Holy smokes the portions at this place! Definitely come in hungry and expect to take leftovers home. We were here on vacation and really enjoyed the quick walk from our hotel to come to dinner. Service was great too!

The Marco Polo spaghetti was amazing. Generous portions, great ambience, and I enjoyed every moment. Our server Fero was very attentive and did a good job of letting us know it was available.

Better than I remembered it to be! It's been awhile since I was here. Love the variety of pastas they have on their menu - Sugo Di Pomodoro (Red Sauce), Alla Panna (Cream Sauce), Sugo Di Pomodoro Cremoso (Rosé Sauce), Con Aglio e Olio. Although ingredients are about the same for most sauce bases, it tastes very good and homemade. Seafood might be smaller but it can do for its price. Pasta are cooked perfectly al dente. They offer half and full portions with very little price difference so definitely worth getting the full portions. Service is good and quick. Call in advance to make reservations as lines can get long.

The service was great and you can tell that the staff that we encountered really loves their job and interacting with customers. The food portions are huge, the wife and I had bariatric surgery a little over 2.5years now so we were able to order one meal and a cocktail each. We were both full and had enough to take home and have another meal the next night. The ambiance is cozy and not overly loud, the dining area is spacious. The decor though looks dated but not bad. The price even in this economy was respectable, I recommend stopping by if you're looking for Italian cuisine.

I wanted to give it 4 stars but after going through my review again I settled on 3. This restaurant has made a good impression because of the excellent service, from the time I called in to make a reservation, to the greeting when my party entered the front door, to the server who helped us with the menu and made us feel welcomed and well cared for. I came here with 3 friends and, after we saw how big the pasta dishes were, we ordered 3 items to share: the Della Casa salad (large), the Toscana with penne (full), and the Alla Creola with whole wheat spaghetti (full). Both the pasta dishes were great, they were hot, tasty, pasta were cooked to the right consistency. They were so good we emptied the plates quickly. The salad was a little bit disappointing, it was fresh and tasty, but it was much smaller than we expected. It also had little tomato, cucumber, and peppers; most of the salad was lettuce and it was not worth the $22 cost. The server recommended this particular salad to us when she found out we were sharing, she said the other ones would be too small to split amongst 4 people. I also find the bread disappointing. It was cold, lack texture, and uninviting. Another reason I lowered the rating was the difficulty in finding parking. We arrived around 6:20 p.m. on a Saturday evening and there were only reserved spots belonging to other closed businesses left, we were not sure if we could park there so we circled around 3 times before we found parking.

Food was amazing! Large portions a tasty food. Our server was knowledgeable on vegetarian options and had great suggestions. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, big restaurant and no wait time at the time we went.

We enjoyed our recent visit here after not having been for a very long time. We had wonderful attentive service from our server. Ordered the Italian feast which offered 3 choices of 4 items - opted for the Spaghetti Bolognese, Chicken Parm, and Fettucine Alfredo (other option was Lasagne). Also added the meatball appy. The pastas tasted fantastic and properly sauced. The spaghetti noodles were thin, more like a cappelini, but was done to a nice al dente as was the fettucine. The Alfredo sauce was rich and creamy. The chicken was a good sized serving and cooked nicely. The meatball appy tasted great - fresh, tangy, marinara that was perfectly sopped up with the complimentary bread. Though a little rich at $6 per meatball. If you're looking for a place with classic Italian homestyle fare, then stop by Italian Tomato for your pasta cravings. We will definitely return to try the pizza!

Huge portions but lacking regular extra care. $10 for two sad looking meatballs? No thank you!

Oh dear....this restaurant has been one of my husbands favourites for years....I always preferred Antons but my husband loved Italian tomato...but....I think we are now going back to Antons. While their portions are good and large....they have increased their prices and forgot about the details! I ordered the spaghetti Bolognese with extra meatballs, you used to get 3 large ones for $8.99, now you get two very sad small ones for $10....really? We are in South Van and always have to travel 20-30 mins to get take out, they don't deliver. Neither does Antons. However, the last couple of times ordering from them, with their prices so much higher and 'add ons' like free bread and butter with your order now gone. We won't order from them as often.

I hate giving low ratings to establishments that have been around forever . I mean they've gone through a lot , especially the last few years right ? Not to mention there are so few Italian restos in Richmond ! But I really feel this is warranted based on a recent visit in which we both left bewildered and ultimately disappointed . The chain of unfortunate events started when we walked in and immediately noticed how dark and dated the interior is . Pretty sure it's not for ambience but more to hide its age . Then came the table bread and believe it or not it's literally stone cold . That totally sucked cos the outside temperature was almost freezing that evening . The " Siciliana " pizza we ordered came with a few paltry , lower quality pieces of proscuitto just spread on top and the whole pie tbh tasted like it's from , say , Pizza Pizza . Not kidding . And lastly the " Paesana " pasta , which btw is supposed to be in a light dill cream sauce , has got to be one of the saltiest pasta dishes I've tasted in all of 2022 . In a way I think they're trying too hard to become the Richmond version of Anton's by serving sizable pasta portions but failed flat since the prices here are quite a bit more . As you can imagine by now anything that can go sideways pretty much did , except maybe the service which was courteous and helpful . That + nostalgia = 2 stars .

What a great place! We ate here while stuck in Vancouver due to the Westjet strike. We could see it from our hotel room, and it was a little pink building. We read other reviews that said to not let the exterior fool you, this was a great place to eat. They were so right! I'm glad we took the chance! So clean inside, attentive staff, delicious food! It was pretty empty when we got there right after opening but by the time we left, the place was getting packed. Do not miss out on this gem!

Food came out quick unlike what previous reviews said, but I didn't like that one entree came out much earlier than my partners - so naturally I waited for her's and by that time, the uni sauce had kind of thickened up a bit too much and the pasta had clumped a bit. Croquetes were tiny - $8/ croquette. They were nice and crispy, but the tomato sauce tasted a bit plain. Would I return? The service was also great, with multiple people checking in on us. The corkage, at $20, is very reasonable and the restaurant even comp'ed our tiramisu! We will miss it once it is gone. The food was quite decent. I thought the prices were a bit inflated for just pasta, but the portion size was pretty massive -- most of us took leftovers to go. The sauces in general were a bit bland and the pasta was definitely cooked to beyond al dente, which isn't my preference for dried pasta. That said, the toppings were generous, especially for the linguine crab that I ordered (would highly recommend!). Come by before they close permanently!

It was an unmemorable experience due to what most restaurants & businesses at that time were trying to get over. The lingering effects of the pandemic were devastating to this industry & others. What had been done to all, especially the restaurant industry - shortage of staff, difficulty rehiring, cost to run businesses escalating rapidly etcetera ... made things difficult to get over. So I found eating there at that time to be kinda boring. Move over to today - 2025 & voila - what a difference. There's something on point about the vibe here at this location - Kitsilano (Kits) Beach. Our server was awesome & funky. The Kale salad delivers 100% on taste = tremendous! The Gnocchi - munch, chew & chew = ahhhh. The Sausage & Chili pizza was done right! The crust was thin & tasty. The ingredients were delicious. This one has a slight kick to it. We had a splendid time eating at the communal table (full house this afternoon & only table available or wait 1 hour) & thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The hostess said the tables in the covered patio were reserved but the group won't be coming for an hour so we can eat there if we want but we have to leave before the bigger party gets there. She recommended we sit further away on hard uncomfortable seats in the wind. What the heck? It was uncomfortable then another waitress with light brown hair came by and said "is there a problem?" I said "we would prefer to sit in the covered patio" She said it was okay but kind of made kind of a big deal about it. Treating me like I was being difficult when actually I was very polite considering how they were treating us. Reminding us repeatedly that a larger more important party is coming in an hour and treating us like we were a burden. It honestly just seemed like the servers are only thinking only about their tips and not wanting to serve a small family. She ignored our table the whole time. I didn't get any Parmesan. Because she never stopped to ask how the meal was. The server had someone bring the food. It wasn't even busy. She just didn't care. Our server basically did nothing but avoid us. The only time she was remotely friendly was when she handed my spouse the bill. Obviously fishing for tips. She asked what we are going to do after this and as I answered she looked away like she couldn't give an F. These bad servers need to go. Bad service always ruins a business. It really doesn't matter if the food is good when the servers are rude. We won't be coming back.
