I am disgusted - DO NOT let this place fool you!! I wish I would have gone with the "asshole" sales guy that did my neighbors pool, at least he and the company were 100% honest!! One day, everyone seems so nice and is communicating with you and the next ...weeks go by and no one will answer the phones or return your texts!! I was told my pool would be done by Labor Day!!!! It's been almost a year since I put money down and they still have excuses!! Now they aren't answering or communicating and they would be done here in 3 days- tops!!! I haven't received ANY instructions at all on how to use my pool equipment or any kind of manual or warranty paperwork! I've asked 500 times how to put my umbrella in the umbrella holder on the pool shelf and no one is even answering that!! My pavers were mostly laid on Jan 6th and not finished!!! That's all I'm waiting for- that and the drainage to be inspected and actually passed (failed 3-4 times). They hired a friend of mine to do all the digging for the drainage and said they were sending him a check - which was 10 days ago (and he's out money-that he doesn't have!- from renting equipment) and he has yet to receive the check!! My pool is not compliant at this point since the drainage plan has NOT passed inspection due to the patio and extra pavers being done!! I am being ignored and they have deleted my app as well!!! Do NOT trust them!!!!! I am calling the attorney that has already been used against them tomorrow. read more

They turn up with a flashy sales presentation, mixed up with your typical shady sales guy. Materials and website looked good so we proceeded but since the start, the project was poorly run and they did not deliver the design promised. They treated our property, and us, with great disrespect. They get offended like scolded toddlers when you give direct feedback. Every single subcontractor who came to our site complained about how disorganized they are. Worst of all, the work quality is dreadful. If they had any integrity, they would be ashamed to deliver this but they don't. read more

We have been waiting for them to finish our pool and driveway. They subcontract anyone that they find that day to do the job. They get your money and then they do not answer the phone calls. Our permit still open with the city, job is not completed. All paid in advance. Everyday is a new excuse. Took them almost a year to start our pool and 3 months after still waiting to be finish. read more

UPDATED 5/19/17 - After seeing the review, the President of the company got involved and addressed the outstanding issues. Although the process was less than desirable, they eventually followed through and the result is a beautiful pool. The project was very poorly managed, communication was nearly non-existent, there was a lot of rework, the job site was a mess the entire time, it took twice as long to complete as stated, the pool equipment was not installed or plumbed to manufacturer's requirements, the hand rail for the steps was rusty when it was installed and they won't replace it and they literally destroyed all of the xeriscape in my side yard and they won't make it right. I had to call them repeatedly to get things done or redone correctly. The bottom line is that they did not deliver on what they said they were going to do and turned something we were very much looking forward to into a very unpleasant experience. I made numerous efforts to address issues during the course of our pool project before they became problems. They aren't honest and use typical sales tactics. They are not honest with timelines and are genuinely irritated when you ask. The took 13 months longer than the timeline Zach promised. They finished the pool in the wrong color, admitted it and have to redo it. They are not compensating us whatsoever though we were told it would be discussed. The company is exactly what you don't want when spending close to $100,000. It's a horrid company since the owner sold it during covid and they will ABSOLUTELY subcontract the entire project. read more

Attached are photos of a project on Snell Isle for a client of mine that Islandway Pavers and Pools designed for us. This project is a complete gut inside and out. We moved the pool 4' toward the seawall and 4' toward the side property line. It got off to a difficult start due to the sales person leaving and communication was difficult for a while. However, Lance was able to save the project and made sure that every detail was completed to the client's satisfaction. Islandway also installed the pavers at the new driveway and installed the Forever Lawn that turned out really fantastic. The clients and I are both very pleased with the end results. read more

Contract signed May 2017. Still waiting for the project to be completed. City red tagged the Pool reno /new spa and asked for engineering drawings 11/2017 to fix Costruction problems. Still no drawing. Our backyard is dangerous and has been unusable all summer , holidays etc. First they put spa in wrong location , wrong plans at site. Removed wrong wall existing Pool. Shotcrete too liquid fell off walls. This rebound was picked up and used to build spa wall which is against code. Cold joints not properly prepared . Joint of new to old wall only partially constructed. Forgot electrical conduit to add Pool light. Bottom drain not capped so filled with Concrete. Spa walls honey combed and crumbling. Our engineer said unrepairable. Need to be removed. Shotcrete overspray all over patio deck tripping dangers. Pictures, video and my engineer report to prove. read more

So surprised to see bad reviews from others because our experience building a pool with Island Way was outstanding from start to finish. The salesman Butch was thorough, pricing was competitive, they started on the exact date we scheduled, all Gulfport permits and inspections passed, and we had great communication from Norm, Jordan, and Justin throughout the project. Every worker was polite, cheerful and knowledgeable and worked in the hot sun without complaint. We're thrilled our pool was finished in the 6 week timeline they promised and it looks absolutely DIVINE! We've recommended Island Way to friends and neighbors and will continue to do so! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - BEWARE! First of all, I gave this company CASH in August of 2016 - their sales guy Butch told me that they would have my pool done and ready to swim in it in 6-8 weeks - 12 weeks "worst case scenario". They didn' even come out until mid to late September to lay the silt fence down of which it failed three times for because this company does not know how to put one up. I personally found out that I had to cover the silt fence to the line with dirt and went and did it myself. When we had the contract written, I paid for additional tiles to be installed on my sunshelf, steps, and in-water seating area as marker tiles. We also, upon selecting our finishes in the showroom, asked if we could get cobalt blue pebbles in the mix and Butch said they would handle that as a change order. Here we go. It took 5 times to re-do my Shell-lock pavers to just get the step height to pass. in order to pass, they had to move my drain line out to where you wank on it instead of against the front face of the bottom step. The City failed us several times for this. They sent the same crew out over and over to do this work to make my tiles look somewhat decent. A majority of my pool job was pavers and this is the WORSE TILE JOB I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! They also show up and never call and never show when they say they will - so you are pretty much a hostage in your home - waiting to see if they will do the work correctly. They put the mix in my pool and hand cut the wwall tiles so that there are two rough edges and put them as marker tiles - mind you, this is where people put their feet and sit on!!!! They are rough and uneven. Every time they sent the tile guys back out, the would destroy my bran new lanai screen that is caked with stone dust and formed like a concrete - Island Way also did the lanai work. They destroyed my outdoor TV, crashed in to the corner of my house knocking off my stucco down to the base of the house, wrecked my outdoor plumbing fixture which they still have not yet patched up the hole from where they had to drill in to my house to try and fix. They broke my new lanai screen door, AND HERE's THE BEST - THEY WANTED 100% PAYMENT IN FULL PRIOR TO THEM COMPLETING THE WORK! They have not come and fixed any of my pavers to this day a year and a half later!!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They want their $2,600 balance and yet did more damage and destruction to my property that what I owe! The pool pump broke 3 times now and they caked up my pool and filters with more stone dust/concrete! If I Could give them less than one star I would! Then they threaten that they are going to put a lien on my house. I hope they do so that I can hire an attorney to go after them as I need all of the pavers redone!!! Make sure you get a copy of their insurance BEFORE they begin so that you can use that as recourse later to have your personal property replaced and repaired. read more

Issues with pool build that differed from original design, employees can't read blueprints. Employees leaving company before corrections are done. It's been 9 months and I can't get issues resolved. So many issues It would take too long to list. They will keep sending different employees out (it's up to 8, including owners) but no one comes to fix the problems. Now even having problems with new equipment. Don't hire them, you will be extremely disappointed. I can't warn you enough about this unprofessional company. They will take your money and promise great follow thru but they will just stop returning calls and start telling you that it could cost money for service on equipment even if it should still be under warranty. read more

At first, we thought this company was great. Butch was easy to work with until things went terribly wrong. This company has serious communication and follow through problems. First, they didn't pull a permit when they began my pool refinish and deck extension, so the inspector shut them down and fined them last year, 2016. It took them almost 6 months to complete the work; they could not get local help, so our deck was completed by workers from Orlando. The work wasn't done correctly around our doors; so every time it rained, our pool room flooded. We hired another company to come out and fix it hoping that we'd never have to deal with Island Way again. Now, after 6 months, the deck they extended is sinking because it wasn't done correctly. We began calling in June to ask them to come fix it. We've been told they were backed up but we'd be put on the schedule. Its now November and we still cannot get on the schedule. They do not return calls anymore; they've told us for months that they would put us on the schedule. People, do not work with this company. Its a nightmare. read more
