I moved here from FL 5 years ago. Was still searching for a legit salon until I was blessed with Isaak. Unfortunately, before finding him I had tried several other places which resulted in damaging my hair with outrageous dried hair and even a color I never requested. Imagine going in for your first highlights and coming out completely blonde that turned into Orange within a day. I was so disappointed with the results Yeah, that was what Isaak had to fix. Thank goodness I found him because he somehow moisturized my hair, recommended a good overnight mask and corrected the color. Just recently I stopped somewhere close to my home just for a blow out. Figured all hair dressers can straighten hair. Boy was I wrong. Had to go to Isaak AGAIN to try to fix the craziness they did to my hair. He was all done for the night but saw the craziness on my head and took me in. I refuse to go anywhere else. He's a Godsend. Thanks, Isaak. When I first walked in, the receptionist greeted me with something to drink. I decided I wanted to try a new hair salon since my mother in law had a good experience here. I got balayage, tone, cut and blow dry. Their price was very affordable especially how great it came out. My hair stylist name was Helen. She was very friendly and did exactly what I asked for. Do not waste your money, they do a very mediocre job, I took my daughter for a haircut, paid for an expensive haircut that included cut and blow dry and the hairdresser didn't even dry her hair. When we got home we realized it wasn't an even haircut. I had to take my daughter to a Chinese salon in flushing for a trim at $15. They did a way better job. read more

I have been there thrice, only during my first visit to this place I was totaly pleased in what I wanted to have done on my hair, the following two times where worst than a bad nigthmare, they never plesaed me in what wanted i told them first I needed a haircut then the high ligths, they did not pleased me, when I requested a fashionable haircut they did not have any idea in what to do to my hair, and they did not have haircuts magazines, the color I requested for my high ligths was not the one I got. also the people that works there did not treated me well, the fisrt time I went there they had an excellent hairstylist working for the company and I was told she was not there not more. they did a mess in my full head, my highligths were not done from my hair root, so very fast my highligths had a very bad looking, that they were not recently done. my hair cut was very bad done too. I use to have my hair done at Bumble and Bumble in NYC and Christies in Bay Terrace when I worked in Manhattan. Now that I work remotely, I've been shopping around for a good hair salon within walking distance from my home. Time and convenience were factors but I didn't want to sacrifice quality. She made a shampoo recommendation but didn't try to push an expensive product on me. What a pleasant as well as talented professional Helen is. The overall service is confident, classy and intimate. I'm use to being held hostage at some salons for hours on end because they over book. I was in and out in less than two hours. I'll be a loyalist to this lovely gold nugget salon and to Helen and am very grateful to have found them. Very reasonable rates too which were quoted up front.
