Was told I needed 4 fillings the same day. Well let's just say I don't think I did need them all. At least 2 were done poorly and I had to go back to have them "fixed". Fast forward 7 months later I'm getting a root canal and a crown in one of the same fillings I had done here. I went to another dentist office to have it done so that I knew the procedure would be done correctly. That was over a year ago and I haven't had any issues since. I've been going to Issy for a little over a year. Until now I've always been impressed. Today's visit changed that. The front desk staff are always kind, the dental assistants are great, but my experience with Dr. Bui was not that great. I felt he did not take my concern seriously. I felt he rushed and was not thorough. So now I'm home and I'm in the worse pain I have felt dental wise. He literally took 3 minutes to examine me and really just left without explaining much or asking about my pain level. Another thing that frustrated me was the scheduling. They gave me a 9:00 appt. I was there on time, but no one was there. They all arrived 10-15 minutes later. I felt that was unprofessional. **update** I initially left a 3 star review. I have changed that to a 5 star. When I left the review the dental office actually contacted me to correct the situation. I have never had anyone contact me regarding a review I left. I was impressed. They truly were interested in my opinion and wanted to right the wrong. It's rare to find that these days. It makes me happy to know that they care about my opinion. I will be returning to Dr. Bui and his staff and I appreciate their effort. read more

** Be aware all the high ratings are years old before management and ownership changed* read the recent reviews! I wanted to give two stars instead of one only because some of the people there were nice, but in the end this place is a 1 star dentist. This place was shockingly dirty. I understand that it's not possible to keep a place completely clean at all times, but this was laziness dirty, complete lack of care or sanitation. There was dust and wall scuffs everywhere, which I can get over, but the area where they do exams should be clean. It wasn't. The examining light had visible gunk and splatters all over it which looked like back-spray from cleaning out mouths with the water sprayer. The floors were sticky and the swiveling tray to hold instruments was dusty and also sticky. The chair I was sitting in had some sort of greasy spill on it. The protective glasses they gave me looked like they'd never been wiped down, had scratches and finger prints all over. The bathrooms were not clean either. It's that same rule of thumb with restaurants - you can gauge the cleanliness based of the bathroom. It's a shame because the people there were nice, but I refused a cleaning because I was extremely concerned about their lack of hygiene, especially as they insisted on a deep clean which has a higher risk for infection if instruments and area is not sanitary. I told them I couldn't afford a deep clean which wasn't covered by insurance ($1300) and I wasn't comfortable with the possible risks (weeks of teeth pain and sensitivity, plus infection) but they refused to give me a regular cleaning and would only do a deep clean - which made me realize it's definitely a cash grab. Only go here if you're desperate. Actually, don't go here at all. read more

Not sure who these people saw compared to who I saw, or perhaps the dentist is bipolar. But when I went, Dr. Bui was RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Very demeaning by telling me (and I quote): "Ugh, your teeth are in HORRIBLE shape". I'm sorry, but I went there due to pain caused by an issue I was having, NOT to be ridiculed and treated like trash. I've told many people to never step foot in his office! And FYI - the assistant who did my X-rays also said she didn't care for him and was looking for another job. Beware! **Edited to state that he has been reported to the dental board for his ludicrous behavior. I hope they follow through and give him fair and harsh punishment for the way he treated patients. read more

Changing Dentists is never fun but I'm so glad we did! The entire staff I friendly, professional and very responsive to questions. I hadn't been to the dentist in a while - I just didn't like my old dentist - and they didn't make me feel embarrassed or foolish. We just fixed the problem and that was that. The office is large and airy. Bright, sunny and clean. I loved how everything was super efficient. They was no question that they wanted me to be clear about my treatment plan, cost and what my insurance would cover - and it felt about me not being surprised by cost, not their worry about my ability to pay. I am completely pleased with the quality of my dental procedures. I highly recommend!!! read more

It's not easy to find a dentist that you trust. I was referred to this office by a friend after I expressed how much it sucked having to go through so many different dentists just to find the right person to do my root canal. I expressed my concern to Dr. Bui about the process of getting the procedure from the pain to the finances. He was really understanding and professional as well as the assistant in my room. It was easy to sense his passion for what he does by his courteous and personable attitude. He was informative and kind to all the concerns and questions that I had. My husband has been twice , my toddler had his first visit and I have been once. I'm going later today and am very excited for my cleaning and whitening. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I truly hate going to the dentist because all of my previous experiences had me feeling a little uncomfortable. I had a positive first impression of the office when walking in. They have modern decor and their assistants are really helpful and friendly. I'll admit I'm a wuss when it comes to having any dental work done, even if it's a simple teeth cleaning, but any and all of my questions were answered and everyone their made me feel at ease. Dr. Bui is very professional and also shows he genuinely cares for his patients. He didn't make me feel as if I was being rushed in and out of my appointment. I plan to see him again anytime I need dental work done. I also referred my brother and they let me choose between a take home whitening kit or a $25 credit if I talked about my experience. My son and I just walked out of Issy Denatal due to one of the technicians being horribly rude. My son and I had appointments at 11 and 11:30 for x-rays and cleaning. At 11:45 my son still had not even started with his cleaning and I had not even started with x-rays. I asked if they had any idea how long it would be as I had another appointment and the technician told me I should have gotten there earlier. I started to tell her I was on time for my appointment but my concerns were due to the fact that my son was still not even started and she said " I don't need to hear the story again, let's just get this over with!" I got up from the chair and said I was leaving because she had no right to speak to me that way and she put her hands on me to stop me from leaving! Are you kidding me! The dentist is a tough place for some people anyway so how do they think being rude and putting your hands on a person is helpful? The office manager apologized but at this point I don't want them anywhere near me or my family with sharp objects. The Dr. never even came out to see what was happening and we were the only 2 patients there! The offending technician just stood there glaring at me during the entire conversation, yet they wanted us to allow her to continue helping us! Buyer beware if you decide to go here! They are slow and rude and made me feel unsafe. read more

My kids like this place because they let you choose what you want to watch on Netflix as they work on you. So far things have been good here for my kids. They used to have tablets for the kids to play on and coffee and tea for clients but don't see any anymore which makes me sad. But the doctor is sweet and staff too. read more

Office manager Andrea gave me a treatment plan with things the dentist never mentioned to me, including several replacement fillings for older fillings that must have been so old I didn't remember ever having or seeing them. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they did recommend extractions of my wisdom the same as issy recommended, but they said they did not see any previous fillings where issy was seeing them. I was sick to my stomach to think I almost signed off on all this work I did not need. I definitely won't be returning to issy and neither will my husband and kids. I truly hope they just had the wrong file when they drew up my treatment plan, but even if that's the case, that kind of carelessness is not acceptable when working on PERMANENT TEETH! ------------ After some time, the dentist called to clarify that the office manager was confused and was actually supposed to ask me if I was still interested in bonding or veneers. Andrea was very obviously confused as she kept pushing me to replace fillings. I was happy that they were able to communicate the misunderstanding to me but by then I had already gone to a new practice. read more

I usually don't write reviews but this place is the worst. I don't like going to the dentist. Not like how normal people don't like it, it makes me cry and I freak out. I let the dentist know about my fear and rather than being nice all he said was open your mouth oh it's been a while. When he was done looking in my mouth he got up and walked away without saying anything and nobody came back to see me for another 30 minutes. When I was finally seen the list of things that need to be done along with the prices were outrageous. I was told that I should get another dental insurance because mine didn't cover anything. So I did that and I called them back to schedule my wisdom teeth removal and they still quoted me at $1000. When I told Maria I couldn't afford $1000 and I was going to have to cancel my appointment rather than trying to help me or say they have payment plans she said OK I'll do that bye. So I wanted to get a second opinion I ended up going to Copperfield modern dentistry and orthodontics and with my deductible to get my wisdom teeth removed it only cost me $400. So long story short they are a rip off, they have no customer service skills, and while their location is nice and clean it's not worth going to. read more

I came and got my teeth cleaned first and it was kind of odd to that they don't send you home with toothpaste/brush after a dental cleaning. The teeth cleaning lacked the sparkling feeling.. Next visit I had fillings done which took quite awhile and I had to come back to get it fixed but the dentist was very nice. There seems to be a lot of tension among the staff and that is what makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Routine seems unorganized with lack of communication. update: a little over a year later- all of my fillings did not seem to hold well... I have cavities in the same areas that had work done... This place is amazing! I HATE the dentists, and everything about it. Unless I am in pain or need something fixed. So it is nice to know that I have now found a dentist I can go to regularly and like I should. I came to Dr. Bui looking for a second opinion, and after I was treated horrible at another dentist. He was completely different, and right away I felt like I was in good hands at Issy Dental. He is very kind and gentle and not judgmental at all. I have no words to describe how horrible my experience was. Initially when I made the appointment, the lady was nice and helpful but couldn't get me in for two weeks. The day before my appointment someone else called for insurance information and she was extremely rude. The day of my appointment I arrived 15 minutes early and they did not even give me paperwork to fill out until I had already been waiting for an hour. Then after all that they told me I would be waiting an additional thirty minutes to get started on my teeth cleaning. I spent almost two hours there and got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING accomplished but x-rays. Needless to say I'm looking for another dentist. I already hate going to the dentist so this clearly did not help me in wanting to get work done. I am so upset, I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this place and to NEVER go there. read more

Everything was great when Dr.Bui took care of me but I don't come here anymore because the other dentists do not know what they are doing. Spent so much time and money at this place only to go back and hear from a different dentist that I need more done. I went in for an emergency crown and wisdom extraction. I was so nervous because the last dentist I went to was a horrible experience. This dentist was total opposite. He gave me my options, took time to explain every one of them to me, and listened to what I wanted. He was very patient with me, kept asking if I was ok during the surgery, he made it a great experience. Not to mention his staff, always smiling, very helpful and kind. The dentist even called me the next morning to check in and make sure I was doing alright. Now that is awesome service. Highly recommend this place. read more

This place is fantastic. They from desk ladies were very helpful over the phone. They called until I confirmed my appt. When I arrived the process was very quick and easy. Once I went inside Pamela (I believe that's her name) was amazing. She was very careful doing my cleaning, She took her time and made sure I was ok at all times. The Dr. was nice, she gave me options for what was needed. When she was done the front desk lady came in and showed me the total for the procedures needed. she asked me what I wanted to get done and and we were done after that. I've been visiting this office for two yrs now. My most recent appointment was at 11am, in which I arrived at 10:55. Usually I'm in and out for a cleaning. I was called back about 11:15. I noticed not one single person from my last cleaning 6 months ago, not an issue. I get X-rays done and I'm offered to watch Netflix. I was 3/4 complete on an hr episode of the show I was watching before the dentist came in. Not sure of his name but it wasn't Dr. Bui. I think his name was Dr.Davis. Fast forward through exam.....I inquired about braces (brackets, not Invisalign) because I know I would not be compliant with wearing the trays as ordered. I'd expressed this several times. He flat out verbalized that I wasn't 14 yrs old or a teenager anymore implying that the metal brackets is for kids. I was taken aback by his comment. What the patient pays for and will be compliant with is what the patient should be serviced with. I refuse to pay $5000 for some trays that I know I won't be compliant with. I will only make appts with the usual hygienist and dentist I normally see here. read more
