Outstanding pizza and great customer service!! This was my second time visiting and it was just as good as my first visit!

Very very disappointed in our order. The pizzas were so dry and as you can see the crusts were burnt. So hard to even chew we ended throwing them away. Thankfully the Caesar salad was good so we salvaged dinner... We have ordered from IPP before so maybe it was just a bad night?? The sad thing is finding a good pie outside of the commercial ones that are in their own category and not very authentic. So sad this will probably be our last time ordering from IPP and understand I don't want my money back, a response or apology. It happens when you order delivery you're taking a chance whatever that looks like.... Hope the best for IPP! read more

I have always been a fan of Italian Pie, they have some of the best pizza in Dacula. Tonight I ordered an 18" Meat Lover pizza. When my husband got home with the pizza, I discovered that it was not what I ordered. I called back to let them know that they gave me the wrong pizza. After explaining the issue, the young man says yeah we've been having a lot of issues with our online ordering. He then says come back and I will "probably" be able to help you. My husband goes back with the pizza and was asked by the cook what the issue was. My husband explained what happened and asked for either a refund or the correct pizza. The cook got very defensive and starts yelling at my husband saying he's the cook, he did not make a mistake. My husband tries to diffuse the situation by agreeing and told him that we did not receive what we ordered, it must have been a computer error. My husband called me and told me to try to order the same thing again online and see what happens. I tried ordering again and this time it said my order was $1,600. I sent the screenshot to my husband so he could show them that their system was faulty. At this point the cook starts cussing and tells my husband to get the FUCK out. Multiple times I have ordered online ahead of time and my order was not even started by the time I went to pick it up. Today, my husband and I both tried calling to place an order and no one picked up the phone for almost 20 minutes. I eventually ordered when I got there and had to wait for my pizza, instead of quickly picking it up and heading home after a 12 hour shift. read more

I have been a big fan of Italian pie for the past 7 years, but seriously a visit at this location today at 3 pm on a Wednesday with 5 staff members and only one other patron (a guy eating a slice) has me thinking customer service is non-existent here. Today we came here and ordered a large cheese pie with basil. The staff member was friendly, and she took my order. We are waiting and waiting, and the place is completely dead, with zero customers because the other guy left. They had two-pickup orders and they were picked up in the first 5 minutes of us being there. After 10 minutes I am wondering what is going on and noticed that the cashier goes to type on the kiosk screen and puts in an order that is sent to the printer at the pizza station. No one was calling in any orders, so I knew that she must have forgotten to send my order to the pizza station printer. Exact at 20 minutes the pizza comes out and the manager comes and asks if everything is okay, and apologizes for the wait. Five people working, no orders, and they can't own the fact they accidentally forgot to make our food? I worked as a kitchen manager and would have taken responsibility and made things right. Anyhow, total lack of accountability here, and the dough is now extremely thin, about the thickness of a quarter, except for the crust at the edges is normal. I have eaten Italian pie dozens and dozens of times and it has never been this thin. It typically takes about 10 minutes to bake these. On a positive note, the Pizza was good, though one person could easily eat an entire large cheese pie themselves. After this experience at the Dacula location. I will not be visiting here anymore. The only location I can recommend is the one at Lawrenceville Highway, they are always consistent. It appears that reviewer Kevin J. had the same experience at the Dacula location too. Then look at reviewer Eric B, who ordered a Calzone that came out completely burnt. I don't see how a company can have several locations, but all of the locations do whatever they want. Consistency and excellent customer service are key. EVERY single employee needs to be trained at their Lawrenceville Highway because that seems to be the only location that is doing something right. read more

I have ordered from this particular location, for a minimum of 10 years. I have always been incredibly happy. It's one of the few places that I never have to ask for extra stuff., Because it's always loaded! However, I ordered at the end of the evening, maybe 30 minutes before they closed, and did it online, my pizza was not what I ordered. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, with pineapple added to it. What I got was green pepper and banana pepper, with pineapple and no pepperoni. And, even though it was not what I ordered, it was NOT even covered with the amount of toppings that I have Always received, in the past. This is the first time I have called ANY business, concerning being unhappy. Sadly, it made the experience even worse. I was told that the only thing they could do was make me another pizza, today. And, if I did not want one today, that was all they could do, for me. Sadly, I won't be back. And, it's not really about the money, it's about the lack of caring about their customer. Italian Pizza Pie was once a true local treasure, and as you can see from our previous 5-star review, at one point we often ate lunch here several times a week in addition to ordering take-out pies. Fortunately IPP apparently survived Covid's financial strain that many small businesses didn't, and as a matter-of-fact have grown to over 6 locations according to their web site. Though unfortunately, this growth & success came at a price, and the onetime great food, customer service and attention to detail that was so consistent has largely gone, and the wonderful manager has apparently been promoted (great choice, but unfortunately there's no-one to backfill his 'watching the shop' like he did) as when we see him it's only for a few moments before he runs out, presumably to go peek-in on another location. The pizzas and stromboli are still usually good, just not as consistently so, thus it's a little bit hit-or-miss. I'm TAKING OFF a star and updating this review as a result of our stopping-by for lunch last Friday just after 3PM. Although the sign right by the register states that lunch is served 'til 4, the teenager at the register dismissed it saying the sign was wrong and it's "been like that for over a year" (suggesting the wrong sign has been in place for over a year, but they haven't fixed it AND won't honor it). Sad to see the quality and customer service that once made this local pizza joint extraordinary deteriorate with growth, but it's still a solid, if comparatively overpriced option vs the many chain locations nearby (protip: check your order before you leave to make sure it's not burnt or incorrect). read more

For #FirstTasteFriday, I decided upon this place. What's so crazy is I've never visited this place and just drove by it for years without ever giving them a thought and I was so glad that I did. When I first walked in I had looked on their above menu to see what all they offered. Of course pizza was the main thing as well as calzones and other fine edibles. I also noticed they offered wings, which I wasn't going to get at first as most pizza places bake their wings and not fry them. Just for GP I decided to ask them how they cooked their wings, were they baked or fried?? He said fried. Ruh Roh was what I said in my mind. Now I have to try these wings. The only problem I had which I can't really take off for was the timing. As the restaurant wasn't crowded, I had a 10-15 minute wait on the wings. Now when you're used to going places that get them out to you in 5 minutes, that's one hell of a change, especially if that's what you're used to. So I waited patiently while I was on the phone anyway, so no harm no foul. Once I did get them, I was HIGHLY IMPRESSED!! I ordered the mild, lemon pepper wings and they were pretty fabulous. They could run with some of the other well known wing spots and that's no joke. I'll change my rating after I try their pizza. If the wings are any indication of how their pizza will taste, I'll start going and getting a pizza wing combo. As of now, this is my new go to spot for wings. read more

Sorry but I cannot order anymore from this location. This leaving their store is just a big insult to Italians everywhere. Are they blind or just want to piss you off. My friend owned a pizza restaurant but moved, this would have never left his restaurant. I'm not paying for this Hockey puck they sent me. It's in my garbage can where it belonged at their shop. I've had it with this outfit. We like the food but the service and overall arrogance by the counter help can't be tolerated. Today was the last straw when we tried to have them add a meatball to kids Alfredo and they said they couldn't. After not getting any valid reason why, we cancelled the $125 order and called Johnny's down the street which accommodated everything. I hope you figure out how to treat customers before you have none left. I regret supporting this organization through Covid and doing everything I could to help a local business survive. This place has amazing pizza. It's December 2020 during a Global pandemic, when infection rates couldn't be higher. The staff doesn't even attempt to protect customers or themselves. They are not wearing masks, or gloves. Masks are not recommended for entry. They do not have a curbside pickup option, which is ok. I would feel comfortable going inside if safety measures were being practiced. I walked in, and an employee was on break, and jumped up and went straight for my order without washing his hands first. Ordered a Italian Sub this afternoon and had Grubhub deliver. Ordered Mayo, no mayo added. They charge .60 for each topping. Not specialty toppings, regular toppings. Lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles. $2.40 on top of the $8 sandwich price. Very little meat on the sandwich, the meat that was there was spoiled. I took a bite and spit it out. Went back and had them refund my money. They only refund the list price and not the taxes. When I asked for my refund the guy literally sighed like I was bothering him. Hate to do this because have ordered literally hundreds of pies from the Lawrenceville store for my work and had nothing but great food and service. But ordered Uber eats today from Dacula and was brought not only the wrong pizza, but was also missing one entire pizza. When I called to get things rectified I was treated extremely rudely by the manager on duty, called a liar, and told that I didn't know how to use the Uber eats app correctly. I was not offered to have correct pies delivered - instead I was told I could come get them or shove it and I would have to take it up with Uber eats if I wanted a resolution. I hereby resolve your company has lost at least $300 of business a month from my company, I won't reward bad customer service. read more

Outstanding place! Been here a few times already, each time the staff is friendly and always ask to please come back and if everything was satisfactory. My wife enjoys the fact that you can buy by the slice, which around Atlanta seems to be rather difficult. Yes, their pizza is good but my staple here is their Spaghetti and Meatballs! Yeah! I know what you are thinking, get off yer arse, boil some water and fix your own! however, Italian Pie makes a mean and rather large dish. I usually don't write reviews but this one deserves one. I ordered the garlic parmesan wings and a caesar salad. The wings were disgusting. First, they look like they aren't even done cooking (but they were). There was no flavor whatsoever on the wings. I had a plate of grease. My 10 year old son can season food better than this. My salad came with no dressing on it at all. I have never ordered a caesar salad from any place and it came with no dressing on it. To make it worse I paid extra for an extra caesar dressing. Guess what? No caesar dressing pack. They should really be ashamed of the food that they sent out to someone who paid their money. Never will I order from here again. read more

Continue to give this place another try. As I said in my earlier reviews, I went to the original location religiously and loved this pizza place. Loved the Dacula location for some time, but felt it had fallen off quite a bit over the past year or so. Tried again tonight and again, this place messed up: - Got the order wrong. Gave us the wrong thing - Virtually no sauce on the pizza, very dry - The crust isn't like it should be or like it was before. Instead of crisp on the outside and Fluffy inside it is now hard throughout, a big letdown as the crust was once our favorite part. I'm not a pizza snob. I want this place to be great because It is in my backyard vs the Lawrenceville one which is far away. Can someone come in and teach this new manager that skimping on sauce doesn't save money because we just don't order! read more
