I had the luck to find him two weeks before a summer pool party, when the pool service I inherited couldn't get control of a sudden-and-progressing algae bloom. We have used Islas Pool Service for 2 years now. I originally chose Gustavo because of his great reviews on yelp and I have never been disappointed. He is amazing; I can't say enough good things about him. We have lived in our home for 20 years and have had 2 pool services before Islas. Neither pool service was really satisfactory but I didn't know that pool service could be like this before Gustavo. First of all the pool has never looked so good! The water is always crystal clear and beautiful--I like to keep my pool very warm with solar heat in the summer and I used to have to put up with at least a week when the algae would get out of control. Now he never lets that happen. Also you can email him with requests or to let him know you are out of town or whatever and he will get back to you. He is extremely trustworthy, his rates are low and he has a very polite son who helps him during the summer and he is just as great as his father. If you need something replaced, he will let you know and tell you the price of the replacement and ask you if you want to go ahead with the repair. His communication skills are excellent.
