We were very impressed with Jack and the initial meeting but wanted to be thorough. We had meetings with 6 other companies throughout Orange County. After each meeting, we kept coming back to Pelican because of the fact that they manufactured their own cabinets and the impressive quality of those cabinets. Eventually we chose to sign with Pelican and now that the project is over, we undoubtedly chose correctly. During the design phase, Jack was extremely helpful and had great suggestions on how to refine our design to fit the needs of our space while also being happy to incorporate our ideas. Once construction started, our Project Manager Chris took over and ran everything perfectly. His constant communication and attention to detail trickled down to the construction team. There is no doubt the project was a success largely because of Chris. The various construction team throughout the project were all extremely nice, clean, and considerate. Our primary cabinet installer Mauricio deserves a special call out. His installation and carpentry was perfect. The countertop fabricator, Jose, was also incredible. During the initial Consultation Alex walked us through what the process would look like and provided an idea of expectations and price range based off my previous quotes. Throughout the entire project, Alex was really easy to communicate with. He was on top of all the contractors and anytime we needed an update (because I wanted them often) he would call me with detailed information. Being our first remodel experience we had a lot of questions and didn't understand how everything worked, but Alex took his time to walk us through it all. He showed up weekly to check on the status of the project and communicated daily on what is happening next. We asked his team to do some appliance and window installation which they did. And if they didn't feel comfortable doing specialty installation he was up front and let us know. Everything in the project was well documented in the contract which helped guide expectations and communication. We were given a 12 week timeline and we got delayed from manufactures due to the holiday season. However, Alex's contractors worked weekends and in the end completed the project a week early. All of the contractors were very respectful and professional. During the final walk thru and weeks after we found little things that needed finished touch ups and his team came back to fix or touch up everything we asked for. Even a month later Alex was available immediately to help with questions/ concerns. My only recommendation is at his team consider accepting cash or credit card to collect points. At this time, they only accept checks or money order. Overall we love our kitchen and would recommend using House Of Remodeling and Alex as our project manager again.

Once demolition started, he identified further issues with flooring around bathtub that needed repair and also made suggestions for remodeling the restroom for a newer look. He was reasonable with his prices and wanted to make sure I, the customer, made a well informed decision. We added some upgrades to the bathroom such as vanity and recess lighting which gave the restroom a whole new modern look.
