He refused to even look at it if I brought it in and stated it wasn't even worth what it would cost to fix. The entire time he was incredibly condescending and treated me like I was trying to pawn something for Christmas money. I realized it was clearly outside of his self-inflated level of expertise and politely asked if he knew any other local jewelers who do have knowledge of this style of jewelry. Again, an abrupt "No." My fiance and I have done business there several times before over the years including the recent purchase and resizing of my engagement ring, and the staff were very nice. I expected to return to purchase wedding rings but now we'll take our business elsewhere due to the attitude of the owner.

I was SUPER impressed with their selection of t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc...and ended up purchasing a grey sweatshirt. Maggie was incredibly friendly and helpful, during our shopping visit, and the three of us were chitchatting about the area and whatnot. She happened to mention that her brother owned Montana Tap House nearby. My husband and I left to do some more shopping, and about an hour later (after the shop had closed), I realized that I had left my purse in the dressing room and I had a 6:35a.m. flight home to Arkansas. I called the shop to no avail, and then remembered that Maggie had told us about her brother. I had the idea to navigate to Montana Tap House...hopefully find someone that knew her brother, and in turn reach out to Maggie. And that's exactly what we did. Upon arriving at the tap room, I walked up to the bartender and told him my situation. He smiled and said that he could help. Maggie's brother (owner of Montana Tap House) was literally sitting two chairs down from me. He called Maggie and within 10 minutes, she met me back at Northwind Shirt Company and unlocked the doors for me to retrieve my purse. This certainly wasn't what they told me when I dropped my cello off. They certainly didn't give me any indication of this when they charged me the full price of $250 dollars, even when I was surprised respectfully asked if they would consider giving me a discount. They unashamedly charged me full price for a job that they knew was only "workable and not ideal." When I came back to talk it over with them, rather than working with me they made me feel foolish and rude for holding them accountable for their work. This is classic gaslighting. I previously gave them two stars--wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, after discovering that they knew that they were doing subpar work I'm dropping it to one star. This brings their characters into question. It appears to me that they are dishonest and inconsiderate. I certainly won't be giving them any more business.
