    Duck-Fried Oysters

Went back the oysters were good. The burger could've been better lacked flavor. Wanted a spicy Bloody Mary but the waitress stated they do not have one. Which was odd since I got one before. Was disappointed

I visit Nags Head every year and used to go to this location back when it was Blue Moon but wow, this was great! Recommended to our group by the air boat cruise guy, Jeff. Our waitress, Eliza, was a gem! She recommended the salmon special -- it was amazing. It was a miso glazed salmon with the most amazing pumpkin curry. The veggies, salmon and rice were all perfectly cooked. But that curry sauce was to die for. The potato crusted drum was also amazing, I snagged a bite from a friend. Will absolutely be back!

Yelp led us here and we don't regret it. Our server, Sadie, gave some good suggestions and we took them. Hubby had the scallops and shrimp with grits and I got the smashburger special. I don't usually eat all of my fries but I ate every scrap. I can't explain why they were so good. Hubby was super impressed with his meal. The grits have chorizo in them and that was something new and different and delicious. Sadie was great. She checked in as needed and kept our drinks full. The restaurant is in a strip mall but once you get inside you can't tell.

What a hit of a spot which is located in a little strip mall location. The service was great and very accommodating for a large party! We started the evening with prickly pear margaritas which were refreshing as well as a dozen of raw oysters of mixed variety. The oysters were some of the absolute best I've had in a while! We then had the duck fat fried oysters and normally I am not a fried oyster person but these were outstanding. Both entrees of puppy drum fish and chips and the seared scallops and shrimp were filling but the perfect combination of flavors! We will be coming back if we are ever back in town!

You can NOT find a better restaurant in the outer banks than Dune Street. The atmosphere is nice casual, with a great eat at bar, and comfortable booths and tables. From the second we walked in until the time we walked out, the service was excellent, spot on and friendly. The food, itself was just amazing. We started with the Duck Fat fried Oysters app over a bed of slaw, with a house made remoulade. The oysters had a nice batter and was fried perfectly while the remoulade had a nice kick The next app we shared was the fried Calamari also with house made remoulade. The Calamari was cooked perfectly and was tender on the inside with a nice crunch on the out. Don't miss out on the Lobster bisque, that is tucked away at the bottom of the menu. There were a few chunks of Lobster meat, but the dish was all about the broth which was very good. We finished off our meal with some of the best Fish street tacos ever. The soft shells had nice char marks from the grill for added depth of flavor. Each taco had 2 large pieces of fish and Jicama slaw. And OMG, the side of salsa was so good which had a very light sweetness I could not place. When we asked what was in the salsa the waitress told us it was pineapple. This is something we will make at home for sure. Don't hit the tourist traps on the highway, but head over to Dune Street. Go early before crowds hit.

It was late and we didn't want anything fancy. We decided to give this place a shot. Since we were too hungry we chose something to share. I chose the wings and the fries (opted for the duck fat fries because I know that makes them crispy). The wings had a wonderful flavor on their own - no sauce needed. The fries were just as I imagined - perfection!! They were only seating tables in the bar area or at the bar at the time we went so that was fine. The kitchen was pretty close too!

My wife and I stopped by on a weekday evening for date night dinner and the wait for seating inside was nearly two hours. However the host offered us seating outdoors immediately, and while it was a bit gusty, we decided to take that offer. While small (maybe 6 tables), it is somewhat enclosed which helped to damper the breeze. Our server Hannah was quick to greet us, and talk us through their specials that evening. We started with house margaritas (which were on special for $5) and the fried calamari. The margaritas were simple, but good, and the calamari was also very good! Hannah also provided excellent recommendations and prompt service which was greatly appreciated. For my entree, I was disappointed to learn that they were out of one of the specials, and so instead opted for the chili-glazed duck. I was a bit skeptical of how well a beach raw bar would do duck, but my-oh-my was I surprised. The duck was cooked a perfect medium rare, with a sweet and spicy chili sauce glazed over it. It was served along with broccolini over a bed of sticky rice. The flavors of each component perfectly complimented the others, and the portions were generous. The broccolini was a perfect tender crisp, providing a nice balance of texture to the overall dish. My wife opted for the Baja tacos which were on special, which she found excellent as well. The sauces with which they were served, however, she found far too spicy. Overall, great service with one very good and one stellar dish. I haven't been so pleasantly surprised by a dish in quite some time! I would highly recommend the chili-glazed duck!

5 stars!! We come here 3x in a week if we are only here for 3 days. The food is always fresh, cannot get a better dinner or lunch experience down here. The staff is wonderful- excellent service. The venue is vibe. Menu and drinks are always on point. The mezcal margarita is my go to, never disappoints. They have different daily specials, our favorite place to eat in OBX. Highly recommend!

Tucked away in a shopping center, Dune Street Rawbar and grill is a wonderful find. While the menu is not extensive, it still offered a good variety of entrees. Daily specials are listed on a separate sheet. Be sure to review it prior to ordering. Dining area is very casual, almost with a no frills look. However, all the dishes that we've ordered came out flavorfully done, and well presented. Portions were generous as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pricing was similar to others in the area. A good choice for seafood and casual dining.

We were excited to check out this new restaurant -- opened in Sept 2023. We arrived around 7:45 on a Friday, the place had a wait but there was space at the raw bar and the hostess offered space on a couch where we could get drinks and apps. From The minute we walked in, we felt taken care of. The wait wasn't very long and soon we were seated. The drink menu had some great wine choices - by the glass or bottle and some nice cocktails. I love a cocktail special but the standard menu was full of renditions of crushes. We started with the oysters Rockefeller. While waiting for our table, we must have seen the gentlemen at the raw bar shuck at least 50! Apparently they go through a lot!! For dinner, I had the bbq chicken (not a full seafood lover), my husband had the tri tip special and my friend had the crab stuffed shrimp with a side salad. All the food was amazing! We were highly impressed. We tried to the crème brûlée cheesecake and oh my gosh- it was so good. It was hard to rate the best thing we ate. We will be back! Thanks, Colby!

They were accommodating for a large party so that was a plus. Ordering took about 30 mins to get out our food, there was a mix up with the ticketing but it was resolved. My order was unimpressive, it was like a small paddy sitting in cheezewhiz, my bun was burnt, and fries were greasy soggy, the other order was the fish, and that was probably the best thing to order, it was crispy and tasteful. the wings were decent, a little light on the sauce but palatable. they only had diet drinks in, and had very few choices. i really felt the price was not justified for the price and service. Our server was polite but slow, and 3 of the other orders were forgotten because the cook thought they were the same... that's what we were told, so it took a while longer for the rest of the order to come out. We started with bruschetta topped with burrata cheese. I ordered the angel hair pasta in a white garlic butter, cream sauce with marinated chicken and grilled vegetables. My wife and I brought family from Europe thinking that we would have delicious NC seafood. Instead we had food that was only ok in taste and portions that were laughable. We were 4 pretty small adults who all left hungry after spending more than $125 for our meal. The food was not the only issue. The place feels more like a cafeteria. The service was also terrible. Our waiter had a pretty nasty attitude and either was having a bad day or just hated his job. My advice? Go for the view. Standing outside during sundown was spectacular.
