She contacted my surgeon fo his approval, he was very impressed with her knowledge. I did 4 sessions of the needling and I feel so much better, I'm back to the gym and walking my dogs. They also remember your name and ask how you are. I had an evaluation with Kara. She is very interested in your particular situation and in your therapy needs. She is great at multitasking all the individuals, under her care, plus she always gives a "shout out" to you, by name, asking how you are doing and feeling in whatever exercise you are doing. She has time for everyone and gives personal attention at every visit. I have worked with Emily as well. She is always smiling and is just as enthusiastic as Kara. All the therapists that I have seen are polite, caring and give you the best care and treatment. Do not patronnize Bay State Physical Therapy Taunton unless you are looking for sub par treatment…read more Since this is a large company with some 27 clinics in eastern Mass, I suspect you might receive similar treatment at other BS clinics as their policies are established at "the top" and personal needs of an individual don't matter - just the $$$ bottom line - although this part is just my own assumption at this point. After 2 years of dealing with an on/off again muscle-nerve condition my GP had been urging me to consult BSPT for treatment. As it began to worsen with not much let-up I agreed to give them a try. On my first appt, I was greeted by M, the director of this clinic. M is a DPT (Dr. of Physical Therapy). Doctors of PT are highly trained - they must receive a minimum 6 years education as I understand. My exam and evaluation was very thorough. She then started with some deep tissue treatment and warned me that I might feel some pressure but to bear with her. I started feeling better from Day One. On second visit I told her that I felt better but I had not really felt a lot of pressure so she then raised it up a notch and it was great! I felt even better. She really knew her stuff and she was very very strong. I was extremely confidant that with her help I would be well.....This is where things went wrong. Next visit I have someone new, a PTA (Physicasl Therapy assistant). The problem was not so much as her only being an assistant but she had very little physical strength needed to penetrate that muscle to get it to loosen up. After the assistant's second consecutive treatment I asked M what was going on. I asked her if she could at least treat me herself every other visit. This is where I started getting the run around. M told me she was not doing me because my appts are at 2PM and that is when she goes to lunch. I changed my appts to 3PM - nothing changed. The following week I told the receptionist that I wanted M - thinking if there were a problem with her doing this she would tell me - nothing changed, still had the pta giving me the ineffective treatments. On the day of my next appt I just called and cancelled that and all future appts unless I could have M. There was no offer forthcoming. This was 3 weeks ago. MY GP who has been on vaca and returns this week. I have been suffering and pain is now so bad I cann t even bend over for fear of having pain shoot down my leg leading to a panic attack (sorry, sounds dramatic but its true). Just one more thing, during one of my last appts a man came in asking M if she could help him as he was in pain. He had been a patient but had skiipped his last appointment. After being chastised by M and the assistant for not showing up for his last appt he was treated by M. I ran in to him leaving in the parking lot and he said he had given up his appts because the same asst who was treating me was treating him and was doing no good. As patients, most of us pay for our insurance and our co-pays with hard earned money in good faith that our provider will give us the best treatment possible. Bay State Physical Therapy does not do this- Bay State Therapy cuts corners. SHAME ON BAY STATE THERAPY!

I waited an entire month for my initial appointment, and after three weeks of consistent sessions with an excellent physical therapist, I attempted to re-book only to find that my therapist was fully booked for the next six weeks. It is disappointing that the office does not provide scheduling priority for existing patients who are already in active treatment. This is unfortunate, as the physical therapist I worked with was exceptional and dedicated.

Monday morning after thanksgiving I called Elliot hoping to get an appointment. I'm not sure if they heard the desperation in my voice or if that's how they run their practice, but they were able to get me in immediately. And I mean immediately! Like I called at 9something and they got me in for 10am! I got to my appointment with Julie with weakness and numbness in my right leg. I felt better right away and have been getting stronger everyday and have no pain! I had an emergency with my dog and had to cancel my appointment for yesterday. Emily (one of the girls from the front desk I think) called me today to check on me and my dog! After one of the worst days of my life yesterday, it was so nice to hear from Emily.
