Meh... Service was great however the food was not good. I ordered spring rolls which were super greasy and therefore I couldn't eat all of it. Then I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp with steamed rice. My food was cold and was very unsatisfying. It badly needed some seasoning. Also my meal came with a soup so I ordered hot and sour soup. It was definitely hot, but it was not delicious. My entire meal was not fresh and very much so lacked seasoning. Also my beware of the shrimp salad spring rolls...they were full of raw onion. Almost like they ran out of other veggies and because of this, added too much onion. Yea just Meh...

My vegetable pho was very tasty, and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately my diet Dr Pepper was not carbonated. Something was going on with the soda machine so I asked for tea which was pretty . My waitress was very attentive and brought me the chopsticks and soup spoon when I asked for it. The ambience of the place unfortunately though was a little lackluster. I went there about six years ago when it was a pizza restaurant and it seems like everything was the exact same even the tables which had holes in the top. You kinda don't know what type of restaurant it is except for the signs and the menu there's no Asian theme in the restaurant design. However I give four stars for the pho and stellar service as it was worth the trip.

We came on JSU admission day. The food was great and service too! Keep this place open so we can come back when we visit!

House pho, crab cheese wontons, spring salad roll, wonton soup, egg fried rice

Ordered the house pho, wonton soup, egg fried rice, spring salad rolls with shrimp, and crab cheese Rangoon. Spring salad rolls were good, not the most authentic but still good. Pho had such a weird taste to it. It was almost inedible to me. The meat was ok, but it looks like they just took hibachi steak and chicken and threw it in the broth. The broth had such a strong overpowering taste, like they didn't strain out any of the seasonings like they're supposed to. Wonton soup just tasted like miso soup with a few pieces of really weird tasting wontons. Fried rice was ok, pretty flavorless. Overall would not come back or suggest anyone coming here

The pho was just what I needed for a cold and chilly day out. The meat was slightly overcooked. I'm used to the kitchen putting some slices of eye of round on top of the pho right before bringing it to the table. That way, the meat can flash cook in the hot broth. The meat was cooked fully through before it even got to our table. Besides that, it was delicious and the portion size was generous. Service was great. I will be back when I return to the area!

Kati Thai Cuisine in Gadsden is your first and last stop for Authentic Thai in Gadsden!!…read more We were in town visiting our grandson and were craving Real Thai food. This little place is exactly the kind of hidden gem you hope to find--completely unassuming from the outside, a true "hole in the wall," but serving absolutely incredible food with stellar service inside! We started with the Nam Sod, and it instantly took me back to my childhood. It was served the traditional way with crisp cabbage leaves for scooping up every bite of the spicy, flavorful ground pork. Fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Tom Yum Goong; which is my scale for measuring a Thai restaurant's authenticity, and it was perfection. The broth had that unmistakable umami flavor with just the right balance of spice, tanginess, and aromatics. The prawns were large, fresh, and cooked perfectly along with the perfect mix of herbs. My husband ordered the Pad Kra Pow with chicken at a FOUR-PEPPER chili heat, and it was exactly what he was hoping for--bold, spicy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Our daughter stuck with her okd favorite, Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken and shrimp. She's quite the rice connoisseur, and her enthusiastic thumbs-up said everything that needed to be said! The service made the experience even better. Our sweet blonde server was warm, attentive, and even took the time to share travel tips and local points of interest around the area, making us feel like welcomed guests instead of just customers. Great food, friendly people, generous portions, and authentic flavors--everything you hope for when you're looking for Thai cuisine. We'll absolutely be back again before we leave Gadsden!

And I highly recommend them always), a chardonnary, lemongrass chicken, and chicken fried rice to go for the Hubs. First off, they now serve Sutter home wine in airplane plastic bottles. YUCK. Even their wine previously, which was poured from a bottle, was nargial but it was better than this, which was awful! Again the rolls were delish, as always! Thanks for that! The peanut dipping sauce was delicious also! So there's that. On to the main, the lemongrass chicken. It should have been called sauteed bell pepper and onions with white rice. The chicken was finely chopped for the most part and I left hungry. All this was 40.00 with a tip and again it was not the standard Viet Huong used to have with hearty meals that constantly made a nice leftover lunch for me. They have gotten stingy on their protein at least in the lemongrass. I noticed it last time I came here and chocked it up to being an off night. Well it's apparantly the new norn. This is one of mybdwarrst friend/Sorority Sister's favorite places to eat as she typically gets their Pho. I'll go back if I get to enjoy her company, I just don't plan to visit solo again. It's too expensive to get awful "wine" and skimpy proteins. The last next to me was another soko diner and complained about her (I think) vegan or vegetarian meal she called in advance about and then showed up and it wasn't available per her request. There was no manager working the floor and I didn't complain, and likely that's why I didn't see a manager. I do hope your experience at this long-standing locallwd owned and opened by a high school classmate is much better than my last two visits were.

I say menu and food are different because taste and quantity is different. I was greeted by a nice gentleman who asked me if I was dining in or getting takeout. I decided to dine in. Dave ordered a pork banh mi and I ordered chicken pho with glass noodles and chicken salad. The pork banh mi was cooked through and flavored well enough. There wasn't much meat. The radishes and carrots were seasoned. We didn't see jalapeños. Taste wise this sandwich was ok. How to improve? Season the meat more, add more meat and add jalapenos. 3/5 My Pho ga with glass noodles was ok. The broth didn't have the rich taste I expect. It tasted weak. It definitely was not salty which is a plus but I couldn't taste the spices. My chicken was shredded and tough. I was disappointed the amount of meat and noodles were much less than other Vietnamese restaurants locally. 3/5 The chicken salad was ok. The dressing was sweeter than other restaurants. I would have preferred more meat. The chicken was shredded and on the tough side. 3/5 I may come back to try the foods here. I got steak and shrimp hibachi which I have purchased many times before as well. Upon arrival of our food, he tasted the Ramen first and made a terrible face so I tasted it as well and it absolutely awful . It did not have flavor, but somehow tasted burned at the same time. Truly inedible. My steak looked like fancy feast cat food and my shrimp tastes like it had been cooked in the microwave. We voiced our concern to the waitress, and her response was "have you never had it before?" to which we explained we had been there many times before and had gotten sushi and hibachi and had Ramen at other places many times. No one offered to make something different, an apology, or to maybe take that off of the check, because we did get one sushi roll that was great! They dropped our check off with the full amount and we left two full plates of food on our table. It was a disappointing experience and we will never be back. I would really like a refund for the Ramen and the hibachi, but since no solution was offered last night I'm not sure that there is one.
