TLDR: I LEFT WITH AN OPEN, BLEEDING WOUND. I went in for an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. The nail tech didn't come to talk to me for 20 minutes. When she finally came to ask what services I wanted, she began my pedicure and IMMEDIATELY began removing healthy skin around my toes. On my big toe, she cut me so badly, I started uncontrollably bleeding everywhere. She put my foot back in the water, but I told her it was stinging and very painful. She kept trying to do the same to my other foot, but I pulled my foot out the water and she finally saw the blood running down my toe and foot. She freaked out and the manager came over and started yelling at her. I told them both I needed to leave to go home to take care of the open wound she left me with. I headed to urgent care and they were glad I came in because this type of wound can easily become infected if not treated, which can lead to AMPUTATIONS. Avoid this place. Seriously. read more

Went in for a full set and pedicure. Pedicure was great but guy who didn't understand any English ended it only putting the acrylic on my natural nails, without tips. I tried over and over to explain but to no avail. Then when filing and shaping with dremel tool he burned several of my finger tips. By this point I was over it and just wanted out. I was looking for a new place for a pedicure after so ho-him experiences elsewhere. After reading some reviews, decided to try Ivy Nails. I made a 9am appointment and was happy to get in just as they were opening. I was seated promptly. The chairs are in good condition and the water was hot and ready to go. Cindy did a great job and didn't skimp on the massage portion. I have some chemical allergies and I'm always a bit worried about the soaking agents, nail polish remover, oils and lotions, but I didn't have any reactions. I brought my own OPI nail polish and I was happy that she had some OPI basecoat and top coat to use with it. At some other places they don't even use basecoat and my toenails end up looking ugly and yellow. All I all, I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back. read more

Terrible quality,, the workers always trying to rush and end up doing a terrible job. I've been to this nail salon a few times, thinking the next time will be better if I get a good nail tech, but always end up with bleeding cuticles. This time I got three bleeding fingers, one of them was bleeding so much, the old lady doing my nails kept putting some liquid that was making it hurt more, I asked her if it was alcohol but because she didn't speak English she just nodded and kept applying that stuff until my cuticle started getting black, then she managed to cut a chunk off my cuticle off another finger. The man who did it refused to do it the way I asked him to ( dip with gel overlay) I walked into salon earlier in the day and asked if they did this and was told yes. When you have to find a new nail place, it's a challenge...but the team at Ivy Nails made me feel very comfortable the first time I walked in. I planned to just get the deluxe pedicure - which was a definite bargain - and then in the middle of that I decided to get a fill of my gel nails. The staff is friendly, accommodating and super nice. I've lived in major cities recently - including the Washington DC area - and this salon would have no problem fitting in DC because of their skilled staff, friendliness, and cleanliness, but would blow other salons out of the water with their value. Amy gave me such a great fill and fancy color - with designs - I was very impressed. Great attention to detail. The gentleman who did my pedicure and nail design was great too and gave a fantastic pedicure treatment as well. One thing that impressed me was that if a staff member didn't have a client, they were cleaning. That is a great sign of overall cleanliness. I found my new nail place!! read more

I do like this place, sometimes if you don't have an appointment, you can be waiting a while. I've had acrylic nails done and a pedicure as well. The workers are a little difficult to understand, but it usually ends up okay. I've had a few meh experiences, and a few good ones. They lady who answers the phone to make appointments is easier to understand, but it's still a little bit of a challenge. They have a nice selection of colors and quite a few designs. Went and got my nails done and had a pedicure. I have been go other nail places here in Tooele (Nails) and I always left with rough heels still and my nails were put on crooked and always looked misshapen and globby. Decided to give this place a try and I absolutely love my nails and my pedicure! My feet are so soft, my toenails are painted perfectly and Tyler, the one who gave me the pedicure, massaged my feet and legs for over 40 minutes. It was the best pedicure I've ever had. I'm so mortified with my experience here. Awful! After making an appointment and showing up on time I waited 30+ minutes to even be seated. I witnessed an employee get angry with a client after the client told her what she wanted and the Employee didn't want to do what she wanted and proceeded to throw her hands in the air. You could tell how uncomfortable and shocked the client was. I also witnessed one employee in the restroom while another employee hit the metal door several times and so hard it scared me. I personally Got nothing like I had asked for it looked like a child had done it. Whole experience was awful! As a mom I don't don't get to go relax and get my nails done and I am so beyond sad that this was my experience. The manager admitted my nails were awful and still charged me for them anyway. DON'T DO IT! They cut my natural long nails assuming I wanted acrylics, then she apologized and finished my nails. No massage no cleaning/cutting cuticles. Said I need to ask. Sorry all the other places I've been to do it automatically. It's a manicure. Then they charged my husband $45 for basic mani/pedi and $45 for me and an additional $39 (for powder???). WOW! When I walked in the door I was greeted right away by a friendly staff, although it was busy the wait was minimal. The selection of acrylic and gel colors is amazing. While getting my Nails done I watched the Deluxe Pedicure being done and had to have one for myself! The massaging chairs are delightful! The women at this place are good at what they do but the management and organization of this place is a joke. Every single time I have scheduled an appointment to have my nails done, whether it was a full on manicure and pedicure or just a basic nail painting, there is always always a wait. It doesn't matter if you make an appointment. I've never been late and they have always someone else at the person I scheduled the appointment with. The people who work here are incredible! Their attention to detail is unmatched and they take the time to make sure you're 110% satisfied! I unintentionally came in near closing time and instead of hurrying through their work, and skimping on quality they stayed over a half-hour after close. It was the best pedicure I've ever gotten. I would really actually rate it Zero Stars. I have been here several times and they have not impressed me at all. They are very nice people and they seem to try and fit everyone in. The down side is that when I went in the Saturday before mother day they where trying to fit everyone in and most of them didn't even have appointments. I made an appointment for 12pm and I sat in the pedicure seat for over 45 min and got cold before they started the service. The lady doing my toes was too busy focusing on everyone competing in and out the door she did very poorly on my toes. I hate to talk poorly because the workers are very nice but take on WAY too much. I finished my toes at 1:30 and waited till 4 to have my nails filled. The design I wanted was too complicated for the nail tech and she attempted to try but failed sadly. 10 workers on floor and still no one acknowledged my presence when I walked in. I stood looking for someone to give me eye contact and ask what I needed done. Even though there were a few technicians that walked by me, nobody asked...not even to say "we will be with you soon". I looked on the front desk and there was no "sign in sheet"? I stood for a few minutes waiting for a greeter....or even a "hello". I decided to sit and wait. I waited another 10 minutes before a technician finished her customer. She asked me what I wanted, and then another lady came over just to tell me they were no longer accepting customers. Why did they both ask me what I wanted, and then quote me different prices, and then tell me they were no longer receiving customers? They should have said that when I walked in the door. They have a big bell by the door, they heard me come in. I was the only person left and they still had one hour and 30 minutes before close. They couldn't even do a simple acrylic backfill with a polish in a hour. It's $30 for a $15 back fill !wow. I can't believe people in Tooele pay these over prices for this ridiculous customer service. Get some work ethics, hospitality, and class like all the other nail salons. Woman should come here to relax and your job is to help them feel good about your product and your service. They shouldn't walk away feeling like it was a waste of time. read more

Took my daughters in to get full set acrylic with gel color. The ladies were nice, except the one who spoke English without any discernible accent. She loudly insulted a customer who was wearing a jacket in the salon. She also asked my daughter if my daughter "didn't go to kindergarten" because she felt my daughter's hands were still wet after they had her wash her hands !! So I walked in this place to ask about the pedicure prices and next thing I know, I'm picking a color and sitting in a chair with my feet in lukewarm water. I did the spa pedicure with a gel color. They're a little hard to understand but they know their job very well. My total came to $36 before tip which I thought was a decent price. I would definitely return in the future. read more

The first time I came here I got a hand rash because of unsanitized tools. I thought maybe it was just a one out of many accident so I decided to give them another chance. The second time, my nails were lumpy and uneven, they were placed too high so they looked very grown out in less than a week. I spent over $50 on a full set that's lasting half the time they should. Went there and got a full set, was very happy. I am very hard on nails and I do crack them. Went back for my fill, the nail tech did not drill out the cracked, which caused my real nail to split into 2. I promise you this! You do not want to have to get a acrylic nail soaked off ofter your real nail is broke! I would of left the nail on but the split of my real nail was in the middle and would not stop bleeding! Do not go here if you want quality or service. I have made appointments several times and each time I end up waiting 1/2 hour or being asked to come back while they are accepting walk-ins. Either make your establishment walk-ins or by appointment. They are in such a hurry they don't pay attention to what they are doing. I went in for a pedicure, had an appointment at 9:30 showed up was told they needed to move my appointment to 11:00, went back at 11:00 didn't get a nail technician for 10 minutes then she was in such hurry she cut me. In the middle the manager had her stop & go do a person's eyebrows. She came back never massaged my feet or anything, put the sugar rub on me while my legs were dry, hurry & rinsed it off. The manager again had her go help another person. I sat there for another 15 minutes getting nothing done. She came back was about to paint my nails (again having nothing else done) & he AGAIN put her with another person! He ended up painting my toes where he didn't give the polish any time to dry, it looks absolutely horrible! I got charged for a pedicure where all I got was a gel removal & my nails painted horribly. All they care about is the money & how many people they can't get in. If you have appointments & do not have time for walk-ins stop taking walk-ins! I won't be back & I would suggest others to go somewhere else as well, somewhere that actually cares about their customers. Went in today, had just pulled off acrylics that I'd gotten done somewhere else so my nails were damaged. They put this nail strengthener on and then redid my acrylics. They were gentle and took their time so it didn't feel like all they wanted was to be done so they could have my money. They dipped my hands in wax and massaged them all for the acrylic price.
