It was all delicious. 〰The sides: The apple cabbage salad was a delightful surprise of flavors, and the waffle fries even beat my favorite burger joint. 〰The drink: The limocito is lemonade with fresh mint in it and it's refreshing, crisp, and not overly sweet. I don't even like lemonade and I crave this drink often. 〰The quesadilla: My friend ordered this and it's huge! It was dripping with melted cheese, which is the only way to have a quesadilla. The restaurant has a really cool vibe, colorful decor, and a mustache theme throughout the restaurant. Not only do some of the staff have amazing mustaches themselves, there are little mustaches all over the restaurant, which I found cute and playful. It's counter service with a self-serve setup on the side for an array of hot sauces, silverware, and napkins. The staff are out in the dining room clearing plates and checking on guests, and the whole place is impeccably clean. I really think this spot is perfect if you want to just hop in for a quick solo lunch or meet friends for a long catch-up dinner. I've worked in the restaurant industry on and off for over 20 years, so I can't help but notice the details (both good or bad) when I go out. The pork al pastor was even more disappointing. It didn't resemble traditional al pastor in taste or texture. It was overly sweet, lacked depth, and the pork itself was extremely dry, unfortunately dry enough to make it difficult to finish. You may also recognize their logo at the MN State Fair and their food truck at various events. Overall if you've never been to their actual restaurant and market... you gotta. They have a full market and goods side to find all of your needs to take home and cook. As well as prepared items to bring home, heat and serve. I highly suggest this for taco night at home. Everything is fresh, delicious and made there in house. They have a walk up order area with casual seating, a full sit down restaurant area and an awesome patio. In the warmer months they have their Elotes truck out near the back entrance. The customer service is friendly, welcoming and very helpful if you have questions or need recommendations. I recently was shopping the grab and go deli and was trying to decide what meat to go with and two separate regular shoppers pointed me to some awesome picks so shout out to helpful strangers. I'll pass it along if I see someone staring at the wall of options someday. The staff working the deli window was also extremely helpful in picking out a good salsa heat level and gave a few samples to ensure my decision. Remember always ask for recommendations if you're not sure!
