This company parked their trailer in front on my house for DAYS despite the fact that I left multiple calls/voicemails politely asking them to move around the corner when they had an opportunity. I would not have had an issue with it if they would have at least had the courtesy to ask if it was okay, but these guys have no common sense or professionalism. Kevin does not guarantee his work. His workers did not properly prep the house, spray-painted a thin coat of paint and left other areas unpainted, ripped holes in some window screens, and damaged stucco. He finally came out, blamed everyone and everything except that his guys did a poor job, whined about how tired he is (but never has even a speck of paint on him), then said he would have his men come back out but that was over 3 months ago. We have tried calling him but he will not answer or return our calls. And he is certainly not cheap in his price. Clearly he is not a professional. We had the complete exterior of our home painted to include the gutters, garage door, shutters, chimneys, block wall, and two exterior doors. We even had him paint the shed to match the house. Kevin is an owner who takes pride in his work and his service to the customer. His workers have been employed with him for many years. Each day they showed up happy and eager to complete the job. We used Kevin's Painting in September to paint our one storey house. The painting took two days. On Day one, two of the team prepared the house performing patching and masking of windows and doors. On Day two, four members of the team painted the house. We are extremely please with the results. The masking was excellent with all edges straight and not showing any signs of bleeding. Old screw holes and chipped areas were patched and not discernible after painting. I could not find any paint splatter or over spraying anywhere. Called Kevin's Painting and was pleasantly surprised to actually speak to the owner directly. He was very courteous, professional and willing to work with our schedule to set up a visit for an estimate. He arrived right on time and was cleanly dressed with a company logo work shirt. Kevin discussed that although he wouldn't directly be performing the work, his foreman and workers (which whom he specified were his same employees and not home depot hire-outs) would be doing the job. He provided a quote immediately after the walk around which notated certain requests that we had discussed earlier. (It was reassuring to have the fine details laid out on the quote knowing we wouldn't have to ask/remind him or his workers of specifics later on.) The things that stood out above other companies and the reasons we hired him was because he was that we could feel that he genuinely wants to please his customers. He is honest, friendly and doesn't make you feel like an idiot when asking remedial questions (like when you point to a part of the house and say "can you paint that thing?"). But more importantly, we not only wanted someone who was skilled but was also licensed for our peace of mind. Kevin's quote was the least expensive of any licensed company we received a quote from and he was the only one recommended from Angie's List. Another thing which he offered that no one else did was the fact that the paint has a light reflective value rating, so we could factor in (or rule out) certain colors that has a low reflective value which would fade more quickly. Now, it's not to say the other brand of paints by the other companies don't have this same rating, but Kevin is the only one who was willing to inform and educate us of the rating so that we were able to make a conscience color decision for our money. A few days after the estimate, we called to schedule the job. Specifically his company performed an exterior sanding and painting job on the house, 15ft x 20ft wooden deck, wooden siding, 10ft x 12ft shed, all gates, painted the front door and garage door and did stucco and texture coating repair and paint using Dunn-Edwards paint. Our home is single story at 1,200 sqft. About a week before the start date, Kevin called to let me know they were a bit behind schedule due to recent heavy winds for the past few weeks, so we rescheduled a few weeks later. Then at the end of the last week before the revised start date I received a call stating they were caught up and would start the following morning to jump on all the wood siding sanding and repair. His work crew arrived right on time each morning and by the time we got home from (which was 5:15pm), the crew were either just about to leave or had already left for the day. If they were still there when we arrived, the foreman would give us a status update on their progress. The total job covered 4 days. On the last day of the job, the crew had already left and we noticed the bill (which was an exact copy of our original quote) was on the front door step. That evening, my spouse and I walked around and found some small things here and there that we felt still needed some attention. It was mostly small areas that were either missed, had a little paint over-spray or or texture coating was not fully filled in. I contacted Kevin to ask that we do a walk around together which we did the following week. When we went around the house, every thing we mentioned, no matter how embarrassingly tiny it was, Kevin wrote down so that he can have the same foreman back out to touch up. He did not question, dismiss, or dispute anything we asked and wanted to be sure we were more than satisfied with his company's work. A few days later, the foreman arrived at their normal start time and took care of all the touch ups we asked for. Overall, we are exceptionally happy with Kevin's Painting Service. The only thing I regret is not asking for enough business cards because after sharing our positive experience with family and friends, you will be asked for many cards! We just had our house done by Kevin and his crew; inside and out. Although I was impressed with Kevin enough to hire him ( not the lowest bid but not by a lot) I am always wary of contractors and their "crews". The way they worked was absolutely incredible. They arrived on time each day, cleaned up each day were polite and considerate and did an incredible job of prepping. Furniture and fixtures were moved and replaced as if by magic with no damage or spills. Also, unlike some contractors I have had they were very quiet. NO loud "boom-boxes". It doesn't get any better. Kevin's Painting service deserves 100 stars. I have used Kevin to paint on 3 separate occasions and my expectations have been exceeded each time. He painted the interior of my home in 2017 and the results were spectacular. He also repainted some wainscoting at that time BUT I have only recently begun to fully grasp the level of skill his team has. You see, in 2018 I had some new wainscoting installed and, because Kevin was in high demand and not available for a couple months, I decided to go with another painter for this seemingly small job. Big mistake. 2 painters tried 3 times to match the paint quality of Kevin's painting service on the wainscoting from 2017 and couldn't come close. In fact, one established painter had me call Kevin to ask how he was able to produce such a beautiful finish. After 3 failed attempts, I decided to just wait for Kevin's team to be available. His team spent 3 days and created the most gorgeous, jaw dropping finish imaginable. This is not hyperbole--it looks like a 30 thousand dollar paint job. It is absolutely stunning. I was referred to Kevin by a coworker. His wife is a real estate agent and recommends Kevin's Painting to all her clients. I'm glad I went with him. He wasn't the cheapest but I am a big believer that you get what you pay for. It should be noted the his price was not unreasonable and was cheaper than most other quotes I received. We had the interior of our home painted, a two story 2200 sq ft home. His guys showed up on time each day (it was a two day job) and were very friendly. I was fresh off of back surgery from just a week before they showed up and they were very accommodating with what areas I wanted painted first so I could be as comfortable as possible during the process. Amazingly they did an immaculate job and literally left no mess behind other than a bit of dust on the kitchen counters. Big whoop. Took my son about 2 minutes to clean it up. His workers were friendly and had no attitude when I pointed out some areas that needed some touching up. I'll definitely go back to Kevin for any future painting projects. I have received multiple compliments on the work they did.
