    The sauna ....

I purchased both a sauna and a spa from Ryan mid-way through the pandemic in June.  I bought from Ryan because he was the most knowledgable person of the three I talked to on El Camino Real where there are three companies bunched together. One guy didn't give me the time of day, because I must have looked like a non-buyer in my sweats and workout gear.  The other guy was nice enough, but he didn't even have unit set up on their floor with water that you could dip your hand into.    Ryan knew what the hell he was talking about and simply walked me through every feature--and even let me come down and sit in the hot tub for 30 minutes before I made my decision.   When I ordered the hot tub he informed me that because of the pandemic, there was a huge delay and back log because the manufacturer was shut down.  He thought he could get me into an October delivery but he would have to check with the manufacturer.  It turns out that mine would not be built until mid-December and offered me a refund if that was too long to wait.   That was cool with me since I needed to build the concrete pad to place it on, line up an electrician and couple of guys to dig the trench, and find, order, and build a gazebo to place it under.  With as busy as contractors are right now, the wait was no problem.    As Ryan pointed out,  because of the pandemic the manufacturer was not only shut down, but the so were the companies that built the parts.  Making matters worse, every body and their brother now want a hot tub for their own home--so the backlog was huge.  The manufacturer was only letting him order so many units per month. I was, however, fortunate to grab the last sauna he had in his warehouse.   His crew came to install it  quickly soon after I had the concrete pad installed.   Now I read a lot service problems on this site but when my low voltage lights had a problem they sent a guy out to replace them as soon as they came in from the factory.   I went in to see him the other day to tell him how much I loved my sauna.   By the way, the guys who came out to built the sauna are top notch good guys.  The know what they are doing. (I can say they because I watched them build the whole thing!) Now I can't wait for my hot tub to arrive and I hoping I will get it sometime in December, hopefully by the end of the year.  But I know with everything going on, it will arrive when it's ready. I'm just happy that my concrete pad is in and the gazebo is up and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my hot tub.

This spa company has been nothing short of excellent. Ryan just drove out to help me set up the tub and went out of his way to help my family. They also were very patient with us and stored the hot tub as our home suffered a natural disaster. We picked the right place to get a spa and am very happy.

I had the choice between Sundance and Hot Springs, and I chose Sundance based on history. That was a mistake. Recently, the spa's electrical panel failed, which triggered a surge that blew out my dedicated 220 circuits. Despite this being a clear equipment failure on a nearly new spa, both Sundance and Paradise Valley Spas refused to cover the $250 electrical repair bill. For a company to lose a 25-year customer over a nominal $250 fee--after their product caused the damage--is shortsighted and shows a total lack of support for their customers. Buyer Beware: If you are looking for a spa, I would strongly caution you to think twice before buying a Sundance from Paradise Valley Spas. Their "support" ends the moment they cash your check.

We purchased a…read moreswimspa from them, but due to contractor difficulties on our end, things went sideways - the spa ended up sitting on top of a concrete pad rather than being sunk into a pit as intended. Once we sorted out a new contractor, Creative Energy -- and in particular Alex (their delivery chief) - rolled up their sleeves and figured out how to move the spa off the pad while we dug the pit, then came back and moved it in once it was ready. None of this was their problem to solve. But it was clear they weren't comfortable leaving a customer in a difficult situation they hadn't caused, and they went well beyond what anyone could reasonably expect to help put things right. That kind of service is rare, and it's exactly why I'd recommend them without hesitation."

I was given a monthly quote of 180.00 all inclusive from the maintenance department to provide requested service. However when my statement arrived, I was charged 354.00. It must've been a mistake so I called and spoke with the manager to make adjustment so charge would reflect the quoted amount of 180.00. Also quoted a repair service that wouldn't cost over 1200.00 and they tried to bill me 400.00 more after. So make sure to read the fine print when doing business with this company. I do not recommend doing business with this company. To Reply to David yes, I did use profanity which I never do but after being ripped off and lied to, and they miss represented their service and repair job anybody would've lost their temper was a horrible experience. I will never recommend them or ever do business with them again very bad total rip off.

While it looked nicer, it was not nicer. It's old, outdated and limited. It's stupid expensive. And the hours really, really suck. So after a year, we left Equinox and we were wavering on going back to the Bay Club or joining the Y. Our kids really wanted to work out and the Y was a great option for a family plan. So we joined for them. While testing it out and thinking we might bounce out to the Bay Club, we ended up loving it. They recently upgraded all the equipment to smart equipment and I'm diggin it! I haven't seen these machines since I was at an upscale gym in Houston a couple years ago! I love the price ($185 for all 6 of us, plus it as daycare vs $230/mo at equinox per person and no kids are welcome) I love the normalness of the Y too. I had a hell of a time with both mildew or mold growth in my spa where I did a complete change of water and a deep cleaning along with a chemical cleaning of the jets just two months ago. Yet I was still getting brown flecks that were coming out the Jets and floating around my spa and I had really lost my patience with it. George contacted me back the same day via email with some very useful information and said he could make it out the next day to look things over and come up with a game plan. He said it sounded like it would be a two-day service where he would have to drain the spa and use a commercial jet cleaner one day and let the spa sit overnight, then refill it and super shock the spa the next day before refilling it and balancing all the chemicals. The knowledge he imparted to me about water chemistry that first day was beyond anything I had ever heard before and there were a few different reasons why I was dealing with the issues that I had. He mentioned there were no guarantees this would take care of the problem but he had handled spas worse than mine before and been able to solve their issues. I have been a spa owner for over 30 years but this new spa has been a real challenge and obviously my chemical balancing wasn't preventing the growth in the spa. Two days later my water is crystal clear and my chemical levels are all completely within safety levels. It's refreshing to find someone in their field of expertise who knows what needs to be done and communicates it flawlessly then executes on the plan with stellar results! I was so impressed with his timeliness and service, I decided to hire him for weekly maintenance on my spa so I wouldn't have to worry about whether I was balancing the chemicals correctly anymore or not.
