Ciera is hands down the best waitress in Santa Clarita! Her attitude and attention to detail are unmatched!

Islands used to be a great burger place for me. Now it's an afterthought when it comes to choosing a place to go for burgers. They have specialty burgers and California style menu, but the last several times it just hasn't measured up to what I remember nor the other burger restaurants around. The Longboarder is a classic burger with the usual fixings and 1000 Island dressing. When I bit in it was very bland. Maybe this one isn't seasoned at all and maybe some people like it like that. But the cheese had all but slid off the patty and the 1000 island was just drippy wetness. Onion rings were good. Large and crispy. Fries not so much. Waaay to salty. Not sure if the salt container dumped too much in the kitchen or the cook had a heavy hand. They were inedible. Wifey had the Kilauea burger which was tons better. Although they messed up the order and put on toppings we asked to be removed. However the patty was flavorful. It seems they have toned down the heat level on it. I remember it being spicier. Urgh I wanted it to go better with Islands after being ways for a while but the competition is just far better. For $18-$20 a burger I'll pass. Still love the island vibe and surf videos inside. read more

Decided to come in so my fiancé can try something new lol We got the nachos for appetizers and then I got the fish tacos and my fiancé got the pipeline burger Nachos are 10/10 I really like those Fish tacos were like mid 6/10 the chipotle sauce was delicious but the tortilla was a little weird so it threw the taste off. I was craving the chicken tortilla soup, so I decided to stop by while on my way to Kohls. I also got the Kilauea Burger Bowl. I learned that this is just the Kilauea hamburger over a salad, no bun to help cut carbs, which I appreciate. The fried onion rings were fantastic, the salad fresh, and the accompanying sauce fiery which I really like. The ambience of this place is very Hawai'i and surfing which is cute if not authentic to the islands. Service is competent, just short of friendly but that is okay. I don't go here often but I do enjoy it when I go in, and I think you will too. read more

We shopped all day at Macys because they are having unbelievable sales! We decided to order take out from Islands and as we did like on so many occasions before. When I walked in to pick up my order I saw Jarron working hard at his job! Every time I go in there he is working his rear end off. I honestly always thought he was a manager because he puts out fires, helps employees with everything and takes care of any problems that come up. I asked if he was a manager and was told no. It's my opinion that he should be the manager there. The place was clean as usual, and ordering on line is very user friendly! The food was oh so delicious as usual. One thing about Islands they package your food very well and label each item in detail so there is no guesswork as to what it is or who it goes to. One more thing, when they put your food in containers they make it as beautiful as when you are dining in. The presentation is super! Islands also has a program that is free. You are able to save money as you continue to sit in the restaurant or buy takeout. I just made $10.00 on my food takeout tonight. If you love the beach you will love Islands restaurant because they have TV screens throughout for you to watch surfers riding the waves. You'll love this place. The bar makes really good Strawberry daiquiri and for those of you that don't want liquor they make really good virgin daiquiris. No alcohol in it but it tastes like it. read more

Popped in for lunch with my wife. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean. Ordered the chips and salsa for starters, salsa was good, had a little kick to it. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife the cheeseburger w/ fries. It was a lot of food, (3) tacos was more than I could eat and the fries (awesome fries) were big enough for us to share. Went to islands last-minute decision on May 23, 2026. I really didn't wanna be there, but we wanted to try it again for the second time I sat down ordered food came in in my fries. Not my first time here, but it has been years since I was last here. I tend to not frequent chain type restaurants, but I must admit the food was very good and the service was excellent. Robbie was our server and he was very attentive, helpful, and easily prepared the four separate checks we requested. It was pretty quiet for weekday lunch time, but got busier as we were eating. Between the five of us we had an array of burgers, tacos, soup, salad and of course the fries. I ordered the Yaki tacos and enjoyed them. I can never eat all three especially since I order a single side of fries with honey mustard dressing. The iced tea was unsweeted and very good. This location is in a busy shopping center and navigating the parking lot can be difficult but there are many parking spaces. It is nice to go to a place where you know there is consistent menu choices and everything appears and tastes fresh. Some fan favorites include the Maui burger, the french fries (they always offer ranch dressing), tacos, and grilled sandwiches. Please check out the menu as there are so many offerings. Came for dinner and ordered the Big Wave. Fries were over so over cooked, it was like a brick. Burger was just ok, more mayo would have helped. My server did not check in until I asked for the check. My warning with this restaurant, check your tip calculation. My order was $10.95 and when I hit 20% tip, it calculated $3.90, which is 35%. I hit 15% which added $2.54, which is really 23%. Someone should report this restaurant for inaccurately adding more to the tip. I won't come back here. read more

Food was good service was good no complaints on those. It took so long for my drink that my boyfriend's drink and both the appetizer and main dishes came out before my drink did. What was more upsetting was the table beside us, who sat down after we had already ordered our drinks, got their flight of drinks before I got mine. I love me some Islands! I made it after work just before Happy Hour ended at 6:30pm. I ordered a Tito's Moscow Mule which is my go-to drink! I started with a side Caesar salad which I scarfed down. I never go to Islands without getting the Tiki Tenders with a side of ranch and buffalo sauce. They came out super hot and crunchy! YUM! So I just ordered takeout from islands. It was my daughters birthday, but she was ill, so rather than go out we ordered. It was the worst meal I've ever had. The food was stone cold, and soggy like it had been sitting out for hours. My daughters burger came with 12 fries. 12. Not even half a portion. It was disgusting all round, certainly not worse the $70 is cost for 4 meals with no drinks. What happened, islands used to be a great place? I won't be eating here ever again. read more

This is my favorite burger joint. The burgers are delicious. The lunch specials are affordable and there are usually some sort of promotions. The happy hour is also great. Service is usually good. The ambiance is cute. Could get a little chilly in there so bring a jacket. My wife and I visited on a Friday night...It was crowded and we didn't have time to wait but found spots for us at the bar right away. The star of our meal here is always the fries...among the best restaurant fries out there. We also appreciate that they offer an Impossible Burger option as we're both vegetarians and that allows us to have as real-as-possible burger and fries night out at a place that's a step or 2 above fast food. I had the Big Wave, made with an Impossible patty. It was pretty good. I've had better, I've had worse...it did the job. For vegetarians you can also have a "veggie patty" if you're not into Impossible. There are other options too if you're not into a burger and fries, including nachos, quesadilla, a unique Tempura Green Beans side, and a few other sides to choose from. Also the island theme gives you a nice cocktail menu including a Mai Tai and others. We'd come back occasionally. read more

The food and staffs kindness was excellent but the real reason to go visit this restaurant was the bartender Ciera. The second you walk in she's attentive and builds the atmosphere with her charm and personality. Islands is fantastic for lunch. Food is out within 10-12 minutes making it a great place if you're in a time crunch. The ambience is beachy islander vibes with waves and surf on the screens. If the game is on, staff will absolutely change it to the game. Their draft beer, the BIG WAVE, is my favorite. Chicken tortilla soup is surprisingly one of the best things on the menu aside from their burgers on wheat buns of course. The wheat bun just hits the spot. Their fries were fresh at one point but they did switch to frozen. However, their dressings are always fresh. It's normally a good filling meal but I guess this is the restaurants version of shrinkflation. There was very little rice and it was mushy like what was left in the bottom of the cooker. Honestly sometimes islands is a miss but this past weekend was a hit Dining in seems to mostly be the key to a good experience as long as you stick with the basics like a burger or salad. Tacos were a huge miss on one visit Takeout can also be a miss if you don't check your order carefully. Burgers were all good this past weekend with refills being offered and guess what - fries are back being included with burgers with slight up charges for onion rings and sweet potatoes fries were plentiful this weekend - in the past that has been lacking on the takeout department as well. Loved islands before this terrible experience. I will start by saying this happened months ago but I never left a review but it's important others know about this. Don't get my wrong the good was good but 30 min after we left I felt very ill. Initially I thought it was just food poisoning but I got a serious bacterial infection that gave me nausea and vomiting for WEEKS I also needed two weeks worth of multiple medications for this. Needless to say won't be returning. Most likely hygiene practices that led to this. Sad to say that experience ruined my love for islands burgers and tiki tenders. Three stars only because our server was very attentive. My review is more towards the food. We ordered their fish and chicken tacos. The tortillas were horrible. As soon as you picked up the taco, the tortilla broke in half. It was like a play dough consistency, like a fake tortilla. Please do not use these tortillas! We ended up just eating the protein inside the tacos. Also, the fish tacos.... The fish inside is like a Vande Kamp branded fish fillet or fish stick. It's not a Baja fish taco like you're made to believe. Just go to Rubios. Also, we did order a burger and tempura green beans. The tempura green beans were great. The burger.... The bread was stale and basically crumbled as soon as you picked it up to take a bite. It was a mess and hard to eat and enjoy. Lastly we ordered a Margarita but asked for the liquor on the side. I know it seems like a strange request but we had good reason lol. Anyways, they brought the shot glass half full and said this was al they could give us. But I know from bartending that that's not true and I know they don't only use half a shot glass to make a margarita. But they still wanted us to pay full price for the drink.
