The folks here are not the friendliest, but I'm not here to make friends. We are new to the area and we've been there three times so we could get a good profile of their three major categories of offerings: pizza, subs, and pasta. For pizza, we tried one with red onions and olives, and a sausage pizza - excellent pizza, fantastic prices. Subs were inexpensive and delicious. Now to the sad part: pasta dishes. We had lasagna and manicotti, and neither of us were happy with our meal. There was a ridiculous amount of cheese and little flavor to the rest of the dish. The sauce was meh. I was raised on east coast Italian food (NY/NJ) and had Italian grandparents. Something is definitely missing with their pasta game. It is affordable and likely good enough for the neighborhood, but their pasta dishes disappointed. We will be back for sandwiches and pizza. They have a large dining room and a robust takeout business. Their prices do not break the bank. There were several large tables with happy families chowing down. Dudes at the counter: pretend like you want us here. Mumbling and rolling your eyes at customers is not welcoming. You should smile more! You'll wait a long time if you don't call and order ahead, so don't be dumb like us. read more

The NY slice is large, with a fresh and crispy crust and great tasting sauce and cheese. No toppings are needed to enjoy a slice or two. My personal favorite though is the Sicilian pizza. This pizza is thick, cheesy and with a great tasting & crispy outer crust. My go-to topping is pepperoni & I've never had a bad slice. If you aren't wanting pizza, do yourself a favor & get The steak & cheese special. It's a steak hoagie, with cheese, onion, mushroom & green pepper. It's no lie when I tell you, it is the best tasting hoagie I've ever had. Loaded with steak, melted cheese & sautéed onions, mushrooms & green peppers, the flavors are phenomenal, you can't go wrong with this one. Finally, the owner is kind, hardworking & very generous. Customer Service is horrible. I called to place a order and got the rudest response asking simply how much a certain dish would feed a certain amount of people. To be told to "hurry up and order" or even being told that "I don't know how much people eat" was very unnecessary. I will never put my money or time into this business again. We wandered in here after seeing good reviews. Thought they had table service but realized you order at the counter type place. I was a bit surprised that the food wasn't served hot, even after waiting awhile for it to come out. Tasted the pizza and while it tasted ok, would've been much better if served hot rather than luke warm. The eggplant was mushy with an over abundance amount of cheese making for very messy eats. Amazing food and service! The NY slice (my personal favorite) came out and was massive, as you can see from the paper plate comparison. Perfectly thin with light sauce, lots of cheese and quality pepperoni. The crust was airy and crisp, perfection. I would highly recommend coming here for a good dinner! I live near this place so I go every now and again. I've always found the food to be okay, not great but certainly not bad. My low rating is primarily because the service is so bad. The other day I called to order a sub for takeout. Knowing that it sometimes takes a while for an order to be ready I asked how long it would be. The owner seemed annoyed and said "25, 30, maybe 40 minutes". To make a meatball sub. I showed up after 40 minutes and quickly paid. I then watched them make my sub, put it in the oven, and then finally I got it 50 minutes after I ordered. I won't go back again. read more

Classic West Wilson staple I've been eating here on and off since the store opened and regardless of how many years or months stand in between my visits, the food quality never wanes. The stromboli and chicken parm are THE BOMB! While the service is a little "eating at somebody's house so help yourself" -- the food and taste make up for the less than stellar atmosphere. First time at this restaurant and actually decided upon them as a result of Yelp reviews and glad I did. I highly recommend this location and will definitely patronize it again when in town! I am into town to celebrate mama's birthday - ordered pizzas & wings and everyone absolutely loved the food. The pizza was piping hot, very tasty, the wings were amazing. The pizza wasn't like the bigger chains soaked in tomato sauce but made like authenticate pizza should be. The atmosphere inside was spacious and located in a desirable location. And most importantly it was clean! This is a fun place to go! It is delicious reasonable priced food, with friendly people! There is an interesting mix of people in this restaurant each time I go. Recently, there was a table of 25 or more ladies that meet there once a month, and having the time of their life. The sandwiches, calzones, and pizza are made right out in front of you and are delicious every time, at a very reasonable price. I meet a girlfriend there once a week to catch up with each other. I live in the area and go here almost once a week. The pizza's are great, subs are fresh with great tasting bread and the calzones are delicious and big! Everything is pretty much prepared as you order it. I've never had a bad meal. It is basic and not fancy however, but a good reliable local restaurant. Most of the staff and owner are nice but not overly helpful but think that just may be their personality. Basically you place your order and it comes to your table when ready. It is not the best pizza I've ever eaten but I really like it and for this area it is hard to beat. Go there at least once!! read more
