Grouponers beware: We came on a Sunday and the business owner was not physically present to cash/scan our groupon. The two workers present tried to tell us that we could not use them on Sundays. The fine print does NOT say this what-so-ever so we put our foot down since we had driven 40 minutes to get there and made a reservation days in advanced. The workers ended up taking a photo of the groupons and sending them to the business owner and the rest is history. I guess the moral of the story is to check with them over the phone about it first (not that you should have to). They made a point to tell us that the Groupon does not include tip - which is SO tacky to even mention. We ended up getting to use our Groupon in the end. The good: WOW these ladies know a thing or two. They use their whole hand, arm, elbow, get on the table, etc. to work you. My masseuse was very attentive constantly asking me if she was too hard or if more pressure was needed in addition to asking if I had any preferred areas. She was wonderful and time flew by. Yes, they do press too hard at times, but they were easy to communicate with. They even gave us a minute or two extra which was nice. My mother and I loved our 60 min massages here. The massage parlor is located in the corner of a shopping center. Unfortunately it is next to a dance studio which can be heard while you're getting massaged, but they do a nice enough job that you forget about it eventually. I went here this past Tuesday based on the good reviews here. I called at 3:30 to see if there was availability - there was, and I was able to go straight there after work at 4:00. I opted for the $69 special with aromatherapy foot bath, 30 minute pressure point foot massage and one hour body massage. My therapist was no nonsense, but friendly. I had pulled my neck/shoulder last week and we talked about the depth of pressure I was looking for. Amazing! I've had many many massages and this one was one of the best. I left feeling utterly relaxed and the tightness in my neck had melted away. Two days later I'm still pain free. She used a massage cream instead of oil, which is my preference and even used hot stones. Highly recommended, I will definitely return. read more

I was next door having a disappointing breakfast and decided to try this place. Really glad I did. I had Tina, who applied strong pressure to my liking immediately. She really worked my left shoulder, upper back and neck, placing 70% of her time on my left side - which was perfect. I did not tell her my issues, she just felt what was going on and stayed where she was needed. The hot stones were a surprise, but felt great. I was very surprised at the reasonable cost for the hour and will try 90 minutes next time. I might even go for 1/2 hour of foot massage, but I'm super ticklish and it could be a hilarious half hour. read more

1. Pressure was too hard told lady several time to do it lighter! For what ever reason she just continue doing it and just apologized again and again. 2. She keeped leaving room and interrupted my massage to deal with clients. 3. You never tell a client how much to tip! She was not happy with tip and told me i need to give her more. Note a client tips as they wish to given the service was not to my liking. She didnt give me my change back after i asked for it either. Didn't feel like arguing. 4. The lady that did my massage forced me to tip her. I was giving her something less and she goes no I need atleast $20. She and the boss lady were definitely talking crap in their language- I personally hate that. So RUDEE This place is all about greed. I wouldn't go back here. I've been seeing Yuki for over 6 years now. I followed her from Message Envy when she opened her first location in Burlington. She just opened the second location in Wakefield which is bright, comfortable and very convenient with plenty of street parking and a parking lot. Enter from the side where the parking lot is. Yuki and her team are very experienced and professional. There are many services available including therapeutic massages, acupuncture, cupping, with expertise in deep tissue. I personally go with deep tissue massage and cupping. Yuki gets all the knots and is the best masseuse I've come across. I have been going to Izumi Healing Massage since the minute they opened and they are fantastic! I see Yuki but all of the therapists are equally as amazing. Yuki used to work at another establishment where I saw her for 2 years and I was SO happy to find that she is now in this location. The studio is clean, smells great, is very relaxing and very flexible with appointment times. Massages are the full hour once you are on the table, not a full hour including changing on the way in and out. Their pricing is very reasonable for the area and they are usually running some great specials. These massage therapists are the real deal! wish there were more stars to give ... best massage. I had Cindy, and she listened to all the issues, checked on the pressure, and worked magic. I've had many massages, and nothing like this. I did the $75 special - foot soak, reflexology, and a 60 minute massage. I was having muscle issues, and had been on meds, but wasn't getting better. I woke up this morning able to move my head/neck without pain. They confirmed my appt - sent me a picture of the bldg, as it was my first time, and showed the entrance (excellent customer service, made it easy for me). My wife and I had a couples massage today. Yuki attended to my wife, Tina attended to me. I chose Izumi basis the strong reviews on Yelp. It was 5 star all the way. We were greeted with warm neck rolls, the rooms was immaculate, the tables were side by each and pre-warmed which was a nice addition on this cold day. My wife is a Wat Poh trained Thai massage therapist and a good massage critic and she was quite pleased with Yuki's pressure and exacting location. Tina was equally accurate and although she only used medium pressure, it was outstanding. The price was as reasonable as it gets and both Yuki and Tina are warm and friendly. We will be returning. The first time I went to Izumi was about 2 years ago. I walked in and was assisted immediately. Massage was overall pretty good. I went back today, and was immediately brought into a room and told to undress. I climbed under the sheet and waited about 5 minutes. She comes back in and asked if I had an appointment to which I said no. She told me that she couldn't help me because I didn't have an appointment and to get dressed. I was shocked. You just don't do that to a customer! If she had told me that at the front desk, then no problem. Instead, I had to get undressed, get under the sheet, wait, and then be told to get dressed and leave. Just a rude practice. read more

I am so grateful to have found Izumi healing massage....In the recent past I was being treated for tendonitis in my foot by a physical therapist and I walk almost continuously with my job as a health care worker...I had much pain in my feet and legs after working on my feet an 8 hour shift. well after Izumi foot massages my pain symptoms diminished greatly and my physical therapist noted my tendonitis in my foot improved!
