We were greeted with mimosas upon arrival, and Catherine had already picked several items for both of us to try on. After combing through the store, I found that the biggest challenge was narrowing down my selection, because everything here is so stinking cute! It's clear that they do a lot of research on current trends. The 45 minute time a lot seemed to fly by, but I left the store with a bunch of new clothes that I love! I never feel insulted and I donate those items rather than dealing with the other shops.

I got home and decided to look online for the shirt in other colors, only to find that the price I paid at Purpose is 25% higher than MSRP. I could've purchased the same shirt on the brand's website, another site, or down the street at Evereve even for 25% less. I called the boutique to enquire about this and they let me know that if I was unhappy, I could exchange it for store credit. They do not accept returns for refunds and they would not honor the MSRP price. However, if I had purchased the shirt from Purpose's online store then it would be eligible for refund. Yesterday was the first and last time I will be purchasing something from Purpose. I'm all about supporting women and women-owned businesses, but not ones that take advantage of customers.

I thought they were very reasonable and very honest with their pricing and gave me an itemized receipt! I would definitely recommend this shop for really nice quality vintage pieces. They hit the bullseye and now have a return customer pending a successful pickup once the work is done. When they haven't had my size they'll order it for me. if a particular manufacturer is no longer making the pants I want they'll show me what else might be available. And their tailoring is exceptional, Yakov is a master tailor. If I were still working I wouldn't hesitate to have him make my suits and tailor my dress shirts. He's a true gem. Before we even got in the door we were met with hostility from the woman behind the counter, she told us in no uncertain terms we were NOT welcome to browse and wanted to know what we were shopping for! My friend said she just quickly wanted to look at hats and the woman and her coworker roughly pointed her in the direction while mumbling under their breath that we were not welcome and should just leave! We were there less than two min and that was way too long for me! I would NEVER EVER give a penny to a company with this sort of employees or service! We were in no way being rude, pushy or out of line! The store was literally still open and the door was unlocked! Such gross behavior from older adult women! They should be ashamed!!!
