What a great hotel restaurant. Prompt service, great prices, and better than expected food. Got to try the traditional breakfast and my son's pancakes. Everything was cooked to perfection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice inside and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cage free omelette -5/5 I came here for a friend's wedding and have been drinking nonstop...as a result my stomach has not been doing well This cage free omelette was surprisingly delicious, and was the first solid food I could eat without feeling unwell.... 5 stars I probably will never come to this area again; but if I do, I will make a stop at this hotel restaurant.

Two stars for food, the service was beyond terrible, the place had just a few customers and we had to wait 15 minutes for the bill and at no point in time did any of the employees had urgency to serve. The ambiance is tranquil, clean, specious.

A cocktail made with tequila. Very refreshing.

This restaurant has some amazing food by an amazing executive chef. From flavors to texture to freshness it is all five stars across the board. The staff are friendly engaging. The cocktails are all unique and AMAZING. It is in the Hyatt in Valencia and it is one of my favorite places to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have live music on Thursday's in the lobby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Review #23 of 2023 April 30th visit for brunch. Antonia FTWin! Although the crew was short handed, she did the best she could to attend to us. Her demeanor was cool, calm, and collected despite the hustle and bustle of the brunch crowd. She was also able to handle the crowd well as many of her coworkers called off for that shift... The food was ok for the AYCE price point. Pricewise, I feel like we could have eaten better at another location as the choices at this location were limited. Also certain items were located out of the way as the setup was awkward. This business could use some improvement in the way that the 'buffet' is laid out.

Veggie omelet with fresh fruit, the omelet was very bland :(

Overpriced, mediocre hotel restaurant at Hyatt Regency with very slow brunch service on the weekends. I stayed at the hotel for a week and came down for breakfast only twice. There's lots of indoor seating and some outdoor patio seating. While the Mimosas are tasty and came out pretty fast within a few minutes of ordering, our dishes were served 45 min later with a lackluster sour attitude and didn't even get a chance to ask for a refill! As I wasn't able to pair the mimosa with the eggs - it defeated the purpose of ordering the cocktail. After this poor experience on our 2nd visit, I threw in the towel and grabbed breakfast outside the hotel during the remainder of our stay. Our 1st visit during the weekdays was much better. Buttermilk Pancakes (5/5) - The fluffy buttery moist pancakes were definitely the highlight of breakfast! You can get a small side of them (not featured on the menu), just ask! Breakfast Southwest Burrito (5/5) - The hearty burrito hit the spot with scrambled eggs, onions, avocado, potatoes, and Monterey Jack cheese paired with a side of crispy home fries. Perfect hangover food! Veggie Omelet (2/5) - While it was packed with veggies and cheddar cheese, the omelet was very bland and dense. I was a bit irked for the $2 upcharge of swapping the fresh fruit with a bowl of berries (my toddler prefers them!). After paying close to $15 for a dish, the substitution should really be free. While Great Pacific has potential, it's easy to see why there are so many empty tables.

Beef short ribs I was disappointed that short rib tasted sour and dry...

I was very disappointed that this short ribs were dry and sour. it normally took hours to get this dish pre prepared. But the unprofessionalism and unskilled cooking just made everything in vain. In the menu it said "braised short rib, sautéed garlic and shallots, haricots verts, parsnip mash, au jus". As there was no sautéed garlics or shallots in this dish, I asked the waitress. The chef said all garlics and shallots were grounded in this parsnips mashed potatoes. Hmm it was totally a lie. No restaurants would bother grounding the fine vegetables, especially shallots in the mashed potatoes, not mention that the menu said "sautéed" right there. It didn't taste like all those ingredients all mashed together at all. Apparently they didn't want to serve the food and just put whatever was available in the plate.

Greater Pacific is an ok restaurant in my opinion. It is part of the Hyatts hotel. I felt it is just regular hotel food. For the ambiance and customer service it is definitely a step above. The restaurant is very nice and the customer service is on point.

What I received was corn on the cob, potatoes and sausage with a few pieces of shrimp and the crab. My family does not eat meat so I do not understand how they could make such a mistake especially when I was the only customer there. What if someone was allergic to one of the additional items? I'm pretty sure the sausage and vegetables were added to the shrimp to equal a pound. I am totally disappointed with this mistake and I see the reason why the restaurant was empty on a Saturday afternoon. There was no way I could have gone back to return the item since I live quite far and I made the mistake of not checking before I left since the girl stapled the bag and sealed the container inside. The shrimp isn't cooked well either. Some of them were cooked for too long while others seemed almost raw. Bad quality.

Her knowledge and recommendations made a huge difference and elevated the entire experience. The seafood tower also came with three delicious ceviches, each fresh, flavorful, and uniquely prepared. The mussels were another standout dish, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. To top it all off, the Lure Blonde on draft was excellent and paired wonderfully with the seafood. As amazing as the food was, the real reason I'm taking the time to write this review is Catherine. I don't normally leave Yelp reviews, in fact, this is my very first one but her service was so exceptional that I felt compelled to go out of my way and recognize her. Catherine was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about every item on the menu, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. She anticipated our needs, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made us feel welcomed throughout the entire meal. It's rare to come across someone who combines professionalism, personality, and hospitality so effortlessly. Great food gets people through the door, but exceptional service keeps them coming back. Catherine delivered exactly that. Lure is fortunate to have her, and we'll absolutely be returning because of the experience she helped create.

I stopped in to grab takeout for my husband and me and was told the order wouldn't take long. The server was helpful and answered all my questions, so I felt good about the order: clam chowder, half-order lemon pepper wings, a catfish dinner with an extra side of shrimp, and grilled salmon with two sauces on the side (and cooked medium). After waiting 45 minutes--which already felt excessive for this order--I decided to check the food. I'm glad I did. The salmon was overcooked (well done instead of medium) with the sauce already poured on top. The lemon pepper wings had barely any seasoning, like it was added after they were already dry. And they completely forgot the shrimp. The server took everything back to fix it, but that took another 30 minutes. By then, my husband's catfish (and for $19, you only get one filet) and his cheddar side were cold, and the Caesar salad was wilted and warm. When the salmon finally came back--after another 20 minutes--it was still overcooked, now rock hard, and completely unseasoned. It felt like they were relying on sauce to do all the work, but even that missed the mark. The shrimp also tasted like pre-packaged frozen, not fresh. Nearly $90 later, we didn't enjoy any part of the meal. I'd suggest sticking to the boil if you come here, because based on this experience, everything else fell short.

The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.
