So far, I really like Rooted Table! It's super cute inside--very café style, so it's perfect if you want to knock out some work while grabbing a bite, or just sip coffee and catch up with friends. I'm not vegan, but I do enjoy vegan food here and there. I ordered the taco salad and my friend got the crab cakes, plus we tried the crystal blue drink. That blue drink was bomb--really good and refreshing. The crab cakes were served salad style, and if you love kale, you'll probably love them. I wasn't big on the dressing because I don't like sweet dressings, but if that's your thing, you'd probably be all over it. Now the taco salad... so good!!!! I just wish it had red onions and more chips, but otherwise I'd give it a solid 8/10. Definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

The food was delicious, and it was evident that the ingredients were high-quality, fresh, and lovingly prepared. The restrooms are spotless, and an eatery's level of bathroom maintenance says a lot about it. A word of caution: avoid eating at places if the restrooms are unclean, as this indicates that the establishment's other safety standards are also subpar. There are many plants, which is a good thing, and the atmosphere is retro to the 1960s. Their prices are excellent value for the money. There's a variety of seating options in this small space including high tops, upolstered chairs groups, and regular tables for two to four. Tables can be joined if there's a bigger group. Ordering is at the counter and they will call your name or bring your food to the table. The menu is impressive and entirely vegan! To the three esses-- salads, soups, and sandwiches add smoothies, snacks, bowls, and treats. All sound good. Today I ordered a cup of sweet potato chili with lentils, pintos, black beans, tomato, peppers and of course the sweets. It had a spicy kick, but not too much. Delicious. It came with a small slice of sourdough toast, which was just sourdough. I also ordered 1/2 of a grilled cashew cheese sandwich, also on sourdough. First of all, you can't go wrong with a locally owned restaurant where every single time I go in there, one of the owners is present. The staff is friendly and are helpful with recommendations so if you are unfamiliar with plant-based/vegan menu they will be able to help. The focus on locally sourced plant based options is great regardless if you are a vegan or not! They have wonderful coffee and coffee alternatives. I personally love the Rishi mocha with oat milk. I have made it my mission to try all the food items on the menu and nothing has disappointed. A small quaint restaurant in countryside village that serves plant based food. I took one of my coworkers to the Rooted Table as she follows a plant based diet and was wanting to give them a try. It was her birthday so I treated her to lunch. It's is a very small cafe with only 4-5 tables of seating. The staff was friendly and the food was quite good. I am not on a plant based diet but still enjoyed my meal. It would not be a go to restaurant for me but could easily see it to be one for those who follow a plant based lifestyle. I loved all the food I tried and would comeback for the chickpea salad and the blue juice. Plus the tofu sandwich is so fresh and filling. Don't sleep on the blue juice which is like a liquid vitamin drink. The owners are sweet and caring and clearly hardworking, plus the vision they have to support health is top notch. I think this is Omaha's first fully plant based restaurant and one of few vegan restaurants. They're on a test menu until they fully open. We got the hummus and avocado and bruschetta sandwich.
