I walked in and I was ignored by all 10+ employees there. No one was at the front but they were all facing me/saw me! when someone finally did acknowledge me, I asked her if they were available for mani pedi and she said "we don't have time for you today" mind you it's 11am on a Wednesday.. they close at 7pm but have no availability... sure, ok. HORRIBLE PEDICURE, HORRIBLE SERVICE! Right off the bat the only person (female) who could slightly speak English couldn't find the nail color I picked. Instead of searching she brought me the first polish she found... not even close lady!! I Explained wrong color. To save me time & aggravation I picked another color. She then offered me a glass of wine. Thank you very much! It had been a long day. However what she brought me came out of at least a 35 year old box! OK maybe exaggerating but not by much. A man did my pedicure. He basically cut my nails down to the quick. When I told him it hurt he said I should have told him 'not so short'. By then too late dude. He put my foot in the water and it burned my toe. The original lady came over and I explained what was happening. She also said I should have said something. She offered me a 50% discount so I would shut up. I finished up with the man. I Went to pay and I still gave the man a $5 tip. Same lady took my payment and walked off as if I did some wrong! If I could give this 0 stars I would. Booked an appt hours in advance for 5pm. Mind you there were spots open until 6:30 today. I walk in and at least 4-5 others are being serviced and I am told they will not take me because they tried to get me to come an hour earlier. I replied back to them and they never responded. To top it off they were RUDE and did not apologize at all when I told them I wrote them back and they didn't respond. I will be writing a review on every place reviews are made. The service was great, the place was clean, the pedicures were one of the best we've had, and my nails look great. All fairly priced. It was above my expectations from being out of town. I went here on November 2021 and im writing this review because i was disappointed with a nail salon i was at yesterday. When i first came to Ivy nail salon i came with my cousin and my sister they were very nice but in the end i never got my nails done i thought i had made an appointment for me and one of the ladies (i think she was the manager) didnt want to take me because they were already going to close but she decided to take me and the nails i wanted were pink/white ombre nails she gave me beautiful pink/ombre nails i will not forget this kind service and she gave me it cheaper than Impression nail salon. Asked for pedicure and manicure colors to match but very very different. Pedicure felt rushed. Dip nail manicure started to crack a day after getting. Eventually 6 out of 10 has either horizontal or diagonal cracks. They did "repair" the first 2 but looked so off with differing lengths. read more

I paid $33 for my pedicure. Customer service awful. From the minute we walked in the attitude was terrible. The lady flat out asked me if I wanted water and nearly rolled her eyes when I responded yes. Um, you asked ME. My nails were cut at an angle. The lady would not admit it and asked me why I didn't say anything until after my nails were painted. Um, because I didn't really see it until my feet were on the floor. The sugar scrub consisted of putting sugar around my ankle area and immediately cleaning off with the towel. The standard pedi massage, nonexistent. She explained that because she put hot oil on, that was the massage. Say what? Pro tip: instead of arguing with the client, offer a correction! Perhaps an apology. Went with my daughter. They were friendly. Asked to make a heart design in my daughter finger nail they did a white ugly line and when I reminded them for the third time she said I can't do that. Yet they wanted to charge me for it. I asked for it to be removed, only removed one hand. My pedicure was ok, but they charged me for a pedicure I didn't get. I didn't get hot towels, or callous removal. In fact, they never even asked me what pedicure I wanted. When I went to pay, I told them and they became rude and argued with me. First time-Last time! I booked my appointment 5/20 with this salon based on their reviews. I made an appoint and I arrived 15 min early. I was seated with an elderly lady- name possibly Tu Nyguen. My request was a pink and white refill and thin tips. At no time during the appoint did she ask me my name or tell me hers (got the possible name from mail scattered around her unkempt station). She never asked me what I liked or didn't like - never even offered a beverage. This was the WORST experience in a nail salon that I have ever had and I've been getting my nails done for 30+ years. Because she was in a hurry and didn't file the old white down to my nail-I now have 2 different color whites on my tips -the difference is visible. She asked me which color I wanted and I chose soft white not realizing the outcome. Then when I pointed it out to her she said that because I requested thin tips the soft white didn't hold it's color. That info would have been nice to know from the nail expert! I can't even say that her attitude changed when I said something because it sucked from the beginning. It is obvious that this job does not make her heart sing. Lastly, this place was not clean, especially around the area where I was supposed to wash my hands and only 1 community nail brush-yuk! And before I get the canned response from management "Hi, we are so sorry about your negative experience at our store. We'd like to learn more about your specific situation and make things right. If you wouldn't mind giving us a call our store number at your earliest convenience, it would be greatly appreciated. This is my favorite local nail place. The location is clean and staff is friendly. My usual service is a spa pedicure which includes the usual (massaging chair, leg massage, nail polish change). They also do a fantastic job with any waxing services you might need. They are closed for a month until they open their new location in March. read more

About a year ago I decided to try powder dip because my nails are very thin. I came to this place with my niece even though it is about 20 miles from my home. They did a great job and the dip lasts until my nails grow out, about 3 to 4 weeks. I've tried other nail salons closer to my home, and the powder dip starts peeling or chips off in a week or so. Every time I go back to Ivy, it lasts and doesn't chip. They are very busy but really try to accommodate you if you don't have an appointment. read more

They were ready for me as soon as I arrived (no waiting), she listened to what I asked for, she was quick (which is very important to me), and I left extremely happy with my nails! I asked for sharp square, she did sharp square. I asked her to make sure they were all the same length (that was the issue I was having with my last nail place) and they are all the same length. Got acrylic nails done but after 3 weeks they were becoming separated at cuticle ends. Went back for a fill in set. It has been just over a week and a couple of nails are separating already. Make an appointment! This is what 80% of people do. I can respect that. I also am in awe of how they overcome a language barrier. Then they pout and don't even answer you. So unprofessional. They just want to be done with you so they can move as fast as possible to the next person. They make you feel very uncomfortable. They are so flexible so when I ask for designs or polished or gel, they take care of whatever I request. My nails last longer than most places I've been. The pedis are wonderful. Had shellac mani with pedi this most recent visit and shellac looked ok. Asked for a candy cane design and the tech YouTubed it. It wasn't bad, but didn't look crisp and clean like I expected it to. Same tech has done my pedi last two visits and she spent an average of 2 minutes per leg for massage. I told her that was my favorite part on 2nd visit and she didn't get the hint. I've had gel nails done by Ivy at least 12 times, and my mother had her toes done there once when she was in town. They've always been able to fit me in and they do excellent work. My nails usually last at least 12 days (and I'm always working with my hands so that's a good number of days). There is a language gap with some of the ladies that work there, but they are kind hearted and care about the service they provide so don't put too much stock into some of the reviews about them being rude. If you've traveled outside the US, people are not overly friendly namely because their English is not real well. This place is popular, they do great work, so the lady on the phone is in a rush. I went in wanting powder dip manicure but quickly changed to just getting mine removed and waiting to go to my regular nail girl(somewhere else) this place is dirty and there is a distinct smell when sitting at the table. Took about 10-15mins to acknowledge me when I first walked in. I also noticed that there were no Texas law sign of business licenses or cosmetology licenses anywhere to be found or hung up. Everytime I come here it gets worse. People that bark at you from when you walk in. Pedicures that are sloppy, massage chairs that you can hardly feel, and every time someone shoves their sharp finger nail under my toenail to apply polish. Also, I guess every single person there thinks reflexology means pushing their thumbs into your shin and the bones on your feet. It was almost as if they purposely skip the muscles and go straight into torturing you for an hour. Double bonus- you can stare at a blank Netflix user screen the entire time as well. I used to love this place, but I think they honestly are just trying to get each of us out of the door as quick as possible while inflicting the most amount of pain that they can.
