So after our first experience, which is typed up below, we ended up just hiring Eric to seed the…read moregrass for us. The quote he gave us was affordable and once we asked him to do it, he was very quick at getting us into his schedule. We let the weeds get out of hand again since the last time he helped us out, so we actually needed him to get rid of the weeds again before we could seed. He came one day and took out all the weeds himself. He also spray weed killer all over the yard. Left instructions on how to spray for weeds for one week. We needed to spray daily. Then he came back a week later and did the tilling of the yard, to get the dirt softened up. After that he had to haul away some dirt for us to the landfill as we had dug a hole for our trampoline to be in ground and had just piled it in the yard where the grass needed to go. Next he and his crew got the irrigation system set up. They brought in a trencher and dug the trenches for the pipes, connected everything, got the sprinklers hooked up, tested them, and then buried the pipes. He was able to connect the sprinklers to our watering system we already had on the house which was nice. When he finished, he graded and then seeded the yard, as well as put down the top soil. After the seeding, he watered the yard and then gave us instructions on how to care for the grass, what the watering schedule needs to be, and how long to stay off of it, etc. The whole process seemed long, but in reality it only took about 2 weeks, and that's only because he had to get the weeds out! He's fast, affordable, friendly, and good at communicating without trying to oversell you. He runs a really good and honest business and we'll definitely be hiring him again. I'll come back and add to my review after the grass is grown! We're very excited about it. First experience - beginning of summer We moved into a new house about a year before we hired Eric. The backyard was not done. Just dirt. We weren't ready to fix it up right away so we left it. Then the rain and and the MUD. ‍‍ And then after the mud came the MASSIVE INFLUX OF WEEDS!! Weeds of every shape and kind! Our poor dogs were constantly covered in burs and we hAd to go through their fur every time they came inside. Our kids couldn't play out there either! Anyways, we found Eric on yelp, hired him to clean up the backyard and get rid of all the weeds. He and his crew came, stayed for a few hours, and it was like a brand new yard! They even put the weeds in our green bin for us! We really liked how he handled business. He's quick, affordable, and a nice guy as well. After hiring him for the weed removal, we decided we would ask him about seeding grass. He was very open with suggestions, and even went as far as to explain the exact process of what we would need to do, the order of things, etc. My husband was considering doing it himself at this point, and Eric was very helpful and provided a bunch of great tips and info on how to get us going. Our garage door needed to be repaired. We were only able to close it half way. Plus, it was…read moreraining, so we needed to have it repaired a.s.a.p. I called up Yolo Garage, and spoke with Fernando the owner. I told him what was the issue. He immediately, booked an appointment to have a repair person come to our house that same day, to take a look at the garage door, to determine what could be the problem. That afternoon, Javier came over to examine what caused the garage door to stop functioning. In a matter of minutes, he informed me what was the problem, and what needed to be done to fix it, and the total cost to do the repair. I agreed to have him repair it. He quoted me a fair price. Javier said he had all the parts to fix it in about an hour. I was relieved to hear this. After about an hour, the repair had been completed. He explained what the repair entailed, and what he did to repair it. Javier did a fantastic job! The garage door is working perfectly again. I'll definitely, be calling Fernando again, when it's time to perform the one year maintenance, and any other problem that may occur with our garage door. I'm planning in the near future, of replacing ou existing door with a new automatic garage door, that's operated by a Genie. I'll be calling Yolo Garage to have that done. I called Yolo Garage to replace a Viking board that I thought was defective on my driveway gate…read more Fernando did the replacement, but this did not successfully address the issue I was experiencing. He suspected the problem with the motor and not the board and offered to either troubleshoot the new board installation with the manufacturer or install a new motor. I went down a different path and opted to install a completely new system rather than repair the old one. Fernando was happy to accommodate any request that I had and did not want to push me in any particular direction. He was thoughtful and professional, and the quality of his work was superb. He even went out of his way to address issues from the previous installation. We will definitely be using Yolo Garage Door and Fernando for all of our gate and garage door needs-- I highly recommend them!
