Well we were enjoying dinner in kirkland last night and decided to pop into this shop to look at hats real quick. It was 15 min before their closing so we were not Planning on lingering! Before we even got in the door we were met with hostility from the woman behind the counter, she told us in no uncertain terms we were NOT welcome to browse and wanted to know what we were shopping for! My friend said she just quickly wanted to look at hats and the woman and her coworker roughly pointed her in the direction while mumbling under their breath that we were not welcome and should just leave! We were there less than two min and that was way too long for me! I would NEVER EVER give a penny to a company with this sort of employees or service! We were in no way being rude, pushy or out of line! The store was literally still open and the door was unlocked! Such gross behavior from older adult women! They should be ashamed!!! read more

I stopped in for a Black Friday sale advertised as 20% off, though the cashier initially said 10% until I mentioned the email. Cute stuff but what's with the attitude? Came in looking for cowboy logo t-shirts that I had seen before in there with my daughter. Looked around and was texting my daughter some of the brand names of the shirts they had (She was looking for a certain shirt she had seen last time in there). Sales lady approached and said she thought I was taking photos of the shirts. Uh No, I wasnt. I pointed out that some of the shirts I was looking at were really big, she said no they are exactly sized. One of the M sized shirts I pulled out would have fit my 225lb, 6.2 husband. Great boutique in downtown Kirkland with fun women's apparel and accessories. I've been inside Via Lago a few times, as their window display always draws me in! They sell apparel, accessories and gift items for women, and have great seasonal items. In my last visit during the Kirkland Wine Walk, they were selling inflatables for the upcoming summer/pool season in all different themes/animals/colors! Gotta love it. Staff is super friendly here. They're happy to help, especially if you can't find a size or color on the floor, as they do have some stock in their closet. Every time I visit I see something new here, so it's worth checking out if you're in the area. I've found that Via Lago is especially great for themed gifts, like bachelorette party bath robes or trucker hats with glittered font. You catch my drift. For that fun and special gal pal in your life, this is a great place to look for a gift while in downtown Kirkland. read more

I went into #ViaLago Via Lago Kirkland in downtown Kirkland. It is a local wonderful boutique. Via Lago I walked in and the owner Chapman greeted me and remembered me, my dogs and husband. I have not been in since before COVID I told her what I looking for and she pulled a bunch of things off the racks. Everything fit and I walked out with two amazing outfits and feeling wonderful. I always stop in this shop because they have fun things to look at! Unfortunately everything is ridiculously expensive...All of the other reviews are correct about the customer service, there is none. Usually my friend and I are not greeted or acknowledged while we are in the shop, and it makes for a very uncomfortable shopping experience. Great quality women's clothes but the prices are high for those on a budget. The style is on par for the older crowd 30 and over that has a lil extra $$ to spend. The average prices for a pair of pants is about $100 with the shirts being $130+. Out of my range for clothes. Where is the mall where I can go to Banana Republic, Gap or Macy's? read more

There are many places one can purchase clothing. But there are very, very few places where that is so much more than just a transaction... where it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience! Chapman, the owner of this Kirkland shop, has created just such a place. The atmosphere is so friendly, warm, welcoming. Trying on the beautiful items that she carries is fun! This is my favorite clothing store ever...I can walk down there, Chapman will remember me right away, and almost every single thing in there is adorable. All I have to do is walk in and tell her what occasion I am shopping for, and I can count on getting something beautiful, practical, and appropriate. It is a little bit expensive, but totally worth it for the style and quality. They regularly send me postcards advertising their sales and their Open Houses on 2nd Thursdays - with free champagne and other goodies! The ladies there are sweet and friendly, without being pushy, and the atmosphere is totally relaxing despite the chi-chi location and clothing. read more

I wanted to like this store however, my experience today left something to be desired. When I walked in I was greeted by a rather large dog, who did seem friendly. The person running the store said something about the dog, I assumed she was saying that he was friendly (I didn't pay much attention to what she said to be honest because I was still a little shocked to be greeted by the dog right as I entered) so my reaction was to say "it's ok" indicating that I love dogs and was ok with the greeting. The lady responded by saying "No, he runs out so I need you to shut the door quickly. That's why we have the sign on the door". I'm sorry, I didn't see the sign on the door. I didn't realize that there were instructions for entering a clothing store. This is a clothing store, not a pet shop, I wasn't expecting a dog to be there immediately when I opened the door. Perhaps the dog should be on a leash and not able to roam freely around the store if he has a tendency to dash out the door. I would assume she would want people coming into the store, however I will not return as I shouldn't be reprimanded for not entering a store fast enough. read more

I visited them for a fitting for a fashion show they had their styles at and the process was very fun. From all the selections, I was able to find the style that I liked. The year prior, the store I was at wasn't too interested in how those styles look on you but Chapman was. She's very friendly and even though it was quite busy and it was her birthday, her love for making people feel great shines through. read more

I was in a hurry to meet my family next door at Anthony's for my daughter's birthday dinner, but had forgotten a mask. I called Via Lago and the owner assured me that she had a great selection and could get me in / out the door quickly. The store was fun to browse around in but the prices are ridiculous! A case in point is that they had a cute husky wine cup last time I was in. It was basically like a stemless wine cup. I saw the same wine tumbler on the Washington Huskies team store website for $24.99. Via Lago was pricing it at $75. Are there examples would be things like make up bags and other accessory type items that were priced it double or triple where I've seen them elsewhere. The Huskies wine glass is the best example I came up with though. I understand the pricing a little bit to make a profit but when you literally triple the price that they're asking at the team store you're just ripping people off and no one wants to be made a fool of. So I think these guys are trying to be a luxury store but the items they sell aren't actually luxury they're just priced at luxury prices. read more

The owner Chapman is an incredible help! Almost everytime I go in here to browse, I leave with something that makes me look fabulous and 10 years younger. Chapman will take the time to find something that both looks great on you and fits your budget. Even though it may be a bit pricier, all the stuff I have bought here has transitioned into my wardrobe well. Somehow she buys hip and chic clothing that lasts more than one season. I have recently moved to Kirkland and I was excited to see some high end boutiques. I have visited Via Lago on 3 different occasions(purchased items once). On all 3 visits I have never once been greeted with a hello, or welcome ...nor a goodbye. While in the dressing room and was never asked if I needed any assistance or different size etc. Upon leaving today ...I went to the door opened it and waited for the sales associate to look at me.I said I have come in here 3 times and I have never been greeted upon entry or been thanked upon exit...I said to her "Shame on you!" and left the store. I was referred to Via Lago from the girls at Flawless and so I walked in yesterday and was just in love with the place. The owner Chapman introduced herself and was so helpful in trying to find the right outfit for me as I was attending an event that night. She had a pair of shoes I wanted so bad but they didn't have my size so she called Nordstrom for me and was looking online. Who does that any more? It was just fantastic customer service all the way through. I honestly felt like I left there having made a new friend. This is one of my favorite places to shop by far, HANDS down! I recently drove past the store and noticed a dress in the window. So I called and they were so kind as to put this dress on hold till the next day in my size, granted I'm pregnant and they knew it would fit me. I called the next day as I was driving to my event to make sure they had time to help me. THEY DID!! Chapman even said she would help style me for the event I was rushing to, and she did just that. She helped with my makeup, my hair and offered me some bites to nibble on while I was getting ready. This is a very full service boutique and I love the ladies and their energy. I've shopped at Via Lago, in Kirkland, for 10 years and love the clothes there. The owner; Chapman, is always stocking the latest fashions... very trendy! This is one of my favorite stores on the East Side and Via Lago often has special events and sales. If requested, Chapman will even provide appointments for customers to give them dedicated attention during their visit... while other staff help customers, too. I noticed the unfortunate, negative feedback from JenD on Yelp, below. I'm a small business owner, too, and it is always difficult when a Sales Rep stops buy unexpectedly and demands my attention. It's very unprofessional and inconvenient for salespeople to try to sell their wares without an appointment and especially when there are customers in the store. Chapman did the right thing by politely, but firmly, explaining to the Seahawks jewelry sales person that she was not interested to pickup another jewelry line. Chapman is one of Kirkland's most established, successful, businesses owners. I've always seen her treat everyone with dignity and respect. She prides herself in 1-on-1 service and has many, many, return customers. You should stop by Via Lago and find out for yourself. She is the best! read more
