Heard positive reviews about this pizza place for a while and finally got to try it I am not so much of a pizza lover but i have to say their pizzas are very good. Crusts are very well made and baked We ordered the serpent pizza and the japanese pizzas. Both have generous amount of toppings and the wasabi mayo is a great addition for the japanese pizza. The price of the serpent sounds high for a pizza. However the anount of seafood (5 lobster tails, prawns and smoked salmon) on the pizza make it worth the price. I was visiting the city for work and got to see my close friend as well. She wanted to show me a different side of the city, so she took me to Steveston and suggested that we go here for dinner. I love seafood, so it was an easy yes! It was easy to find, as there were already a few people waiting to place their order. It also helped that the delicious smell travelled like the wind around that area! Before we got there, we decided on which pizza to order to save time. When it was our turn, we were greeted by a young friendly lady at the cashier. We ordered the Water pizza ($37- which has shrimp, real crabmeat and basil pesto). Then she let us know that it will take 15-20 minutes to make it, so we can either relax in the dine-in area (located beside it) or walk around and come back then. We thought it would be a great idea to relax in the dine-in area, but as soon as we entered, it was too hot. There were not any windows that one could open nor any fans available to make the area feel cooler, so we left and walked around. When the time was up, I went to pick up the order and my friend looked for a bench where we could sit and eat. Finally, we sat down and ate a few slices- both of us agreed that it was delicious. The sauce and the toppings were fresh and generous, so we agreed that the high price point was fair. The only part which we didn't like was how thin the base was- it could not hold the sauce and the toppings very well, so we had to hold each slice well (otherwise, we lose everything on the slice). I almost wouldn't review this place because I'm not a seafood person. So, this is really an ordinary pizza place with a sitting area next door but they became famous because of their seafood pizza. They give you pizza to go with chopsticks. Most people who come here are Asians who love the seafood. The main seafood pizza has HUGE portions of lobsters, prawns, and some smoked salmon and other seafood on it. It's not bad but J didn't have the lobster. The pizza itself is very meh but that's not why you came here is it? Definitely come here if you love seafood and you want a good deal on lobsters. The rest of it is just kinda meh though. read more

Pleasantly surprised by the pie we ordered here; we've been to Steveston many times, but have always overlooked this corner joint in favor of more... adventurous dining experiences during our trips to Canada. However, having just arrived in Canada earlier in the day, checking into our hotel, and wanting to keep things chill and relaxing while we recovered from our arduous drive, we grabbed an Italian to-go, and took it back to our hotel room across the street. Thicker with toppings than I would have anticipated, and pretty darn good. Despite their being three of us, we only were able to finish half of it...the remaining slices would serve as my breakfast for the next few days, so if you want value for your Canuck Buck, this is a pretty darn good choice, if you ask me! Service was friendly, and the pizza was ready a good five minutes faster than our quoted 15-minute wait time, so they're efficient as well! Out of all the meals I ate during our week long trip, this one got the most mileage, and gave the most satisfaction, both up front, and over time. This had been one of the most disgusting pizzas i have yet to have.we ordered the Water pizza. I think it should be renamed Red Tide pizza. It said it was made with shrimp and real crab. Here is the pizza i got. Soggy crust , prawns.the pre cooked ones you get at superstore. The crab was from a can , it smelt foul and was actually blue crab from asia. It was tasteless except for the nasty crab . After each of us trying one slice i went to the counter withe the rest and told the manager what we agreed was the grosses pizza we had ever tried . I was a little hesitant checking out this place in the wintertime because a lot of reviews say this is a takeout only spot. That was my first impression too when I walked by Steveston and saw this place to have a very tiny ordering area. However, they actually have a small indoor dining room for you to enjoy the pizza, a saving grace for this winter visit when it was below freezing temperatures outside. We got the Serpent which featured smoked salmon, shrimp, and 5 lobster tails. For 120CAD (after the price increase), this was still a crazy deal. The pizza is fairly large and it was a lot of food to share even amongst 4 people. They load up some potatoes on the pizza that made it more filling, and the generous amounts of seafood is definitely no joke. The seafood is plentiful and fresh, and I still think about it as I write this review. In the US, a few lobster tails at a restaurant already costs as much if not more than this pizza itself, so we were in for a treat. Parking is plentiful around here and it is really close to the harbor so it is a good mini trip out to check out this place! read more

During my visit in Vancouver, a friend took me to this pizza place at Steveston Harbour which is a port area of south Richmond. Pizza wasn't on radar of food to try in Vancouver nor is Vancouver known for pizza. But after seeing pictures of the pizza of this place I had to try it. Steveson is a take out pizza joint with unique and creative pizzas. They have pizza classics like pepperoni and Hawaiian. But I was here for the seafood pizza. I've never had seafood on my pizza and I love seafood so I was looking forward to eat this. I ordered Butterfly pizza which is categorized under The Castle. The toppings on the Butterfly are Shrimp, prawns and smoked salmon. It was $65 and 12 inch pizza. They have other seafood pizza that comes with lobster and/or crab legs. The Butterfly was the cheapest one of the options. The most expensive one was the C6 for $850; they literally put caviar on that sh*t. The Butterfly come it's a big box because the pizza is stackeddd. It was about a 15-20 min wait but it was totally worth it. The topped with huge pieces of shrimp, prawns, and smoked salmon. This was my first time eating a seafood pizza and this pizza was sooo good. Eating beside the harbour while the sun was setting was chefs kiss. They loaded it with shrimp and the smoked salmon was the perfect amount. The pizza was thin crust which I appreciated because it didn't get full as quickly and got to more pizzas. I don't know what cheese they use but it was so good too. It had that perfect golden brown charring. Everything about the pizza was so good. I would give it a 9/10. Highly recommend. read more

I'm from Los Angeles California and I came all the way to Richmond to try this pizza and it didn't disappoint! 5 lobster tails, jumbo prawns, smoked salmon, and more shrimp. It was delicious. There were 3 of us and we could not finish though we normally consume small portions. I would come back again and the pizza was $126. Came on a Sunday afternoon and didn't have an issue looking for parking a couple blocks down. I do think the dining area would have been nice if it was connected to the ordering area because they had to buzz people inside but the door gets kinda stuck or the employees don't notice someone wants to enter. This is kinda inconvenient for its customers who have to help open the door. I'm glad that they have a water dispenser and restroom for us to wash our hands though. There's a decent amount of seating and I wish they had better lighting so my pictures don't come out so warm But overall, food was solid. read more

Called ahead and ordered one of their signature Serpent pizza, and it was ready for pick up when we got there 20 minutes later. The pizza came in a black box that looked kind of like a big shoebox. It was quite the exuberant-looking pizza, with 4 cheese baked lobster tails, a whole bunch of shrimp, some smoked salmon slices and arugula on top of mashed potatoes on a thin crust pizza. The lobster tails were decent sized and smelled great. The taste was pretty decent too. At $88 including tax, this was the most expensive pizza I've ever had, but considering the amount of seafood on the pizza, it's not that expensive. Three of us only finished 3/4 of the pizza. From best to mediocre or worse. How low the once mighty Steveston Pizza Co. has fallen. We have been enjoying their Pizza for many years since the opening. I always justified the higher prices with the quality control and consistency of the product. After ordering a couple of Pizzas last Saturday (Aug.16) we were quite shocked when I opened the boxes about the appearance, quality and taste. It looked more like a warmed-up Pizza from the night before. It was curious to me, that on a Saturday night I was the only customer in the store for pick-up as I was used to sometimes long line-ups. Well, the answer was given when I got home and opened the boxes. Needless to say, that I will not go back for another purchase at the Pizza Co. as there are now multiple new alternatives in Steveston to try. In this age and time costumers are not easily forgiving after a bad experience. Steveston has a history of eating places that came and went because of substandard quality and management. I can see that Steveston Pizza Co. is following the same path. As I am writing this review, I just learned that the Steveston Pizza Co. was sold to new owners. Wanted to check this place out after seeing it featured on Strictly Dumpling, and it did not disappoint! We got the storm (shrimp, crab legs, lobster tail, smoked salmon) and it was even bigger than we expected. All the seafood was fresh and super tasty, and to my pleasant surprise the pizza underneath was pretty decent as well. It had good structural integrity despite being on the thinner side, and definitely was made with care instead of being an afterthought. The box it comes it is very cute and practical. I thought that it was well worth the price of 95$. If you want a show stopper for out of towners this is definitely the way to go. There was A LOT of shrimp on this pizza and it was very snappy and not overcooked. The lobster tails were also perfectly cooked and not chewy. My main problem with this pizza was there wasn't enough smoked salmon on it and too much potato which made it kind of heavy. Other than that I thought the flavours were pretty good and the dough was nice and chewy. I also wish there was a little more veggie to off balance the cheese. I really wanted to like the pizza, as this is a Steveston staple that I have had fond memories of. We got the water pizza, which took ~15 minutes to make, so not bad at all! While this is a take-out only establishment, there are plenty of communal tables across the street. Moving onto the pizza, we ordered the water pizza because we were enticed by the basil pesto. We were left disappointed when we opened the box and saw a pesto mayo, which if i had know, I likely would not have ordered this pizza. My first bite didn't really leave me wanting more- don't get me wrong, it was delicious but altogether, with the cheese and shrimp and salmon, the pizza was too rich and honestly a little one- noted. I wish there had been some acidity to cut through it all or some variety in texture (ie a pesto would have been nice lol). The one shining star was definitely the dough-despite alllllllll the toppings, the pizza dough help up like no other. It remained crunchy throughout (I guess that is some texture!) and the crispity- crunchity crust was probably my favourite part. The salmon in the pizza was also cooked nicely, but again, all the flavours sort of melded together into one flavour so I wish there would have been some other ingredients to help distinguish the shrimp from the salmon. While I generally am able to split a pizza with my partner quite easily, we ran into a road block when we had two slices left. The heaviness of the pizza really made it hard to finish and, had it not been for the crust, I would not have been able to finish the pizza. While this pizza wasn't our favourite, I would still be willing to go back and try again- probably one of the simpler ones like a marguerite. I had a hard time deciding what rating to give it but the quality of the dough, the cook of the salmon and the sheer AMOUNT of toppings on this dish left me wanting to give it 3 stars, despite the less than favourable taste of this one pizza. Ps service could have been better. we found it peculiar how the front staff didn't even bother greeting us when we walked in to order. She simply looked up and stared until we ordered and the only word we heard leave her mouth was "okay" before she handed us the machine...it was pretty uncomfortable. read more

Came here at the recommendation of one of our friends so we were hoping to have some great food. However the people at the register have no patience being in food service. Answering simple questions seem like an annoyance to them if you wanted clarification on their food. They also treat people unfairly from customer to customer. My group was waiting outside as well as a different group. As soon as their pizza was complete and ready, one employee at the register HAND DELIVERED it to them outside without even calling their name. Once ours was ready, no name was called again and they let it sit there without any kind of notification even though I was standing outside their door and window. What's the point in taking customer names if they aren't even going to be used. Get new employees at the register because the ones currently there just aren't the right fit. If you want food here, skip ordering at the register and do pick up to minimize the amount of time you spend here or avoid it altogether! It's not worth it. read more

SPOILER ALERT: we did not order the $100+ pizzas but their alternative average-priced options were amazing enough, I can't imagine how much tastier the hundred dollar pies would be.. For someone who lived in Steveston most of their life, it's shameful that I only got to trying Steveston Pizza a few months ago, during my quick visit home (I currently reside in Montreal, QC). If it wasn't for my mom, I likely would've gone another year without it again. Thankfully on my last night, she suggested we pick up some pizzas. We opted for one pescatarian pie, WATER (shrimp, salmon and basil pesto) and a carnivorous ones, ITALIAN. 2 pizzas was more than enough for 4 big-eaters, we even had morning leftovers. These "special" pizza were packed. When i say packed, i'm talking about taste and also volume. The amount of toppings on the pizza were above average in comparison to other places. I loved that despite the quantity, it was an easy eat - no messes! This makes me believe that they really know what they're doing. The service was incredibly efficient and fast. We were worried about a long line up, but despite having about 15 peoples' orders ahead of us, we received our pizza within 45 minutes.. The price for these pizzas are slightly above average but totally worth it. I've been meaning to try this place for years! They are known for their seafood pizza - they have a bougie one that's like $800! Pizzas are made to order. We went during COVID times in the summer so they were takeout only. We walked to Garry Point park and ate our pizza there. ⁣ Butterfly ($45) - shrimp, prawn & smoked salmon ⁣ ⁣ You can really tell they use high quality ingredients on their pizzas - the prawns were large, juicy and flavourful and they were generous with the toppings. Every seafood and pizza lover's dream come true! It's a small shop that leaves a big impact! My family and I are from out of town and were visiting relatives. We wanted to check this place out for lunch. The restaurant is in a corner spot with a private, small parking lot in the back. There's very limited parking on the streets, but If you let the staff know you're dining it, they'll let you park in the 15 minute parking spot without a problem! When you place your order, be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes. Next door they have limited seating for dining-in customers. It was fairly crowded and the bathroom was a bit dirty with toilet paper just all over the floor. The establishment also had an issue with changing the trash bags so when we finished our meals, there were pizza boxes and napkins just everywhere on the floor because trash was overflowing. My family and I ordered a seafood pizza with tiger prawns, crab claws, smoked salmon, lobster tail and fresh basil. I really appreciated the fact that they wedged the prawns out so you didn't have to peal the shell off. Definitely a generous portion and made a fulfilling lunch. The only thing I didn't like about the pizza was the fact that they loaded part of the foundation with so much mashed potatoes. This made every bite taste heavy and in my opinion, is totally unnecessary. Their prices are somewhat expensive as well (but you are paying for seafood)! Honestly forgot exactly what happened in my past interactions but had left a meh impression of this place even before this most recent incident. I've ordered pre-Covid and the staff was pretty rude in their interactions while I was waiting and during Covid they were even worse. Once my friend and I ordered two pizzas and the first one was okay and the second one (forgot which one it was, might not offer it anymore) which was one featuring all veggies was super gross, mushy, and not appetizing at all. I didn't really bother to leave a review then because I'm like eh taste is subjective and I guess customer service doesn't need to be amazing for a pizza place. Today my dad dropped by and he's not super fluent with English and doesn't know too much about pizza so he asked for a recommendation. They recommended him "The Serpent" stating it was "the most popular". However, my dad was SHOCKED when the pizza was ready he went to pay. The owner or worker failed to mention that it was a $110 pizza. My dad even remarked "Wow that's expensive I thought it would be 20 or 40 dollars max" and the owner/worker did not respond or apologize. I am now eating a slice of the $110 pizza and it's really not good. There's a lack of flavour and it's just a pile of seafood on top of mediocre pizza. The center of the pizza was super mushy and it needed more salt and tomato sauce. Also a thick layer of mushy potato slices is not a good pizza topping. read more
