to spend your night at. The music is curated so well. Not too loud, not too mellow--just the right balance where you can vibe, have a conversation, and still feel the energy of the room. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. Every cocktail feels intentional and crafted with care. You can taste the quality immediately--nothing watered down, nothing basic. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new every round because you trust the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Service was on point too. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain drinks and made great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. I came in not knowing what to expect, and left already planning my next visit. If you're in Uptown Whittier and looking for a spot with great energy, amazing cocktails, and a full vibe--The Vandalist is it. Thank me later

I've tried their signature The Melrose, which consists of black forest ham, oven roasted turkey, bacon, melted White American cheese, topped with house slaw (lettuce, red onions, pepperoncini tossed in their "Melrose" spread) and tomato. I absolutely love this sandwich!! It's packed with so much flavor, and the bun absorbs all of the juicy goodness, making every bite incredibly satisfying. Runner-up for me is the Uncle Nikki. This one has Genoa salami, pepperoni, capicola, provolone cheese, also topped with their house slaw. I've only ordered from here through Postmates, and every time their packaging is excellent--they wrap each sandwich in this cute wrapper, which adds a fun touch and keeps everything neatly intact and fresh by the time it arrives. Each sandwich is around $12 (as of June 2026), and I honestly think it's worth the price because these sandwiches are huge and so good!!

Probably wouldn't get it again though as it did not have enough buffalo flavor for me. Wouldn't mind coming back to try another different one though. Service was friendly. Restaurant itself and Bathrooms were nice and clean.

I finally checked out this cute local bakery, and it was awesome…read more I got the Earl Grey scones, and they were so soft and moist. Most scones I've had are dry, but these were perfect and super flavorful. I got a few other treats, but I don't remember what they were called, but everything was so good and not overly sweet. It was a perfect balance. I am definitely going back.

So this is more of a order a go spot, if they don't have enough chairs. It's clean and did smell like baked goods when you come in. The decoration is cute also. I didn't know what to order and so I ordered a Dacquiose with cream and strawberry jam since I've never had one before. The owner described it as a mix of a macaron and cream puff. It was an accurate description. Definitely great texture. Just a little too much cream for my taste due to the sweetness. It was like a butter like cream, and it was sweet. I also got their chocolate chip cookie which was thick. It tasted very similar to a scone and not really like a buttery, crunchy/chewy texture of chocolate chip cookie that I like. A bit bummed that neither dessert wasn't something I liked. Also they don't have any drinks, which is also a bummer because milk or coffee would have gone great with the desserts. I'll probably come back and try something different, but for now either of what I tried really hit. However it's still worthy checking it out, because it might not have been my kind of taste of baked good, but could be for someone else.

Pastrami Reuben -ratio of pastrami to sauerkraut was perfection. Pickled onions tied everything together, soo good! Only down side to my sandwich was the pastrami was pretty fibrous/stringy but it was only a couple of pieces which didn't upset me too much. Tom's Way -pretty wet sandwich but everything paired well. Flavorful and filling but doesn't leave you feeling heavy. Spicy Gabagool -the sauce they use is chef's kiss. Not so much spicy but more of a season spiced. Really wanted to try their Lemon Crumb Bars but the girl ahead of me grabbed the last one. Just an excuse to come back for more sandwiches hahhaha. Opted for a Pecan Pie Bar instead; a bit more elevated than a regular pecan bar, crispy pecan added just the right amount of texture. Loved the caramel flavor but slightly too sweet for my liking.

Now I'm hooked! I tried their turkey sandwich with avocado and it was yummy. The bread was amazing I can't imagine when it's fresh! This is a loaded sandwich. I only finished half and the second half for later. The packaging is also so adorable! I definitely wanna come back to try their other sandwiches fresh! They're also known for their egg sandos??! I must try it all!
