My uncle is a patient at this office, and he referred to our family. I did try to call them to verify my parents' insurance twice. I talked to Christina, and she told me that she would call me back. I haven't heard from her ever since so I called back the third time and talked to her again. I asked her whether she verified my parents' insurance or not. She pretended to be naive and told me she was busy, so she forgot. She insisted to ask the information all-over again, but I said no way. I ended it up to go back to our optometrist. I was way overdue for an eye exam so I looked through yelp and this was not only close to where I live, they also had a 5 star rating. I was greeted 2 steps before I even walked through the door by 2 friendly ladies. During the testing and fitting for my new 'designer glasses I was having a great time. The staff is super friendly and I liked the fact that she uses newer technology. When I asked her questions about the possibility of me improving my vision at my age she told me of a procedure that's been around but not too many are trained to do it. I made an appointment for a consultation with her sister who specializes in this procedure! I'm a candidate and can't wait until I can move forward to do it! As I promised to the gentleman who adjusted my sunglass last time, I just called to make appointments for my parents and aunts to come here for annual eye checkup and a lady picked up the phone, checked their insurance and told me they are not the provider of this insurance, but they are trying to apply it and will be completed the process next year. I've only had one optometrist my whole life (Dr. Truong) at Sears. When I found out she's leaving, I followed her! And boy, am I glad that I did. She's always so friendly and pleasant. Love her new facility! Clean and super friendly staff. Will is awesome! When I came here, I was introduced to Dr. Lauren who informed me about Ortho K. I've never heard of it before and was very hesitant about the procedure. I refuse to get lasik surgery and this was an option, so why not? But, how can I wear corrective lenses overnight and be able to see the next day? I gave Ortho K a whirl. I was one of the very few who had 20/20 vision the next day, considering my eye sight isn't all that great. Took a few days to get used to with blurryness or seeing stars when I look at lights at night. It's been about 6 months since I started Ortho K. Blurryness and stars are gone. I don't regret giving Ortho K a try, whatsoever. I just sleep with the lenses on and boom! Clear vision the next day. I can work out again without wearing any contact lenses or glasses. I've been looking for a new optometrist when I noticed iStyle's Grand Opening sign while eating at a nearby restaurant. I decided to go in and give them a shot. I couldn't be more pleased that I found them. The place is really nice, all the newest technology testing equipment (no more air puffs into your eyeballs!) The selection of frames is expansive enough that you don't feel overwhelmed or confused, yet they stock all the newest designer frames. The price range is equally expansive and very reasonably priced by comparison. My favorite part are the owners and staff. They made the entire experience an actual pleasure. Owned by sister's who each have over 25 years experience and several specialties between them. Her name escapes me now (I'm so sorry), but their Optical Assistant is So sweet and knowledgeable! They take pretty much all insurance, even CalOptima. No pushy salesperson pressuring me to add unnecessary add ons. I made my own decisions using the information they provided regarding my coverage. Not once did I feel pressured unlike my last Optomotrist. Another thing that may be helpful is to know that contact fittings are only $45. That's less than half of what Costco charges! Lastly, you could throw a dance party inside their amazing restroom! All they need is a Japanese toilet! Custom lighting and beautiful design. Anyway, went in with my daughter's prescription just to choose some glasses, and ended up going back sending all our kids in for a check up and both of us as well! We found our daughter a perfect pair of frames, and they will arrive in half the time of our regular optometrist. I've been seeing Dr. Tra Mi for about a year now. She is an amazing, kind optometrist that truly cares about you. I always feel welcome here! I struggle with finding glasses that are comfortable and suit my face shape. However, I always manage to find a pair of glasses here that fit amazingly well and are on trend. iStyle Optometry carries a large variety of glasses that suit many different face shapes and are super in style from different brands (Prada, MiuMiu, Versace, Prodesign, Raybans). There's something for everyone! I came earlier today to get prescription on glasses that I purchased outside the store. They were so helpful and happily did that for me. They didn't need to, but they also offered to fix my nose pads and my glasses on my new and current glasses so that it doesn't fall off my face. The best service ever. Dr. Tra Mi is AMAZING. I went there about a week ago for an eye exam and I was simply shocked by how easy and great everything went. She owns the place with her sister and their office is very modern and they use the most advanced technology. The rooms were open and very clean and I loved the overall vibe of the place. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and helpful too. I loved that Dr Tra Mi explained everything as she was doing it and she was very interested in getting to know me as well! She was telling me about my eye health and the importance of getting a yearly eye exam and I really appreciate when a doctor is transparent with their patients and explains to them all the steps and reasons behind their health. The eye exam was quick and easy, probably the BEST eye exam I've ever had (and I've had glasses for about 13 years now). When it came time to pick out my new glasses, Dr Tra Mi did an AMAZING job, she explained to me very thoroughly everything that my insurance covered and asked me if I was okay with all the prices she gave me (for glasses and lenses) before she went through with it. I always have a hard time picking out glasses for myself so I brought a friend but Dr Tra Mi helped me out with that too! She picked a few out and asked about my reactions to how I felt and then told me how she felt about them on my face and she ended up picking a style that I never would have considered for myself, but I absolutely LOVE them. She even told me the ones she didn't like on my face, which I really appreciated! I will be getting amazing new glasses thanks to her!! I went to see her sister Dr Lauren a few days later for a dilation and she, too, was very thorough! I felt extremely comfortable with both of them and completely trust the two of them. She takes the time to listen to you and answers any questions you might have in a way that is very easy to understand. She is caring and always pleasant to talk to. Dr. Truong is always very thorough in her exams. She made sure that I was qualified to have LASIK surgery and referred me to a qualified place to have this surgery. Dr. Truong's new office is fantastic! Our whole family has been seeing her for a few years and she is the BEST! She caught a potentially serious issue with my husband last year that we now keep a close eye on (no pun intended). Our family was at her office yesterday for our annual exams and she recommend she also see our 6 year old son. Since he's never seemed to have any problems with his vision I hadn't thought to get him an eye exam. Thank God she recommended it. She found a problem that could have led to him losing his vision. She got us in with an Opthamologist the same day that confirmed her diagnosis. We need to now take him in for CT scans and an MRI of the brain. Honestly, my son is completely asymptotic but thanks to Dr. Truong, whatever is causing his optical problem will be caught very early. Another note: the staff was very friendly.
