I was asked to pay via venmo at time of booking which I did immediately and even texted the confirmation of payment to the phone number provided. They told me that the payment was received as I was all set. On the day of the message though, as my mom was leaving the office they stopped her and asked her to pay. She told them that her daughters had already paid, but was treated like a complete criminal. The front desk person just kept yelling at her to pay. She called me and I had to send the front desk person screenshots proving that I had indeed paid. In my payment I had even explicitely included a note on my mom's name and the time and date of the appointment so there should have been absolutely no confusion. The worst thing was that once they were assured that we had paid they were still incredibly rude about it, not even appologizing for the mistake. It was such a bad experience for my mom. I also don't see how they were so "confused" about us having paid, when you can't actually even book an appointment without payment. Now mistakes do happen and this could be a one off bad experience. Except that my sister's husband also got her a message as a gift and she had the same exact issue. As she was walking out they cornered her and kept telling her the message wasn't paid for. Her husband had to call and basically run his whole bank statement by them as proof. So we had two bad experiences here within the span of one week. I think that they use this kind of tactic to confuse customers and get anyone who is maybe too embarassed or not willing to stand there and argue with them to pay twice. The massage is **absolutely not worth** the completely inefficient payment system and the utter lack of customer service and accountability when mistakes are made.

It was clear to me in the first 2 minutes she had zero training as a massage therapist. From the first touch she jerked my neck around rubbing at a speed of 100 miles an hour. She jumped around from body part to body part with no rhyme or reason. I had to tell her to use lotion because she was rubbing me so hard my skin was burning. The experience was so bizarre and excruciatingly painful. I'm mad at myself that I didn't walk out in the first 5 minutes. I'm mad that I paid for it and also gave her a tip. It was almost like she was purposely trying to hurt me. I told her at least 20 times to go lighter, that she was hurting me, not to go so hard, to "please stop." I even grabbed her elbow and hand multiple times to stop her from hurting me. She just made an audible sigh. She spoke no English, like all of the people there. That would have been fine if she knew the words for body parts or knew what "too hard" or "lighter" meant. She was drilling her elbow into my butt so hard I covered that area with my hand and said "no more. Skip this area. No." She moved on to another part then came right back to it with her elbows. I was clearly wincing with pain squirming on the table and she continued laughing as she drilled her elbows into my back, calves and butt. She kept saying "ok? Ok?" I continued to say "no! You as hurting me. I am going to be all bruised" but she didn't let up and continued with this weird laugh. She also twisted my arm behind my back during a strecth so hard I thought my shoulder could pop out. I stopped the massage about 10 minutes early. I finally sat up and said "I'm done." Every move was aggressive and over the top. Many times she aggressively grabbed my underwear and yanked them down so hard I thought she was going to rip them. I thought I was on some hidden camera show it was so bad. She then took the sheet and arbitrarily threw it on the floor after she told me to turn onto my back. I was laying there naked and she laughed again. She repeated put me in positions so my boob would come out. I started to feel like she was trying to see them. I am not a wimp by any means. I have had over 50 massages in my life and usually like a ton of pressure but this is something I can barely begin to describe. I have visible bruises on my shins, arm, and butt. I am sore all over. It was hands down the worst massage I've ever had in my life. I hesitated to post because I used to love this place but this woman is going to really hurt someone. They need to vet their massage therapists better and the town needs to make sure they are all properly qualified. They also need to learn some English. I know that is not politically correct but if they can't understand when you tell them to stop, that the pressure is too hard, to focus on an area or stay away from another area there is no point and it could actually be dangerous.

I called Mandarin half way through yesterday afternoon hoping to get in later in the day. I chose to call Mandarin based on the reviews and she was able to fit me in. I never had an Ashiastu massage before, but looking into it, decided to give it a try since my back pain was flaring up and I needed help. I was very impressed with how much better this type of massage feels over the typical ones I get. An Ashiastu massage is the type where they walk on your back, but it is much more than that. I had a hard time believing how much she could manipulate her feet and my muscles with them, just amazing. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit.

When I walked in today the woman was surprised I was there and could not understand what service I was there for even though I pointed to it on the menu a few times. After finally getting on the same page I was brought to a room with multiple chairs. She put my feet in a bucket and then massaged my arms and hands but only used lotion on my right arm and not my left which I found very odd and actually a bit painful. When it was time for the foot massage, she spent a lot of time massaging BONEY PARTS of my feet and legs. She spent a lot of time on my KNEES which I had to tell her multiple times to stop because it really hurt. She spent time on my shins and the tops of my feet and individual toes... I literally cannot stress enough how much time she spent on my knees... After all of that she only spent about 7 minutes per foot and did not even touch my heels which was the biggest reason for going in. After this she told me to follow her to a room which I'm assuming was for the body massage. She led me to the room, pointed to the bed, shut the curtain and left. I had no direction of what to do, and I didn't see a blanket or gown to be dressed or covered in so I decided to just not go through with the body portion of the massage. I went up to the desk asked if I could tip on the card and after about 5 minutes she presents a higher price than the menu showed so I tipped 18% (to compensate for the price difference) said thanks and left. She looked at the receipt and stared me down as I was walking to the parking lot. I would NOT recommend this facility for any service at all. My feet still hurt and now my knees hurt too.
