    Alfredo with shrimp

My family and I love The Froggy Dog! This is our second time here and we love it! We came earlier in the day and we got in with no wait! Our server was so wonderful, helpful, and funny. The alfredo with the added shrimp is so yummy, and the seafood platters are always a go-to here! Drinks are also so yummy! The atmosphere is nice as well, there is a pretty big bar, and the dining space is pretty big as well. Would definitely recommend!

Staff was super friendly. It was my first time here. My husband worked here when he was a younger. We decided to stop here for lunch after visiting his parents. I got a turkey club. I was happy with it. Usually club sandwiches either have too much mayo or the bread messes up the roof of my mouth. But this one was just right. I'll be back to try something else soon.

This place was so cute! The restaurant area looks like a pirate ship. The food we had was great, I had a veggie burger & the hummus appetizer which was good. Service was nice as well.

This place is amazing!! Great food, service and atmosphere! Liza was our server. She was prompt, professional and polite! She makes the best Old Fashions! , the beer was frosty cold! The food was so fresh and delicious! Huge portions too. The blackened Tuna Bites were the best!!The atmosphere was fun and we had good conversations. Go to The Froggy Dog and get some blackened Tuna Bites! You'll be glad you did! 5/5 Stars

The service was great! Liza was absolutely fabulous. There were 6 people in our party and everyone had their drink in hand within minutes of ordering. We appreciated the quick service. We also tried the frog legs which we lightly breaded and tasty. This place is also great for large parties and it's kids friendly.

Overall not a bad experience!! There were mixed reviews on here and Google so we took a shot and had lunch here one day. Cute little place right off the side of the road, lots of frog decor (obviously) and the staff were nice and friendly. I had a Caesar salad with fried chicken added and my partner had the jumbo peel apart shrimp and the lunch special (swordfish sandwich). Everything was good with my only issue being the shrimp could've been cleaned better. All in all worth a meal.

Lavender Mimosas...yummmmm. Breakfast tacos, spot on. Shrimp tacos get 8 of 10. Frog legs were a bit of a disappointment, took them home, the breading was too soft. Service with a smile, Liza made the drinks and kept them coming ..

Very good menu, especially on a Sunday for Fall Brunch. I got the crab cake Benedict which was good but pretty subtle.

If you're anywhere near Avon, Buxton, or anywhere on Hatteras Island, do yourself a favor and put Café Pamlico on your list. This amazing little place is tucked back off NC Highway 12, and once you find it, you feel like you've discovered one of the Outer Banks' best-kept secrets. The atmosphere is absolutely out of this world -- cozy, beautiful, relaxing, and full of that special Outer Banks charm that makes you want to sit back and stay awhile. The wait staff was fantastic: friendly, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home. And then came the FOOD... I had the Monte Cristo -- ham and cheese on French toast served with an incredible medley of berry compote. Sweet, savory, rich, and absolutely delicious. One of those dishes where you take the first bite and immediately know you ordered the right thing. We also had "THE CURE" -- fried chicken on a biscuit covered in gravy, topped with a fried egg and Buffalo sauce. GOOD LORD. That thing was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Crispy chicken, flaky biscuit, rich gravy, fried egg, and just the right kick from the Buffalo sauce. Every bite was ridiculous. And according to my wife -- who takes her sausage gravy very seriously -- Café Pamlico has the BEST sausage gravy she has ever had. That's a pretty bold statement, but after tasting it, I can't argue with her! I have close to 7.5 MILLION views on my Google contributions, and I'm telling every single person who comes across this review: DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH HATTERAS ISLAND WITHOUT TRYING CAFÉ PAMLICO. Whether you're vacationing in Avon, staying in Buxton, visiting Cape Hatteras, or just cruising down Highway 12, make the stop. Amazing food. Amazing staff. Incredible atmosphere. Hidden gem. Five stars without hesitation. Café Pamlico -- you absolutely knocked it out of the park. We WILL be back!8

This year they added an outdoor tiki bar and it has great views of the sound. So, if you come early for your reservation or want to stay for a few cocktails after dinner, this is the perfect place. The main restaurant has both inside seating with AC/heat and seating that is mostly enclosed but is more like outside seating with large windows that are generally open when the weather permits....not a bad seat anywhere you sit! During the summer months they host great acoustic guitar performances that can be enjoyed along with your dinner. This is the place to go to in the Avon-Buxton-Frisco-Hatteras area for fine dining and well worth the reasonable prices. During our visit earlier this week we ordered a kids meal, Elk chops, lamb, and the filet for this in our group and everything was cooked to perfection. The Chef was helpful at making recommendations on how the Elk should be cooked and the recommendation was spot on! If you're in the OBX this summer, put the Inn on your dinner rotation---especially if looking for a more upscale experience.

We tipped well and it did not ensure good or prompt service at all. I wish I could have taken back my tip after the lousy meal and experience. When we ordered I asked for two cups of ice water to fill our bottles and she brought us one and said she couldn't bring another. She also made us come pickup our food but brought others theirs. It was as if after 5 minutes she forgot who ordered what. Mind you, we were the only couple in here when we arrived, a small group of 4 outside, no one inside. We had three groups come in after us with about 10 people total. The girl taking orders at the counter acted as if any requests were a complete inconvenience to her in an empty restaurant. We ordered two sandwiches, an Italian and a custom gluten-free sub. The Italian was the worst Italian sandwich I have ever had in my life. The pickled onions and fresh meats were good, but the giant chunks of mozzarella and missing oils, vinegar and peppers really stood out as making it incomplete. It was not toasted at all. The gluten free sub was super dry and part of it inedible. We ordered a large side of jalapeño popper potato salad....no idea why it was called that...there wasn't a single jalapeño in it and I assumed some type of cream cheese...it was just really bad potato salad, we fed most of it to the seagulls with the super dry parts of the gluten-free sub. We had to go up and ask for additional silverware and napkins...when we picked up our food we got one spoon and nothing else. Again, asking for napkins and another spoon seemed like a huge hassle for the staff. When we were done we weren't sure if this was a "clean up after yourself" place or not so we bussed our own table...what was the tip for again? Anyways, bad experience. Terrible parking lot for motorcycles as it's mostly deep gravel. We won't be back.
