My daughter after attempting a kick over! Her first time she was nervous but they pushed her through and she was so proud!!

We had our daughter in TAG (Zero Gravity) in Cedar Park but when we moved out to Liberty Hill we wanted to find something that was closer and since the pandemic we had to drop all her classes before. We were a little worried about her starting over and in a new place but this gym and her coaches are super amazing! It is a really chill environment and they have really been motivating our daughter to go that extra mile. The coaches are tough and sweet and overall super encouraging. She has been raving about it in her Summer camp and looks forward to going. We have been very happy with this place so far and highly recommend them! Anytime we have had a question about Naomi's skills they were very thorough and knew what she needed and what to work with her on. The only thing we were unsure of was the sign up procedures and drop off for the first time but everything is online and the website walks you through so it's really easy and to drop off you just tell the coach in the gym and they have them registered on their tablets but again super chill and welcoming environment

Picture of my daughter shoved over into her wrong spot by a 12 year old then shoved back. She's confused as to why and what is going on.

Beware of bullying amongst the athletes, coach to kids, kids to kids, and parents to parents. If you dare show concern for your child being bullied, you will get ousted by the moms and coaches. My daughter is 6 years old and we started here in the fall. She moved up to level 1 in the spring. She was told by the coach she didn't belong there because she couldn't land her walkover (which she could, but she was recovering from illness). Then we switched teams. She was physically pushed (call it assault if you want), by the head owner woman coach by being pushed in her spine while my daughter wasn't expecting it. The push was so hard my daughter ran out and we had to take a breather, and she didn't want to go back in. The other older girls on the team (one of the team mom's daughters) pushed my little girl into her "spot" even though she knew where she was going. She also got shoved, made fun of, and felt like the team didn't want her. If you want your child crying after every practice, then this is your gym. I emailed the coach about the constant bullying, she never returned my emails. She finally approached me one afternoon at practice in the hallway in front of everyone (which is not the typical place I would have chosen to chat about a private matter). She did not address the email about pushing and shoving my daughter would succumb to every practice. I addressed my concerns with the moms in a team chat and asked for help on speaking to their kids about Kindness. This backfired. They told me to say who the kids were...which I didn't want to but I did. That backfired. They said how dare I single their kid out. These people are crazy over there. Not logical, and if you don't drink their Kool-Aid you will be segregated until eventually you leave. My daughter is an amazing athlete, and it is too bad the service is so bad here that we had to leave to protect our child. NO child deserves this. The ultimate sad part is that my daughter was willing to take the abuse so she could cheer. That broke my heart (talk about a parallel to what happened to the USA gymnasts by blocking things out just because they loved their sport so much). I am sickened. If you want a gym that has a genuine care for your athlete this is NOT your gym. You are just a monthly payment to them. We finished with show offs last night and my daughter was shoved again and missed her que to start routine. This is why I am typing here to warn you of what goes on here. Be cautious. They seem friendly at first, but beware. And if you have a younger talented athlete get prepared for older girls and moms to bully your child out of that gym. There is no support for talent. Jealousy takes over and it is acceptable at this gym. We will be looking for a better gym where my daughter can blossom, feel accepted, and be coached without physical harm. All my statements are true. Thank you, from a former cheer mom at Courage Cheer and Dance.

Courage Cheer and Dance has an awesome family atmosphere full of individual and teams accomplishments and success!!

Courage is a great facility. Offers cheer, dance, tumbling, and parkour. The competitive programs teach athletes life skills and responsibility with encouragement, support, and positivity. This facility is such a joy to be apart of because they are encouraging and support like a family. The staff is knowledgeable and truly are passionate about their sports. You have got to check this place out!! Perfect for the whole family!!!

My daughter has absolutely thrived at TDA!! Last summer at the 2024-2025 NADA season kickoff party…read moreshe had a horrible panic attack and literally hid in the restroom bc she was so anxious about introducing herself to everyone. She was in FULL meltdown mode and it wasn't fun!! Fast forward to this summer and not only did she have an INCREDIBLE season, she's now doing a SOLO for the upcoming season! We're in absolute awe of how much she's grown in just 3 years of dancing, and we have TDA to thank for that! I also take (adult) classes at TDA and it's been wonderful for my mental and physical health! This really is our safe space and we wouldn't change it for anything. We're actually having dance withdrawals...we can't wait for the season to start! Thank you, TDA!

Being very shy, and sometimes socially challenged, we have seen her come out of her shell and truly show a love and joy for dancing as well as her teachers and classmates. For the first time ever she asked to choreograph a dance for a school PTA competition. Thank you TDA and Ballet Academy North helping her express herself through dance

*Updating this review to mention that if I had any ounce of thought to continue with this studio,…read moreit has gone out the window after reading the owner's rude and condescending reply to my review. I reached out via email last night explaining the issue and never received a response, I suppose because they're more concerned with their public image on Yelp than helping families. After reading this response, I'm pretty disgusted with the management of this studio. I am beyond upset and disappointed in the studio after what happened to my daughter during class last night. She loved her class last year when her instructor was Nicole, but this year she got Maggie. I've watched the class as Maggie pays zero attention to my daughter and instead focuses on the other girls who are doing really well. She didn't help my daughter as she struggled to learn the dance, she would just yell at her in front of the other girls and simply tell her to keep up. Last night, My daughter got frustrated during class tonight because she felt like she wasn't keeping up with the rest of the girls, so she cried and looked very defeated when I picked her up. After class, Maggie asked to speak with me privately in which she made it very clear that she doesn't want my daughter to return to her class. She said that the other girls are having fun and working hard while my daughter is always crying. She said she only wants dancers who will have fun and work hard. I'd also like to note that I've watched Maggie's interactions with my daughter while in class and she visibly ignores her and doesn't engage with her like she does the other girls. We had a great season last year when Eliana was in Nicole's jazz class, but unfortunately this year has been very disappointing. I'm incredibly upset with Maggie and her comments to me tonight, so we don't plan on returning. I would feel too uncomfortable sending my daughter back after we were indirectly told it'd be best for the class if she doesn't return. Unfortunately, I've already paid for the recital, the costume, and the tuition for March, so I guess I'll have to eat those costs.

My daughters just finished dance camp this week and it was the most fun week of their little lives. It's so rewarding to see your kids hard work pay off in the end. - Highly recommend this dance studio!

As a dad, this place could not make me more prouder of the joy they bring out in my daughter…read more I am not a dance academy dad or a "helicopter parent" but I can personally testify to witnessing the caring instructors and meticulous concern they have towards the kids enjoying the freedom of dance. I have attended a year end dance recital with ages from toddlers to teenagers and was impressed (along with many other parents/families). Their care and showmanship convinced me when my daughter said: "daddy I want to dance on that stage"... that's all a parent needs to hear to know that your child enjoys what they do and how they help the kids reach that goal. The staff is always informative, the facility is clean, they have basic coffee, cakes, and refreshments for sale while you wait in the lobby, and while you wait in the lobby... you can watch your child's classes on large screen TV's from the cameras they have mounted in the room. Personally, I think this is the best way to help parents monitor the kids and isolate the instruction. You can see that the kids are NOT distracted by observing parents and you can silently smile knowing that they are getting personalized instruction. In my daughters group there are boy dancers as well, and as you know, boys play like boys; the instructors handled all situations well and kept the whole class of 10-13 students on time and focused with instruction. Our daughter is attending the Jazz/Tap/Ballet and the program really does develop her skills in dance, understanding of the dance, and allows her to just be a kid to overcome stage fright or show nerves. I am not sure how long we will attend "The Dance Works", but we will as long as our daughter wants us to bring her there.
