There was a lot of construction going on and the nature trail was closed, but there was still a nice route through residential streets and paved space. The traffic might be slightly overwhelming for home owners, but everyone was there for the physical activity and having a good time. This is one of the most beautiful parks I've had the pleasure of visiting. There are beautiful views, playgrounds and lawn space for children's play, plenty of parking, trails for walking/bike riding, several bridges, and large trees to compliment the fields. The park is well-kept as everyone here ensures cleanliness and top maintenance. As my dad and I sat down on the bench and soaked in our surroundings, we observed a plethora of activity which included some people flying drones, kids competing in the playground's obstacle course, elderly folks walking, dogs running amok, people racing toy cars, and a few people cycling. The positive energy and vibes were radiant. I'm glad we stopped by here. Definitely worth a visit in Charlotte!

This is a nice park to take kids to for something to do. They had signs saying you shouldn't enter the water in certain places, but people seemed to ignore those. Lots of laughs and splashing heard as we walked around. :) They have several restrooms which were pretty clean for the most part also, which was a good thing. Parking is plentiful, but how close you can park depends on how crowded it is. We were initially directed to an overflow lot but just as we got out of the car, some spaces opened up in the main lot so we were able to move. I believe you can also get on a chartered boat here to go on Lake Norman. Nice place, we will return.

The nibblings love the play areas. There's a good amount of parking and 2 entrances into the park. We normally enter from the Lakeview drive side. I love how they have areas for smaller kids to play. You don't have to worry so much about bigger kids hurting the smaller kids. The lake is nice but I don't like how there isn't a walkway around the lake. There are rocks dividing the lake from the grass but I would like a more defined area to walk around the lake. The park features playground and picnic sites that are directly on the lake as well as covered picnic shelters, restrooms and a beautiful scenic overlook. Friday nights are when the Carolina Show Ski Team puts on their free waterski shows. Note that parking is by permit only and the permits are not free. There is a pavilion with benches too which can make for some scenic picnics. In the summer, the park can get pretty busy but nothing unbearable as there is plenty of space. Make sure to be careful with parking as you need a Tega Cay parking pass and sometimes police will make rounds. The main attraction of the park is the sunset during the summer. Towards the back of the park, there are plenty of benches and swings that overlook most of Lake Wylies. As the sun sets, there is a perfect angle that makes for an amazing view. All in all, this park is worth a visit and makes for a fun, cheap outing.
