Good with the birthday party fun, all the kids enjoyed it and it was reasonably priced. And you can bring your own food

My daughter was kicked off the competitive cheer team due to me bringing up how my daughter was…read moredropped for an hour straight. (She's a flyer) instead of the owner going and helping the group of kids instead she was on her phone. Once I said something about it she then got up got loud and defensive and decided to go back and fourth about the situation, brought other parents into the conversation, etc. She contacted me 2 days later 30 mins before practice through text message letting me know my daughter was kicked off the team instead of saying that to me the whole hr she went back and fourth with me in person at the gym. I raised over $600 for fundraising. The money was never credited to my account and she refuses to refund it. The practice wear we paid for was hand me downs from years ago. We pay choreography fees and had a choreographer one time. Us and several other teams received last place every competition. All the effort is put into Godspeed so if you're not on that team good luck. Other teams that received first only received that place because they didn't have any competitors. D'Ann (the owner) favorite thing to say is that she's the owner like nobody knows. Humble yourself ma'am. She also shows favoritism to all the kids that she coached their parents. So if she didn't coach you don't take your child here or you're not going to be treated equally. Safety is a last priority in this place. Skills don't matter when it comes to team. Your child can backhand spring and be on a team with someone who can't cartwheel.

D'Ann runs a great program from beginning cheer and tumble classes, All-Star cheer teams, International and World teams!!! Our daughter loves cheerleading so much and has learned so much every year at Powerhouse!!! We love it!!!

I really, really wanted to like this place for my daughters. I placed them in an after school…read moreprogram here, gymnastics and martial arts, plus paid for the additional time to have them complete their homework before I picked them up. The facility wasn't perfectly organized, which I expected after seeing the reviews posted here before, but I didn't let that dissuade me. I was disappointed to find out they did not offer transportation from my youngest daughter's school any longer, but a discount was given on some of her classes to make up for the fact that I had to drive her from school to KidSport. Less than two months into the programs, the martial arts teacher quit, and there was no replacement lined up. My older daughter was upset when she arrived and didn't know what to do or where to go, so was in tears. One of the staff, instead of offering her some support or comfort, told her to "Stop whining and being a baby." Unacceptable. The breaking point came last week when I got to the facility to drop my youngest daughter off after school, the day before Thanksgiving break. My older daughter tells me that she got left at school. The person responsible for picking up all of the students from the elementary school didn't see her right away, and just assumed we were on vacation despite not receiving a note/call/email from us as is outlined in their protocol, so LEFT WITHOUT HER. The school, knowing my 9 year old little girl was left behind, called them and she came back to get my daughter. No one from KidSport called me to let me know my child had been left, or that this mistake had been made. I only found out by accident. And when I brought it up, the woman who left her behind laughed, as if it was somehow funny. I hate having to post a negative review, but when it comes to the basic safety of a child, I cannot in good conscience let it go. I can't even think what might have happened to my little girl had a responsible teacher not been there to watch over her when the people we had paid to do so failed miserably.

I enrolled my 5 yr old in swim lessons and we were really disappointed…read more The teacher we had was REALLY inexperienced. She had zero teaching skills and had no idea how to keep the kids engaged or excited about learning to swim. At one lesson, an older more experienced teacher stepped in and took over as she saw the younger teacher was doing so poorly. The older teacher got my child to do more in 5 min than the younger teacher was able to do in the first 40 min of class. I asked to switch to the older teacher's class but unfortunately she was just there to help out in the next class (and didn't teach there regularly). We WASTED the $90 for the lessons that is for sure. My older kids had gone to a swim school in Leander but she isn't teaching anymore :( Do not waste your money or time here, find a place that has EXPERIENCED teachers.

Tiny tots is for toddlers with minimal to no gymnastics experience, however, everyone in the class appeared to have quite a bit of experience for their age. 2. I notified MG that it wasn't the right fit after one class and requested a refund. No refunds are given but they tried to be accommodating and get us into another class. Unfortunately we couldn't make it due to scheduling conflicts. 3. It would be awesome if MG allowed one drop in class before committing to a whole month. 4. The instructors were nice, I just felt that it wasn't the right fit for my kid's age and experience level. 5. At the end of the class, the instructor handed out candy suckers. I was a little surprised that parents weren't asked first. Why not fun stickers instead? I wish MG would have worked out for us! I was really excited about the class. MG tried to accommodate our schedule, but it didn't work out. I let them know the class wasn't a good fit the night of the first class and unfortunately I didn't get a refund so we probably won't be back again.
