I have to let you guys know, my hair is burned off from my blowout. I know not from the chemicals, but from the heat settings on the straightener. I even commented that her iron was much hotter than the last place I went for my blowouts. There is a layer on the top where the hair was burned off and is only 2 inches long (my hair is mid back length) luckily I can slick it down, but I notice it! The blowout also did not make my hair straight. It's just a bit less wavy than usual and just not frizzy and poofy. Luckily I only paid a groupon price, but even so, it wasn't my best money spent. Update: I just went into the salon to have them look at my hair and they had the nerve to say my hair was already like this before my blowout, so I asked if there was anything they can do, to repair etc and they said they would refuse working on my hair. I did not intend going in there to ask for a refund, but after some arguing back and forth, I asked if they could just refund me. They obviously said no, which is fine and expected. It just makes them look worse. So pretty much they won't fix my hair, won't refund. So where does that leave me? Out of luck with crunchy, straw like hair as a gift from them. Then they had the nerve to CALL ME A SCAMMER! They said "people like YOU do this all the time! You're a scammer!" Excuse me?! People like ME? I simply went in there to see if they could fix my hair in any possible way. People like ME... I almost didn't even contact them because I didn't want to put a working moms job in danger! I even tipped Rachel! I wasn't even mad before, it's hair, it grows back, I just really wanted them to see it. But bad customer service and being told I must be a scammer because I paid a groupon price and wasn't happy with the results?! Good grief! I'm sorry your business gets scammed, but I am in no way, shape or form a scammer or have the mentality to ever take advantage of a person or business for my own benefit! Here's another kicker! They told me they would call to have me removed from their property if need be! I got a good laugh out of that because I am a small, soft spoken person, sitting there, trying to stand up for myself while staying calm and explain my situation without being heard and being talked at by 3 employees... Just. WOW! Good luck to this business because with service like that, I'm not sure how they are even still around. Too bad we couldn't reach any sort of agreement that had me leave there not in tears and feeling picked on. Everyone who knows me, they would know that if my hair was already like this, I would have posted a photo way long ago! I will forever spread the word of how I was treated here and the outcome of my fried off hair to all the families, co-workers and employees I know. Update: this happened in October and my hair is STILL F'd up from them. I make sure to tell EVERYONE who asks me what the hell happened to my hair exactly who, where and what happened at Ivy Salon and Spa. You get your hair done, people ask. Too bad you royally messed up!!!!!!!!! I'm still upset about this to the day and I tell and show everyone the pictures of how you ruined my hair if they even think about going to you. Wonderful! I tried them out because they are right by my work. I can't understand how this has no yelp reviews so far! This place was awesome! They treated me like a rock star. They had treats to eat! I had Veronica do my hair and never had I ever had someone put so much care into my hair before! She really made sure I was happy with the hair. Oh and let me tell you, I didn't want to wash my hair after because the products they used made my thin damaged hair feel like silk and smell amazing! Everyone client that stepped in seemed to be treated like a best friend instead of a client! The shampoo and conditioner Veronica used was awesome. She really helped me find a great summer style and you can't beat the 20% off walk ins and new client special they are having. It was a great deal and I'm a college girl on a budget but it was worth every penny! Stop and give this place a try as I know I now have found "my salon" :). Can't wait to go back again! read more

BEWARE- Read ALL the negative reviews - If your hair is shoulder length or thick you will incur an up charge on a Brazilian Blowout. It can be $99 or double of what you pay for the Groupon. They want you to come in and waste your time instead of giving you an idea how much it will be when making an appointment. They are not very friendly once they know you have the Groupon deal. I canceled my order and will not redeem or recommend this salon. There are plenty of other salons that happily accept Groupon deals without an attitude! read more

Stephanie Foley is the bomb! I thought I had died and gone to heaven! I had been going to someone else to get my hair done for years, but she closed shop and moved into another career. My friend suggested Stephanie, so I gave her a shot! She nailed it! My first time there, she built some rapport with me and then said "How do you like this color on you" (I was always a blonde, so then started highlighting my hair blonde as it dulled and became dirty blonde). I said it was "ok" but I thought it was too light and I was bored. She went medium brown and now some reds! It looks great with my coloring. She saw it immediately-- I was washed out! Soooooo many people compliment me on my hair coloring and trendy cut. Besides being a great hair artist, she's funny and down to earth. I love having my glass of red wine and chatting with her. I have been coming to Christina for years now and I LOVE love her and the salon. She has never steered me wrong. As women, we all know there's a big difference between a hairdresser who will do what you want and a hairdresser who will ruin your hair doing what you want. Christina has always given me good advice, I went from a brown almost black to blonde for my - upcoming - wedding without frying my hair at all. It took longer then I initially wanted but so glad I went with her advice. (And I straighten my hair every day.) I've been going to Stephanie Foley for a few years now and I refuse to go to anyone else now. Im extremely picky about how I get my hair cut and am very bad at explaining how I want it cut. But Steph has never let me down. I always come in extremely shaggy and I leave looking like 1000 Instagram likes haha. Steph always delivers and is always great to talk to. I recently received a groupon package for a manicure and pedicure. I called to make an appointment and the day of my appointment came and I got called into work unexpectedly, i tried calling an hour before to reschedule but got no answer multiple times. I called back today to re-schedule and then got informed that my groupon was invalid now due to a "no show" and that it was no longer redeemable and that there was nothing they can do. I would never step foot into a business that doesn't give any type of leeway to clients that has something come up unexpectedly. This is the worst salon I have ever been to. I left there crying after they butchered my hair. Since I was VERY unhappy I went back the next day and spoke with the owner to show her how bad my hair looked (it was completely uneven and way too short). I should add that I originally went to have the Brazilian blowout ( my hair was about 2 inches past my shoulders). I had gone through the style books with the stylist to choose a new style ( the one I chose looked nothing like I received. When I showed the owner the style I had chosen and what she had done she said she felt bad and that she would have a different stylist fix it. This was a surprisingly delightful find. It is kind of in a weird location (sandwiched between thrift shops, a bar and other random stuff) but once you step inside, you'll be drawn into its large, open space; warm ambiance and friendliness of the staff. On a Friday afternoon, the salon was packed with many people getting pampered in a variety of ways. On my way walking to the massage room in the back, I passed by an impressive supply of Essie nail polish in their nails section, barber chairs seated with chatting friends getting haircuts, and a tanning room. The massage itself was not bad- I got a pretty good deal from Groupon. The room is small, cozy and tastefully styled. I liked the bed because it was heated and very fluffy and relaxing. Kristen did a great job relieving the tension in my body and paying attention to specific needs. I never realized how frizzy my hair was. The whole salon is great and everyone is so nice. I spent a good few hours there for the blow out color and highlights and haircut. I felt so pampered. Complete flakes. I made an appointment for a new cut and color before my birthday. Trying a new slaon. The stylist confirms my appointment the day before. At 10pm I get texts about how her babysitter cancelled. I ask her if she can schedule me with some else because it is a new look for my birthday. She want me to come in the morning of my birthday. I cannot because I will be gone. She finnally gets it worked out and the next morning I get a call. She is running late my appointment has been shoved back 30 min. I bought this Groupon for my girlfriend for her birthday. She had been wanting a Brazilian blowout. She scheduled an appointment at the salon. I purchased the Groupon for 100 dollars, since it is the one she had sent me. When she got to her appointment they told her since her hair is "long" and "wavy" and that it was going to be 75-100 dollars more, on top of the 100 dollars I had already paid, and Ofcourse, we have to add a tip. My girlfriends hair is about three inches past her shoulders. I didn't want my girlfriend to pay this, since I had gifted it to her. She left and cancelled her appointment when she found this out and since we are saving for a house we're on a tight budget and She decided she would prefer something else if I was going to spend 200+. This was my first salon experience and will definitely not be the last. Mallory was my.... Stylist? I'm not sure on the terminology here LOL. But she was an absolute doll!!!! My hair was a medium tone brown and I went in wanting balaylage. Mal went above and beyond! It came out better than the picture I showed her and I absolutely love it. She also took a picture of the back of my hair which was completely butchered by Super Cuts - one side was longer than the other!
