I don't care much about my doctors but I want to be able to understand them. Second, you get great medical care and everything is under one roof. They don't have to send you to this place and that place for tests. You just walk down the hall. I had a gastro-interologist in St Joe who could not diagnose a diseased gall bladder (even after tests), Dr Al's nurse diagnosed it and Dr Al diagnosed it in about 2 minutes. After some tests, it was cofirmed and they removed it. After 6 weeks and numerous doctrs, the little hospital that could, did. The nurses and doctors are great. I recently had a kidney stone and even though I was in pain drove past 2 ER's to get to Hopedale and what I knew would be good care. The last time I had a kidney stone the nurse at Bro-Menn gave me an IV and morphine (didn't tell me she was giving me morphine) and then had to go get the head nurse because she "blew out a vein" whatever that meant. Then they let me drive away with all that morphine in my system. I also could hardly understand what the doctor was saying. You want good quality medical care....the little medical complex in the prarie is your place.

The residents seem very happy and are kept quite busy with all the available activities. They had 2 musical performances during our stay and the living room was full of residents. From what I saw they encourage them to stay out of their rooms and in very social settings which is a far cry from Lewis who tried to rush them to bed after dinner. I wish we had found them for his rehab as the area is large, bright and a variety of equipment. It is a drive to Mt. Pulaski from Springfield but well worth it. I highly recommend if you or a loved one need care to consider them, we were impressed from the moment we hit the grounds. They have independent living around the outside and as needs change the resident can be moved to the main building. I'd like to thank you for the dignified care you gave him during his final days, you kept him comfortable physically, spiritually and emotionally.

It was around 2:30 p.m. and an average amount of patients. were waiting to see their doctors. It seemed they flowed in and out easily and my wait wasn't long. The tech named Jennifer who did my eye exams was personable and really nice. She was easy to talk to and fun to be with. I had to wait in the waiting room while my eyes dilated for about 20 minutes, but it was well worth the wait to keep healthy eyes. Dr. Joseph Harman was very well groomed and professional. I was relieved to know I didn't have a serious problem and hope to return next year for a recheck. Thank you Dr. Harman and your wonderful staff.. My only suggestion is bring someone to drive you home if your eyes are dilated. I didn't need sunglasses as it was raining today, but if it's sunny out take them.

Marine in the Vietnam War, was an encouraging meeting. The Director said that the staff would work with him to "get him off the Hoya Lift". That's what I needed to hear that there was a place in Decatur where my husband might be able to use a Walker again, with assistance. Several CNA s and the physical therapist gave him loving attention and in a couple of months he was able to use the walker with a gait belt assistance. A miracle! I chose to live with my husband so I saw everything that occurs, even at night. No place is perfect but Lincolnshire Place comes close to it and we had lived in 3 other assisted living/ memory care places in the general area. We are Vegetarians and the chef and kitchen staff worked to accommodate our needs and were always open to suggestions. Every apartment has beautiful views of Nature....pine trees on one side, the lovely courtyard on another side, and the amazing corn field on the side we lived on where we watched the corn grow taller everyday. I walked him with his wheelchair alongside the corn field after every meal. We moved to Tennessee in October to an assisted living residence. My husband passed away peacefully there in mid December. I'm moving on to the ISHA Yoga Center where he and I had planned to move around this time until his health declined. Lincolnshire Place was the last facility he and I lived in before we moved to Tennessee and I'm very appreciative that we discovered LSP before we moved away from Decatur, IL

We could not have asked for more loving caregivers. Mom was in the hospital and we ultimately decided to let go. She was allowed to return to Lincolnshire in hospice care and die with dignity and privacy with our family there. During her three years, staff responded to every request from helping her with confusion over the television to hunting down her newspaper. I never saw a resident with food or stained clothing, or who was unclean. The staff treated my mom like their grandma. I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband needed a full upper and a partial on the bottom, we chose the top of the line, it cost around $6000. For this price you get the teeth extracted, a temporary set that they put in immediately after pulling and all the adjustments you need for a year. After the year is up and your gums have healed and shrunk, they do the impressions for your permanent dentures. So for a little less than $6000, my husband received the extraction of 18 teeth, several adjustments to the temporary dentures, then his permanent full upper and partial lower. My husband is very satisfied with his dentures and the care he received!!! Dr Conroy, Ashley and Lisa are very good at their profession, not to mention kind, empathetic and personable. We were very impressed with the care my husband received and for a very affordable price!!!
