I wanted to go somewhere closer to home so I tried here. I did a walk-in acrylic fill and had to wait about 15 min which was fine. They were very aware of asking me through the process if I liked the shapes, color, etc which made me feel heard. The staff was very sweet and the vibe was good. It's definitely not your most glamorous mail spot because everything is heavily used, but they will take care of you. I was only a little disappointed that they didn't have the color I asked for and the nail slabs aren't the best.pat of them are being held together by duct tape and a lot of the nails are missing. read more

I've been going to this salon for years, since high school. Had a horrible experience! I'm not one to write reviews but people should not go here. I spent $45 on a pedicure and paid $15 extra for gel polish. I thought everything was great, middle aged man massaged me, it was wonderful. Very old lady painted my nails and when I was done, I looked at them and the gel polish was all over my toes. Looked horrible. The middle aged lady wanted to redo them but at this point I had been here for 1.5 hours and I had no interest in staying any longer. My mom got a regular polish pedicure ($45) and she had to remind them to do her cuticles, file and buff her toe nails. Then they did 1 coat of paint and said they were finished. She said "I need at least two coats and a clear coat". Would not recommend and not going back. read more

My normal place is closed today. I thought I should give other places a try and found this place. It was not busy. I'm patient and have no problem with waiting. But I also don't think a pedicure takes from 1/2 hours. I felt like my person was extremely slow. My review is not about the speed. My review is more based on the cleanliness of the place. This was probably the most unsanitary and dirty salon I have been to. With Covid, I feel like you would take even more extreme measures. When they drained the water I smelt like something was rotten. I came with 3 people, like I said we didn't mind waiting. But since it took over an hour on just my pedicure. We canceled our manicure and the rest of everyone's pedicure. The workers/nail techs were very sweet and nice. They were very apologetic. My pedicure and polish turned out okay. Nothing over the top. I wish I could've given a better review. Unfortunately I don't think I would return. read more

I came here to quickly remove gel off my fingernails since it was grown out and the lady did a horrible job. She was so nice, but she basically filed off my entire nail. It was burning while she was doing it and when I got him my nails were breaking off. She didn't let it soak at all and I don't think she used the right drill bits to take it off. I've had gel removed and my nail bed was still intact. After leaving this place I left with brittle, thin nails since she filed it all off. I can't imagine what the other services would be like. read more

My daughter and I didn't have reservations so we had to wait 30 minutes for pedicures. Worth every minute! They used razors and did a great job smoothing our heels and soles. Their basic pedicure includes a long foot/leg massage with lotion, oil and hot stones. It was heavenly! Their chairs are comfortable with massage settings. Good choices for nail polish and plenty of nail stations, but they could use more employees. My daughter had gel polish taken off her fingernails and wasn't pleased with the way they filed and shaped her nails. read more

This review is in concert with a couple of previous reviews that I wholeheartedly agree that this establishment was NOT SATISFACTORY. My wife stopped in for a mani-pedi & asked for an technician by name for service. Bottom line, "Tom" was NOT the "overpriced service" someone claimed. He didn't listen to specific concerns my wife raised concerning her nails and was completely dismissive. During the pedicure, he had the audacity to make a joke about her with another associate (male-who got a big hearty laugh of the joke); not to mention his pedicure process was "piss poor" at best with extreme lack of impressing a new potential customer for continued business. If not for my regard for others and being a proud veteran, I was close to making a negative scene. For those that reviewed good service from this establishment, I respect, but for those that did not, including my wife, I will not recommend this establishment to anyone. The female associate was nice and offered me service that I respectfully declined, but it seems the men in JC Nails need a good lesson in customer service and respect for others. I should've checked the reviews before I went there. Worst pedicure I've ever had. EVER! Their polish is all goopy, and don't bother trying to ask questions. We had an appointment which really meant nothing (this was a special birthday for me and my 2 daughters). The tech Tom's nails were too long and he drew blood when pretending to work on my cuticles. I left in pain and my toes look like garbage. I even had to trim my own toenails and now I need to find another nail salon that will actually fix what he messed up. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! read more

I got a pedicure here a few weeks ago, the next day my polish started peeling up! and it was a gel set. the guy that did my pedicure didn't even massage, barely even did anything to my feet and kept insisting that I get the most expensive pedicure after I told him repeatedly no that's okay. anyways, they looked terrible just a day after and I reached out to have a refund and they denied and now that I can go and get it fixed they are ignoring my messages. so rude!!! I will never go here or refer anyone ever again. read more

This place happily took us in 30 min before close, gave me an amazing 20 min+ calf massage and seriously gave me the best pedicure I've ever had. AC worked on me for over an hour (for the basic pedi!) when she could have turned us away and gone home at 8. To top it off, she's hilarious and kept me laughing the entire time. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! Worst mani I ever got as well as my feet. She painted terrible and told me she couldn't get my cuticles cause I had longer nails???? Then I said please just take any cuticles off that you can and she said "5 dollars more" That makes no sense!!!!??? That's what a damn manicure is!!!! She got paint all on the sides of my nails. She didn't put no lotion on my hands at all at any point which usually A MANICURE Entails lotion and a hand rub (which I don't even care about) it's jut the point!!! I don't get it??? Normally, this place is great!! I have been coming here for a couple of years. Their Basic/Regular pedicure would be the go-to. The staff is friendly enough and professional-ish. Their inability to plan makes it so you rarely get seen when you schedule an appointment. On this last and final visit my wife and I had an appointment and when we came to our appointment my wife was the only one able to be seen. I could've gotten my pedicure but after waiting 45-50 minutes past my appointment I decided that it wasn't worth it. Not to mention we had an appointment to get to. If you don't have anything else going on in your life and are ok with waiting an hour past your appointment. Then this is the place for you. read more

Would not recommend!!!!! Way too pricy for the quality of service! They did not take their time and the gel they used on my toes was old and gooey and they smudged it with the light and didn't fix it! I also went to have some acrylic nails soaked off. The price they had listed was 10 dollars and she told me it would be 25$. I felt like they were trying to rush through and upcharge everything they could. I will not be returning. read more

After having frequented this business happily for a few years now, I had the worst experience ever getting a pedicure yesterday. I've always tipped my 20% or more, and for some reason, the head girl, AC, I guess she just decided she didn't like me anymore and gave me a 15 minute pedicure instead of a 40 minute pedicure. When I asked her why she was already polishing my nails after only about 13 minutes she proceeded to scream at me in front of everyone there. Not that there were a lot of people there. And maybe that's why. read more

They go way too fast. My nails chipped with gel in less than 24 hours and I went to get them fixed and they went so fast again to fix them. Slow down and take your time and you'll have better outcomes and better reviews and less angry customers. good customer service but typical nail salon and low quality nails. read more

Tom was amazing. I went with the ultimate package for my gel pedicure and loved it. The massage was so amazing, relaxing and exactly what I want out of a pedicure. I enjoyed the experience. Amy was so fun. She did a lot to help us to have a wonderful experience. HOWEVER, in our group of girls that went together one of us had two nails chip after the third day and mine started to come loose and chip after about a week. Another girl in her group had hers start to chip after 5 days. Now mine are all cracking at they've only been on a week and a half. One of us had a pretty crooked nail put on with acrylics. I appreciate how hard Amy worked to be friendly and fun with us but the other techs were not friendly. I wish I could recommend them but with how fast our nails chipped I just can't. read more

Don't go here! Disappointed and never coming back. I came in after work at 5, and the boss lady acted like it was such an inconvenience that I was there right off. It wasn't busy at all, so I thought maybe I came in close to closing time so I double checked and no, they close at 8. Next she asked what I wanted done. I showed her my super outgrown/chipped acrylics and told her I wanted to take them completely off and just get dip on my natural nail. She told me no that I should just get these acrylics filled and told me it would take more time to do what I want. I was not in a time crunch so I told her nicely that I want what I asked for. So she started taking off my acrylics in a hurry and in the worst way I've ever experienced! She jammed a metal looking blade underneath the acrylic and started ripping them off not gently. The ones she couldn't get off she took nail clippers to and ended up cutting and damaging the hell out of my natural nail. SHE ENDED UP SUPERGLUING PARTS OF MY NAILS BACK ON THAT SHE CUT OFF!! ): The whole service was awful I don't know why I even tipped her. The gel polish finish chipped not even 24 hours into getting them done. They use cheap product. Don't go here! read more

I stumbled upon this fabulous salon today after a long day at work and it was just what I needed. My pedicure was amazing and the staff made sure that I was fully relaxed the entire time. I also had my nails filled and AC was AMAZING. Not only did she do a fabulous job filling my nails but she is a very talented nail artist. I've had pedicures throughout the Salt Lake Valley, and JC Nails is by far the best salon. Yoi get a long-lasting wonderful pedicure but WITH A HOT STONE massage on your feet and legs for just $20. Tom and A.C are amazing. Also, you can get your brows waxed for $9. Great service. Highly recommended. read more

I have been going to Amy (owner) to have my nails for about 15 years. Even when I moved 20 miles away... I still came back. Then when she moved her business from West Valley City to Holiday, I still followed her ... She always does such a great job and always asks about my family. She makes me feel like I matter. Not just a number or a paycheck. She is very professional and great at making my nails look beautiful. When my mother was still hear she made mom feel great and did crazy fun designs on her nails. She is worth the drive no matter where you live. If I could, I would give her 10 stars! read more

My guess is the gel topcoat wasn't fully cured, but the color on my thumb, and the shiny coat on 2 other nails came off and was totally stripped! :( Thats okay, though!
