Super 1 has everything such as our fave korean rice wine, soju, seafoods, korean bibigo pancakes, dumplings, fresh veggies, lots of fruits, and popular cookies like chocolate pie, premium beefs, and black pig pork belly, a lot of good stuff for kitchen, bathroom, home. Easy shopping w affordable prices, reward points, friendly service, and great parking. I recommend this market rather than Japanese Mitsuwa in Cypress. read more

If you're tired of HMart high prices, it's worth the time to make the trip to Super1Mart. Never heard of this place until I did a Yelp search of Korean grocery stores. I loved how large the parking lot is, not chaotic at all like HMart is. The aisles are a bit different though. They are short and there's a lot of product on the sides (shorter ends) so it can be harder to find stuff. All the produce is on the right of the store, and meat is on the left side. Home goods is in the middle. I loved their home goods section, a lot of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere ! & there's a lot of variety ! Maybe it was just my luck, but the time I purchased fresh rice paper here, it was brittle & did not taste like it was fresh which is annoying. That mall has many stores such as bakery, optometry, major Korean bank, restaurants, and korean market, food court. If you go inside market, you will see first ginseng store, gift shop, jewelry store, veggies, fruits, and Ramen, and etc. The fish, seafoods are fresh, the price of veggies are cheaper than other markets. The service is good. I can find the new products and old ones easily, korean liquors, precooked foods, almost everything. I love the reward card, the more you spend, the more you get as a cash. It has almost all the necessities I need if I'm craving a Korean dish or attempting to make a recipe at home, from quality kimchi, tofu, fresh produce, meats, and more. All the aisles and inventory are packed into a small space, so it's a challenge to maneuver sometimes, especially when it gets busy. I shop here during the week for fewer crowds than the weekends or evenings. Prices are reasonable and comparable, if not better than other big-name markets. There's usually plenty of parking, but with other businesses in the plaza, it can also be a waiting game. A few other small businesses are offered inside the market. This market is smaller than other Korean markets, but since it is close to my home, I often shop there. However, I have noticed that many of the food items being sold are past their expiration dates, so extra caution is needed when purchasing. For example, I once bought CJ Tong Tong Sausage and a Japanese Redbean Cake, only to discover that both were more than months past their expiration dates. Last week, I purchased an Otokii Snack Cup Noodle, which had already expired on November 19, 2025. It is very frustrating and difficult to understand how food products can be managed so poorly. I suspect that many other items, which should have been discarded, are still being sold. I sincerely hope this market will prioritize customers' health rather than just selling products. I've never had any issues with this Korean Market. They have their sales from Thursday to Sunday's every week so try to come in within those days! I love this place; all their produce and refrigerated products are fresh and easy to eat. I haven't seen any expired items ever in store. I always come here for their sashimi as it's always fresh and their prices are affordable compared to H-Mart where they practically double their prices but mark it as it's on sale. They also sell kitchen appliances in the middle section. With their reconstruction of the parking lot, there's more parking for all the stores now. Personally, I've never ran into any issues with the service of the workers. As long as you're not rude, you're not going to have any issues. This market is pretty small compared to H-Mart's but it has everything (less options but more affordable) you'd need to buy. Super 1 Mart is your coming-in-clutch Asian supermarket where if you don't want to overspend at H Mart or be in a mega large crowd at Mitsuwa, then you go here. They have enough of the essentials you need for Korean food if you are looking for Korean groceries. They also have a little food court inside that's pretty good for jajangmyeon and shaved snow. Mannnn their shaved snow is so good, but I'll keep that review for the Bing Soo listing on Yelp. Super 1 Mart is your typical Korean supermarket and they have a good option of meats for your grill or hot pot, so you don't need to worry about missing out. If you aren't looking for really specific niche items, you can find what you can get by with here at lower prices and avoiding crowds. They have the korean groceries I need and at decent prices. Especially if it's on sale! Customer service is lacking. I know the culture and language barrier may make it seem people are "rude" but that's not the case. Some of the cashiers are not very nice. The baggers are the friendlist workers here. After checking out & completing payment the bagger used ONE more bag than the the cashier charged for, she yelled at him. I offered to pay the extra on my cc (since I didn't have cash) and the lady yelled, no and made the bagger empty out the extra bag and stuff it into a produce bags. read more

I sometimes go to this market when I need vegetables for my Japanese dishes since it's close to my house. I recently bought some vegetables for a Shabu Shabu dinner. However, when I cut the Napa cabbage, I found so many small green worms that had eaten through the leaves. I freaked out and threw the cabbage away, but kept the worms and took them to the store. At customer service, the lady told me I should have brought the cabbage to show her and didn't offer any apology. She did refund the money, but that wasn't why I went there--I wanted the store to be aware that they were selling produce infested with worms. read more

A smaller korean supermarket, it still stocks all the essentials. There are quite a few sales around the store, especially in a lot of the pulmone refrigerated section of prepared noodle foods. It is part of the Hannam Chain of grocery stores. They have a large selection of banchans, and a smaller seafood market with some fresh fish. Came on a weeknight and it was a good experience: not very crowded, stocking had been completed for the day so no big stocking carts making getting through the aisles difficult. read more

This Korean supermarket is actually a bit out of the way for me - but I'm a regular @the Korean women's sauna across the street, so end up shopping here at least a few times a month. I've mostly been satisfied with their ready-food selections, (even though some daily hot food items increased in price a bit tad too much IMO) and other grocery items. (Such as meats, gochujang and dwenjang, etc. ) I've also purchased a good amount of Pulmuone nengmyun kits during the past summer. This market actually has better deals on certain items compared to other Korean markets in the OC area. Now having said that, there are 2 staff members whom I'd like to give a shoutout to. (But please do note everyone I've met there are all friendly & professional.) 1) The lovely older lady who manages the nengmyun kits area. (Don't know her name regrettably) 2) Mr. Charlie - one of the on-site managers at Super One Mart. They're both great with customers, very friendly, and professional. It's always very nice seeing them. Mr. Charlie even went an extra mile on my recent visit - and provided top notch customer service. ( I was in a bit of a bind while checking out my purchases at the cash register. ) This is a great neighborhood Korean market with nice selections, reasonable prices, some great deals, and a great staff. The only Korean market in cerritos!! The lot can get very busy due to the several food places in this location. The mart has a food court that serves 1 Korean style Chinese food and 1 dessert place. I think the Korean style Chinese food hits the spot whenever I'm craving black bean noodles or spicy seafood soup. The portion sizes are huge and for $7-10 totally worth it!! The produce here are always fresh and the prices are always fair. I usually get all my vegetables for Shabu shabu here under $5.00. The meat department has a variety assortments of meat both fresh and frozen. Clearly the frozen meat is much cheaper than the fresh meat. I usually get my Korean bbq meat here (short ribs, pork belly, wagyu, etc) If your looking for different types of ramen then this is a good place to try different types of instant noodles. One aisle is dedicated to kitchen ware; you can get the portable gas stoves, pots, rice cookers etc here as well. 토요일 저녁 8시즘 방문을 했는데, 영업 마감 시간이 9시임에도 왜 청소를 8시10분부터시작하는지 이해가 되지 않았어요. 커다랗고 시끄러운 바닥 닦는 청소기를 멕시칸이 밀고 다니면서 사람들 가는 곳곳 피하지도 않고 일부로 그러는건가 싶을정도로 따라다니면서 청소를 하는데 먼지도 너무 날리고, 더 기분이 나쁜건 왜 메니져나 직원 누구하나 다른쪽으로 가서 하라던지, 나중에 하라던지, 잘못된 행동에 대해 말을 하는 사람이 없는건지. 마켓직원들은 마스크라도 끼고있지만 구매하러간 고객누구하나 마스크도 안끼었는데 출입문이라도 열어놓고 하던지, 먼지를 그렇게 내면서 정신사납게 계산대에까지 와서 소음을 내며 청소를 하는건 기본이 없는 행동이라고 생각해요. 마켓에 한 30분가량 있었는데 목이 아프고 정신이 하나도 없네요. 직원교육에 안일하게 대처하는 한남체인쪽에도 큰 실망이구요. 리뷰보니 저같이 직원의 태도에 기분 나쁘셧던 분들이 한두명이 아니신거 같은데 , 답글은 교육시킨다 하시면서 달라지는게 없는거 같네요. 미국에 20년이 넘게 살면서 이렇게 쫒기듯 마켓보긴 또 첨이예요. 나았던 기관지염이 다시 돗는 느낌이였어요. 라팔마 한남체인은 이제 가지 말아야겠어요. read more

Super 1 Mart is a busy Korean grocery store in La Palma with plenty of parking, fresh vegetables and fruits, and all those Korean goodies you can think of. Yes, they have those delicious boxes of Choco Pie and Pocky sticks. They also offer the delicious apple pears and donut peaches when in season, along with a constant supply of fresh strawberries and blueberries. What most people often come here for are the vegetables. They offer all kinds that are typically fresh, and per their flyer, have some promotional items that allow patrons to get good deals in comparison to other major grocery chains. What I don't really appreciate here is the lack of social distancing and lack of mindful patrons once in the store. They tend to move slow around certain popular items in the produce section, and the spacing model in the store to maintain a semblance of order isn't there. The cleaning staff is also in question when considering a lackadaisical nature in which they allow patrons in or haphazardly clean carts. I think the best effort to get your fresh good here is to come early for two reasons: you avoid parking lot congestion issues and you can zip through the store without worrying about your safety. Either way, the store is a fun wonderland of Asian groceries and at solid prices when it comes to produce. read more

Seems like a good market with lots of stuff and sale prices on many items however, I am astonished at the amount of food that is sitting in boxes labelled "Keep refrigerated". I can tell there is very little room left in the refrigerated section to store these items so they leave stacks of them next to the refrigerated section with any refrigeration. I checked with the manufacturer and the items must be refrigerated. Now this is not just one item but many items in the store. It appears they have excess supply. Hint to the store manager. If you want a huge fine from the city/state, keep those items out again and you will be contacted for sure and the fine will be steep. Any comments. All the other stores I have been too have the same items but in a nice refrigerated section. I noticed no one is buying it so I do not know how long it has been out of refrigeration. My advice, buy another refrigerator. And throw out all those items you have not refrigerated. read more

On every occasion I've been here, the supermarket has been slow to busy, but not packed like Zion in Hawaiian Gardens. The aisles seem to have just enough space to not seem cramped. Parking can be hard to come by during peak hours, with a lot shared by La Capilla, Soy Tofu, Boba Loca, Pho Home & other businesses. Located on the left of Super 1 Mart by the entrance, Cocohodo has a location for your hodo gwaja (walnut balls) fix. There used to be a Man Doo Rang Express & a soondubu shop, but it looks like they have closed, unfortunately. Super 1 Mart is a great place to stock up on provisions, with an Asian flair. Cheap prices, quality selection & the free samples keep this shopper's cart pointed in Super 1 Mart's direction. Pretty upset at today's purchase. I bought mung bean fried cakes from the kitchen area and it listed it has beef and pork, it is no where to be found and charged $7 something. Deceiving. Perhaps it would be facetious of me to say this Korean market has undergone a type of rebirth. In a plaza filled with Korean businesses this Super 1 Mart now occupies the space formerly being a Drug Emporium. Though the market might be smaller than some of the other Korean markets nearby this one has helped revitalize a Korean community who are known to venture to neighboring communities to get their groceries. The importance of this space isn't just because it's a Korean market in a Korean plaza. There have been previous markets here that went out of business or left. Instead, this Super 1 Mart comes at a great time where people are excited for the new energy put into La Palma. The food court is small with only a Korean style Chinese restaurant and a wonderful coffee shop inside and the cash registers still only take card for purchases $5 and above but the social space is alive and thriving. Though a few Zion markets might be just a few miles away Super 1 Mart is a great Korean market bringing energy to a community already filled with Korean culture and people. I noticed during the beginning of the pandemic, they had plenty of TP and other necessities. No hoarding. They started limiting items about a month in but still had plenty of rice and other necessities. They are pretty good at enforcing the rules so no mask, no service. This place has now become my home local absolute go to grocery store. They always have a wide selection of meats either fresh or frozen, the cheapest prices and the most important thing is the variety for Asian food selection. I love it! Also it's not just about "cheap", because they have premium Wagyu and even higher end selections of imported meats. That's the most important thing about this supermarket, when I have money, I would enjoy wagyu for grill and on a regular day, I can just get USDA prime, either way it's still top. I also saw some amazing imported Korean salted fish etc. price was a whopping $74. I never knew fish could be so expensive but my guess is that it must be extremely good. I opted for the cheaper salted mackerel and Senegal belt fish. They also have a sashimi selection that I will slowly explore as well as traditional Korean seafood ingredients already prepared in packets for tour convenience. This market is new and I am glad they finally brought some business back to the small city of La Palma. However, what was good was that most stuffs are new, and they have many sample stations for people to try out things. What's bad is their produce section. The price is not as competitive as Zion Market nearby and due to lack of customers, their produces were not as fresh as is it (or a better price) compare to them. The biggest throw off was the smell of their fish department. I could've smell them from cashier! and the fishes were at the back of the market. Eck. If I could give this place a negative star I would. Never in my life have I ever experienced racism, I was genuinely caught off guard. We had just had dinner next door at a delicious restaurant tonight when we were walking towards the car and decided to pick up 2 extra bottles of Soju to take home. We got in line to pay with the cashier. The lady at the register looked at my boyfriend and I and was looking at us strange. I smiled as I normally do making a joke that my boyfriend is 12 years old. She grabs the bottles while she's holding my bf drivers license that obviously says he's well over 21 yes old. She than stops and asks us if we've been drinking tonight? I think she's joking and look at her with curiosity while my bf answers that we were just at dinner so yes. She immediately says I can not sell to you as it is law. I'm still waiting for the joke fully aware of my senses but very confused by her attitude. Here we are not making a ruckus or even making noise and she's acting like we're drunk off our asses. Again, still standing still never ever experiencing this type of racism I'm waiting for the joke. The lady just shakes her head and keeps saying no. Finally my bf grabs his license and says okay. Even now driving home I can't quite process what just happened as I have lived i California all my life and have never meet ignorant racist people.
